Horrible, horrible, horrible jewelry store. I received a bracelet as a gift about 6 months ago, and after the second time wearing it, the leather strap ripped apart — luckily I was able to find the bracelet after it had fallen off my wrist. When I brought it back to the store, I was expecting them to either fix it free of charge or give me store credit. The owner wasn’t there and the sales lady didn’t know what to do, and so she kept going in and out of the back room as she spoke to the manager on the phone. The sales lady then repeatedly told us that we would have to PAY $ 10 to get it repaired, and that was the only option. I would have to PAY to fix a bracelet I bought from THEM that I wore TWICE? What kind of customer service is that? I finally spoke to the manager on the phone and she proceeded to yell at me, telling me I had to pay to get it repaired or there was no other choice. What a ridiculous, cheap place. Sure, they might have some unique, affordable jewelry, but what’s the point in paying money for something that will eventually break, and that the«brand» won’t even bother covering for you? You get what you pay for. Don’t waste your time and money here.

Horrible experience. I puchased a pair of silver earrings(long back wires) and the saleslady gave me a pair of rubber backings so they would not slip out of my pierced ears. When I tried to wear them, the backings would not fit and one wire bent slightly from the attempt, but could be bent back into shape.(Their silver jewelry tends to be paper-thin so bending is a natural occurence.) Having lost many earrings and not wanting to go through the experience again, I returned the earrings. I was open to exchanging them but not after the bad treatment I received. The saleswoman(who treated me like a criminal) made numerous calls to the store owner, took photos, and they debated whether or not I should be able to return them due to their THREE-DAYPOLICY for returns!!! Yes – you read it right: THREEDAYS. They finally relented to giving me a store credit, which is useless to me now. I wouldn’t set foot in that store if you paid me. Selling jewelry is an art, which includes treating customers with dignity and class. Kuka Pradel has neither of these prerequisites, and they do not beloing in a world class hotel.

I’m surprised and pleased to find a beautiful, well priced, l one-of-a-kind jewelry store in the Olympic Hotel block downtown(I tend to think of this block as the land of rich visitors). It’s an elegant little space with gorgeous silver pieces. The owner/designer has found the sweet spot between high end and imitation, original pieces with more than reasonable price tags. I found a necklace and earring set with amethyst and a pretty ring with a cut stone — 200 for everything. I can see shopping for friends here, too. Very professional, friendly service.

The silver jewelry in this store is wonderful, sort of contemporary and traditional at the same time. The finish and quality of what I have bought are what I normally see when I am shopping in the best jewelry stores although the prices do not seem to be as high. The people who work here are friendly and helpful and I do not feel like they are pushing me to buy something which is really important to me since I hate to be pushed in a store. This store definitely seems to offer good value.
