Our experience with Kerwin Landscaping was positive in every way. Scott Kerwin solved numerous problems to arrive at a design that replaced a small, dreary, unused patio, with a larger, attractive flagstone patio that has added significantly to both the value and the livability of our townhouse condominium. He was able to use the available space in creative ways that employed a curvilinear design of quartzite flagstone, bringing light and beauty to the space. In addition, he improved the surrounding landscaping and garden. His crew is competent and professional. He is easy to work with and knowledgeable in many areas of landscape, garden, and design.

Wow — remarkable how accurate these Unilocal reviews can be at times. I also received a recommendation for Scott Kerwin from Swansons Nursery — the only recommended landscaper name they gave me — and similar to C.T.‘s review here I assumed Kerwin would be great as well simply by association. Wrong. Scott actually did return my call and come out to my house, we spent about an hour walking through the yard and discussing the plans, and then he said he would get me an estimate in a few days. That was a month ago. The worst thing is that every week since then he’s emailed me to say that he is sorry he hasn’t gotten me the estimate yet, each time for a different unforseen reason — busy/​delayed/​etc. — and each time promises to get me the estimate within a few days. If I hadn’t already received a reasonable quote from another landscaper and started the work, I would really be pissed that he basically blew me off for over a month, while still continuously promising me an estimate that never came. What a complete waste of time. Beware.

My review is based on the non-​responsiveness of the company, NOT the actual services they provide. I got the referral from Swansons Nursery that I frequent. I contacted the company twice; via email and phone. Two weeks have come and gone and I have yet to hear any response from the company.
I am sure Swansons would not have referred me to Kerwin Landscaping if the company does a poor job. But the non-​responsiveness does raise a red flag for me personally as to how punctual and professional their (bi)monthly or even weekly service would be.
