Jensen Drywall

Similar to another reviewer here, we recently scheduled drywall work with Rick on a house we had recently bought. He answered the phone himself on a Sunday (should have been my first clue?) and assured me several times that they would be able to complete the job before the week was over, which was essential to the timing of our move-​in. The day he was supposed to come meet me and go over details, and less than 24 hours before he was supposed to start the job, he let me know *by text* that he was cancelling and would not be helping us with our drywall. I worked with many contractors in the process of this project house we bought, who ranged from amazing to so-​so and this was the most unprofessional behavior I experienced hands down.

I usually don’t review companies on Unilocal but my experience was so bad that I had to leave a review. After sending over photos of some areas in which I needed drywall repair completed I received an estimate and scheduled a date for the repairs to be completed. I was told it would take all day so I had scheduled to be home from work on the repair day. I received a call on Thursday, the day before my scheduled repair date of Friday, to let me know that they were behind on another project and needed to reschedule for Monday. I agreed to do so and was told my new appointment time was Monday with arrival around 8am. On Monday, 45 minutes after the scheduled arrival time, I received a call from Rick to tell me he would have called earlier in the morning but was in a meeting and was now calling to let me know that they would not actually be coming as they were behind on another job. This cancellation was the day of, when I had already taken the day off work. I let Rick know that this was the second time I had been told they needed to reschedule and that I was not happy to hear this as I had to take off work to be home. And when I asked about a new date I was told that they had to look at the schedule again and call me back. I never received a call back and needless to say, after a day of cancellation and not rescheduling I will not be calling them to schedule a new time either. I think it is horrible customer service! It is ridiculous to cancel the morning of an appointment after work was already supposed to have started.

We had a hole in our ceiling from a water leak. Rick fixed the hole and even made the patch larger than it needed to be to also correct a poorly done previous patch. He was very professional, prompt, came in on his quoted price, and did an excellent job. Our ceiling has a knockdown texture and he matched it perfectly. I was very satisfied with the entire repair and I would highly recommend him to anyone needed some drywall work done. It is so nice to find a contractor that does such good work!

We needed a remodel finished quickly. Rick and his crew worked with us so our schedule didn’t get thrown off. They were quick, clean, and efficient. I plan on using them again.

With a new baby arriving soon, we needed to add a bedroom downstairs in a timely manner. It was highly recommended to us that we not attempt the drywall ourselves and we were told that Rick Jensen was the go-​to guy. Rick’s work and customer service were top-​notch. He was prompt, on-​budget, friendly, and patient with our 2 year old who asked him a thousand questions… It’s worth noting that our 104 year– old house sports odd and interesting angles. Rick’s 30+ years as a drywall craftsman showed as he problem-​solved joining off-​kilter walls and slanted ceilings into a beautiful, cohesive space. He takes great pride in his work and is one of the good guys!

For our master bedroom remodel this summer, we smartly decided not to try to do the drywall ourselves. After interviewing 5 drywall companies, we interviewed RIck as the 6^th and were the most impressed by him and his knowledge. We were floored by the quotes some of the other guys gave– seriously, this is just 1 ceiling we’re talking about! Rick’s prices were very affordable, as well, so we felt we’d lucked out getting our favorite guy with our favorite price quote. Even more impressive was the work and the customer service. Rick and Doug were in our house for almost a week and never ceased to be courteous, kind, and polite. This is rare for contractors and service guys! We’d had window guys, electricians, etc., and they all had been dirty, late, and discourteous. Rick and Doug were exceptionally polite and cleaned meticulously when finished. Who else would vacuum my carpet and make sure all traces of dirt and debris were gone? The quality of work? Looks awesome! We’re a bit worn out after this reno but if we brave another one in the future, we know who we’re using again.

I needed some drywall done and contacted 3 different contractors. This company was way more knowledgeable than the other two and also the best price. The job was done exactly when he said it would be and was great quality! So refreshing to have someone do what they say they are going to do! I was so lucky to have found this company, I was shooting in the dark. Rick takes great pride in his work and doesn’t try to rob you in the process. Great!
