My doctor retired and I was looking for a doctor that treat the ‘total’ me and a doctor that wasn’t close to retirement, because I don’t want to do this again. I did’t want to race around to an endocrinologist(for a basic thyroid issue) and a gynecologist(having no previous issues). This is Dr. Kober’s sweet spot — she gets the whole you. Yes, it took 6 weeks to get an appointment, as Dr Kober accepts a couple of new patients each month. She and her staff were worth the wait. Because of this management, Dr Kober is able to spend time on you.

I have been going to Dr. Kober since I moved here in around 2000. She is incredibly smart, thourough, caring and empathetic. When you have an appointment with her, she really listens and you don’t feel rushed at all. I moved away from seattle about 11 years ago, just about 20 mies north, but I don’t want to find a closer MD because she is really the best.

Don’t get too excited about Dr. Kober’s high ratings and listings in Seattle Magazine. I called for an appt. and asked the receptionist if she accepted new patients. I was told rather snootily that Dr. Kober would decide if she wanted to see me or not and that she would call me back. Never heard from her.

I went to Dr. Kober based on the review below, and so I far I really like her. I just had an appointment for a general checkup and she seemed very friendly and thorough. The office staff is friendly, my appointment was on time, and overall it was a good doctor experience.

Dr. Kober is a fabulous doctor, and if you don’t believe me, then pick up Seattle Magazine – she has been on the list of Best Doctors in Seattle for several years running. She is a Doctor of Internal Medicine at Minor and James Medical. I was referred to her by my former doctor(who now works at a boutique practice where you have to pay something like $ 50,000 to be a patient and then they are at your beck and call) – he is a patient of hers!!! She was also voted Best Doctor in Western Washington in some other survey – I think it might have been KING5. And she was also listed as one of the top 10 Primary Care Physicians in the Seattle area by the Seattle Times. She is thorough, she listens, she is empathetic. She’s great!
