KR Trigger Building

Super cool industrial space. We came here for a friend’s birthday party and were impressed by the upstairs location. It had a large wet bar for stocking, ample dining space for a party of thirty, and a hipster view of SoDo. We strung up white lights and laid out a catered buffet that our friends brought in. It was as intimate as it was festive and hey, free parking! Now all I need is a reason to rent the space myself.

The KR Trigger Building is a fabulous place to celebrate any type of occasion! I have had numerous parties there and Andre, the owner, is fabulous to work with. The price is extremely reasonable, and if you get a banquet permit you are allowed to bring in your own alcohol (which saves everyone tons of money compared to going to the bars). There is an ice machine, refrigerators to store food/​drinks, a fabulous sound system with the ability to hook up an ipod, and you can park in the parking lot for free– and if you need to leave your car over night you are welcome to. You can also hook up kegs– and there is a great little brewery downstairs you can rent kegs from.
Overall, the space is great, the size is comfortable for up to 45 – 50 people, the bar is shaped like the hull of a boat (SO awesome!) and the view is amazing too! Oh and did I mention there are huge neon signs that you can have lit up (not in the room itself but looking to the center of the building). It’s a great spot! I will be having many more celebrations there!

This place is pretty awesome. The owner Andre is great, the venue has a really cool dive bar feel to it, and the price is right. I had my 24^th birthday party here and had a great time! He had a sound system set up, the bar is pretty functional, you can bring a keg and have it on tap if you want. There’s enough seating there but if you are having like a sit down dinner type thing I would bring more tables. Overall I had a great experience and would come again.

I rented this place for a girlfriend’s bachelorette party … just about 15 – 20 of us. It was the perfect size… probably could’ve gotten another 10 – 15 people in there if we wanted. The bar is super cool (looks like the bow of a boat) … there’s a hook-​up for a keg and plenty of space in the cooler to store food and booze. A full sink, ice machine, stereo, flat screen… we hooked up a karaōke machine to the tv/​stereo and it worked out well. André was very easy to work with. I’d highly recommend if you’re looking for a small space to hold a party or poker night… any small event.
