Jorg Family Dentistry

OK I had my new patient appointment yesterday. All I have to say is that this place is amazing:
1) Totally comprehensive, asked me about my history and family history, looked at each and every tooth, my gum pockets, checked for oral cancer
2) Gave conservative treatment recommendation, other dentists have told me I needed crowns and she said I did not… yet
3) Cleaning was very well done and I felt totally different at the end, without pain!
4) Front desk was friendly and totally fun
5) Did not take long at all; there was no wait
I will certainly be back for my 6 month cleanings! Cannot recommend them enough for someone looking for a dentist in Seattle! Dr. Jorg and her staff are also very good looking which is not a requirement but a bonus! They all seem to be pregnant or have kids as well which is nice, they’re a family office.

I’m obsessive about my teeth and loved Dr. Jorg and this office. The office hours and reminders are essential for my busy schedule. Everyone is professional and friendly and remembered who I was after my first visit. If you are around the Ballard area you shoudl see Dr. Jorg!

I recently got a teeth cleaning and a filling re-​done. After those visits I have made Dr. Jorg my primary dentist.
The staff was friendly, professional and quick. I love a doctor that does not keep you waiting.
Dentists have a reputation for recommending work that does not need to be done. I appreciated Dr. Jorg because she identifies issues that need to be watched and only recommends work that needs to be done.

Lovely and professional team of women who will make you smile beautifully. Gretchen is the best.

I am one of those whack people who haven’t been to the dentist in YEARS. I mean a lot of years.
I brush, I floss, I have no pain… you know how it goes…
And suddenly on a Thursday night I had OMG PAIN in my left upper tooth/​teeth. Friday morning I hauled my bum to work but couldn’t function so I figured I’d leave and try to get in to see someone. Nope, no luck.
I had a MISERABLE weekend. It felt like someone was pounding nails through my teeth. The worst was a molar on my top left but the pain was radiating to other teeth and even to my bottom teeth on the left side. I couldn’t eat, brush, drink, it was AWFUL.
On Monday morning I went to work (I start at 5 AM) and at 7:30 I called Dr. Jorg’s office to see when they might be able to get me in. Receptionist Kate said they could see me at 10AM. Woo-​HOO!!!
They took a thorough history, checked the painful area, did tests, x-​rays, etc. and after about 30 minutes the diagnosis was, «There is nothing wrong with your teeth. I don’t know what to tell you but it might be your sinuses.»
WTF?
It turns out I had a sinus issue and it took a ridiculously painful 13 days to resolve.
I walked into Dr. Jorg’s office knowing I have neglected my dental care expecting to hand her $ 3000 for several root canals and fillings but I ended up paying her $ 88 for the exam and x-​ray.
While I was not happy to hear, «I cannot fix your pain,» I am grateful that I did not undergo unnecessary and expensive dental work. Lots of people with sinusitis have undergone root canals that DO NOT fix the problem.
I sincerely appreciate the incredibly prompt appointment and ethical (and correct) assessment of my condition.

I NEVER thought i would be so excited to submit a Unilocal review about a Dentist or Doctor. I’ve torn myself from my quest for the BEST PIZZA in Seattle to let you know about the MOST amazing dentist in Seattle (well, in my opinion).
Not only am i terrified of CLOWNS… but i am equally as terrified of dentists! a friend from the gym who is dental hygienest suggest that i see Dr. Jorg several years ago. She high recommended that i see Dr. Jorg and i would never be terrified of dentists again (Clowns? S.O.L i guess).
Her first office was right across from the Swedish Hospital, which wasn’t too painfully far from West Seattle. When she bought her own practice in Ballard~ a sane person would look for a dentist closer to home. Well, not me… my biggest fear would be ending up with a dentist in a clown’s outfit waiting for me in an office in the middle of the International District…
So, i’ve been making this trek waaaaaay up north to Ballard to see her. Through the crazy Viaduct traffic…
I can honestly tell you, that if you’re just as terrified of dentists, as i am… Dr. Jorg is the person you need to see. the drive is well worth it. Her entire staff are wonderful. very patient with wusses like me.
she has replaced 3 crowns and a bridge (among other dental ‘mishaps’ and replaced old fillings). The front office gals are thorough with the paperwork and see it that all of the insurance claims are filed correctly. no surprises!
Also, their office hours are really different: they are open from 7am to 7pm Mon-​Wed. so you don’t have a ‘gotta work’ excuse.
Dr. Jorg is VERY meticulous about her work~ which i am very appreciative.

Had to get a crown recemented and Dr. Jorg’s office squeezed me in on a Monday. She was friendly and the front desk was polite and kind.
Dr. Jorg has great chairside manner. Conversational, casual, yet professional. I’m going back there for all my dental needs.

I see Dr. Jorg in Ballard since she took over my former dentist’s practice. She is wonderful. The whole family sees her and have been very happy with the transition. The hygienists are thorough and gentle. My husband had bad luck with prior dentists so when we married I suggested he try Dr. Jorg. He has been happy with the work and there has been quite a bit to correct the sub par care he had before in Bellevue. My kids don’t even mind going to see the dentist!

Ah, the dentist. Most are terrified, including me. I haven’t been in close to nine years (ick, I know – but I do brush!). However, I had the misfortune of haing an accident where I broke my front left tooth — three days before I was to meet my father in law for the first time… Yikes! I called on a referral from a friend, and luckily they were able to get me in that afternoon.
Not only could they get me in, Dr. Jorg was funny, quick, and painless. She made my tooth look like I never did anything to it at all! I highly recommend her, for fixing to cleaning, she rocks!
