Okay, so there are a LOT of massage therapists in Seattle, especially Capitol Hill. I am so glad that I found Joshua– he is truly a hidden gem! I’ve had two massages from Joshua so far. His office is in a house converted to a health/bodyworks small business center. It’s private, cozy, and quiet. The room is nice and warm, and he uses a heated massage table, which is awesome– it sucks getting pulled out of your relaxed state by a cold draft or not being able to relax due to cold hands and feet. I was pleased that he offers the option of unscented lotion, which is best for my sensitive skin. He has an amazing way of finding the worst knots, seemingly intuitively, and melting them away. He used a lot of unique techniques that I loved(such as beginning the massage with a foot massage with heated washcloths– sooo nice!). I had never had craniosacral therapy before, and it was incredibly relaxing. When the session was over, I had that lovely floaty blissed-out feeling that I only get after a really really good massage. Joshua strikes a good balance between relaxation and therapeutic massage. I’ll definitely be back!
