This placed is overpriced, and it’s cash only. Not what I would call convenient but the food wasn’t that bad I guess.

I love the Whisky Bar. It is like the only bar in the downtown area I bother to frequent at any sort of regular interval. I have never bothered to cross the invisible line at TWB and make it over for a Kebab until very recently. While enjoying a Science Fiction Film festival w/CW and Marc, we had about an hour to kill between sessions. All the places super close to Cinerama were packed and not worth going to– line or not. So we moseyed on over to Kebab to grab something quick and portable and get back to our seats. First off — not really kebabs here. More or less kebab meat in the bread like substance of your choosing. Fine by me, cuz I like bread. I order their kebab-wich(supposedly like a philly cheese-steak) and Marc gets a burrito. And we wait. And wait. And wait. And… waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaait. Seriously, ridiculously slow service for what I would consider a simply thrown together meal. $ 7 and 30 minutes later we are basically running out the door with our food. And eh, the melted cheese was the best part of my sandwich. The meat was ok, but the spices/flavor were slightly off. The peppers were mooshy and since I was sharing my sandwich I ordered it w/the onions on it, figuring I could pick most of them out. Nope, almost as much onion as meat in that sucker so I ended up nibbling on the ends and giving the rest away. Next time Im at the Whiskey Bar i’ll eat beforehand, cuz even though it is conveniently located, Kebab ain’t really worth it.

This is a review of the restaurant attached to The whiskey Bar. it is called Kebab. The kid working here during the day on Nov 3 wouldn’t wash his hands after blowing his nose into a napkin and wiping his face. He was inside standing in front of the window while sneezing(great sales tactic). I asked him to please wash his hands before I ordered, he just gave a big dopey smile«I always wash my hands after handling money or sneezing» standing there. «So are you going to wash them?»: me «Would you like a vegetarian or chicken casadilla?» Not washing hands, standing there. «Uh, actually forget it. I’m going somewhere else because you have attitude»: me «Good luck to you!» sticking his head out window as I walk away. After that I flipped him off. Not sure what the kid’s deal is. Seems to act with a lot of impunity… dad own the shop or something? Won’t go back. If you are this kid’s manager you might want to talk to him or better yet fire him. I am about to post on 4 social sites. Going to do wonders for your business, I am sure. You are getting a lot of negative reviews on Unilocal also. Uh… do something about it?

I’m a fan — Went to Whisky Bar with some Unilocalers and was hungry after a day of drinking… Had the Kebabwich(philly cheesesteak with gyro meat), hummus and pita, and quesdilla… Everything was cheap, hot, and prepared quickly. No complaints =D

WOW. It was midnight on a Saturday, and me and my friend were the only people in line. They are a cash only establishment, and have a window where you order from the street. The cook had one order ahead of us, and we ended up waiting outside for over 30 minutes while he chatted with his drunk friends from the bar next door, in fact he let his friends into the kitchen and they were all being belligerent. It was so aggravating as it was freezing outside, he did almost everything under the sun except his effing job. Loads of people were waiting so long just to order that they decided to leave. Plus, the food wasn’t very good… I’ve never been so angry at a restaurant. They are only in business because desperate drunk people are hungry at that hour and cant discriminate as there isn’t a lot open.

Kebab didn’t make kebabs, the word must mean something else.
