Such a wonderfully intimate and romantic Italian restaurant. I’ve been wanting to go since I walked by one night months ago. The candle lit dining tables beckoned to me through thin window curtains. We finally got to sit at one and it was every bit as romantic and exquisite as I’d imagined it to be. Fabio greeted us at the door with his heavy beautiful Italian accent and we knew right then that we were in for some legit and authentic Italian food. And we were! We started with the garlic bread. Do yourself a favor and just listen to the sound the bread makes when you bite into it. It’s like something right out of «eat pray love». Fabio recommended an amazing white wine that was fruity, and it paired really well with the caprese over eggplant and the prawn pasta. I’m not really a sea food pasta lover, personally… But it was executed as well as I could hope it to be. Very fresh and vibrant flavors with gigantic prawns that leave nothing to be desired. I was already so satisfied with the appetizers anyway. But next time we go, we’re definitely trying one of their risottos… Or fettuccini… or spaghetti… or veal Parmesan… Lol lets just say this is the first of many visits!

I’m gonna start with my conclusion first. I had better tasty Italian cuisine with this much cost. However, 5 stars on my waitress! First timer here — just followed Unilocalers’ reviews — lol. The man sat me the small table as close as the entry door b/c I was… all alone:(even though the space wasn’t crowded at all. Every time someone opened the door the cold wet winds blew into my two fat legs under the table… Foods: 1) Appetizer: Garlic bread — lots garlic, nice!, but nothing special, that’s it. The way I do it at home. $ 5.95 — oh no! 2) Entrée: Black Linguine w/Salmon — Salmon was over cooked a little and the lemon creamy sauce was salty. The noodles didn’t taste made here from scratch like I was expecting. $ 24.95. 3) Dessert: Triramisu — It can be better than this. I doubted it is made from scratch as they said. Even Cheesecake Factory one is creamier and more chocolaty than this. This is just sweet, that’s all. — $ 9 Again, the service was just perfect, the atmosphere made me comfortable and the lady’s room was cozy. The food that I puzzled…

If you could imagine what it would be like to eat in a classic Italian restaurant or if you had an Italian family and you just came back home from a long vacation and wanted some amazing home cooking, this place would be it. After all, I have been to Italy. Well, the Italian Pavilion at Epcot in Disney World so it’s almost like the same thing. The restaurant itself looked exactly like a house inside with a ton of dining rooms. I could swear I would get lost in there. The staff was exceptionally nice and treated us like family. T The older gentleman taking our orders and serving us was such a treat. For the hour and a half we were there, I almost believed he was my long lost Italian grandpa. To start, the bread was freshly baked and one of the best appetizer breads I’ve had. The three cheese tortellini was very cheesy and very thick, just the way I hoped it would turn out. The cannelloni di pollo was flavorful and saucy but for the price and with just two cannelloni, I would pass next time.

I just, am obsessed with this place. I love everything about it, the food, the service, the fact that when you walk in you don’t feel like you are in Belltown. Go with your spouse/partner, best friend, girls night, guys night… I just wish I could eat here for every meal.

I’m so happy my guy took me here to his favorite Italian restaurant. This place is very quaint and super charming. It’s a very romantic place for lovebirds and someone who just wants really good food! The portions are the perfect size and you never leave out feeling bloated or half asleep. The owners and staff are all from Italy, I think the Sicilian area. I love the Italian music they place because it definitely sets the tone. For the food, we had the green salad with pomegranate seeds. It was so light and extremely delicious. I had one of their chicken dishes and my guy had the veal, we topped it off with a glass of Cabernet and for dessert, the tiramisu cake. The dinner was really good and the cake was rich and extremely yummy. I’ll definitely come here again. You won’t be disappointed at all visiting this staple of Seattle.

I’m a vegetarian and I loved the food here. Melanza and bruschetta was yummy. Gnocchi with pesto was good too. Pretty expensive though.

Quick walk from the hotel, really enjoyed this little authentic feeling Italian restaurant. The entryway down a few stairs and through the courtyard is really cute. The two gentlemen running the place were both very nice. We had garlic bread and a bottle of chianti. The wine was very reasonably priced. The garlic bread was not exactly what I thought I’d get… I was expecting garlic rolls but instead it was like thin sliced Italian bread with oil spread across and garlic on top. It was pretty good. We ordered the cannelloni stuffed with veal with a tri colored sauce. It was so cute to see the dish served up as the Italian flag. The tri colored sauces were a marinara, white cream/cheese sauce and a pesto sauce. We also had the tortellini farsamagru. It was quite tasty and I even got the side of chopped garlic I requested, which made it that much better. The background music, the service, the food… good!

I wish I came when they had tables by the fountain. The restaurant is the kind of place to think it will be a classic Italian restaurant and prefect for place to have a date. The food is really tasty but a little«heavy» for modern tastes. I had the escarole salad(I stupidity read this as escargot for sum reason as my brain failed me) which is warm so be prepared. The pasta dishes are classic heavy Italian but done to a high standard. They have a good wine list but the cheapest bottle is $ 40. I maybe cheap but $ 40 will keep some from buying a bottle. House wine should be that much! Go have fun a fun time hear.

This place gets five stars for the food alone, but service is fine as well! I have been here twice now and both times blown away. The first time I went was about two years ago during Summer. We sat outside next to the beautiful fountain and ate lunch. I had the chicken Marsala which I then swore was one of the best meals that I had ever had. One thing that I enjoy about this restaurant is that the lunch menu is simple about 10 – 12 options including entrees and starters. Today when I went the menu was very similar and I was tempted to get the chicken Marsala, but I decided to try something new this time. I got the cheese tortellini with pistachio cream sauce. This dish was amazing. The creamy cheese flavor was powerful and had a hint of lemon to cut the richness. It was topped with crushed up pistachios. I could not finish the dish because it was so rich, but I will tell you if I could I would. Outstanding. My lunch date got the risotto primevera. This was a slightly creamy pesto sauce risotto with small chopped up vegetables such as carrots, peas, and zucchini. This dish was also delicious, but of course could not compare to the other two. We started the meal off with complimentary bread and olive oil then ordered one of the two salads offered which was the Gorgonzola mixed greens. Both tasty.

From the moment we walked in the staff was terrific and attentive. Our water glasses were never less than half full, and there was always bread on the table. The ambiance was also exactly what we were looking for, on an evening date. Now for the meal. We both got a glass of the house Chianti which was splendid, as well as the garlic bread which was truly Italian. I had the black linguini with smoked salmon in the lemon cream sauce, and it was as tender and delicate as I had imagined. My partner went with the Marsala chicken risotto, which had one of the most dynamic and flavorful sauces either of us have experienced. While I was enjoying my dish thoroughly, one bite of his made me nearly wish we had switched plates. This is a beautiful little spot. Make your reservations for tonight!

Enjoyed a wonderful evening, sitting outside in the courtyard of this quaint Italian restaurant. My wife and I took our eight year old granddaughter out for Italian. At first, we were concerned that the place might not be kid friendly. There is no kids menu, but that was not a problem. Our server, Mario, was the consummate professional. Michele and I enjoyed the halibut special. Our granddaughter had spaghetti with meat sauce. Mario recommended a Montepulciano with our entres. It was reasonable priced and just perfect. The tiramisu for dessert was simply sensational. Funny note. I asked Mario if they made their own pasta, which tasted fresh and handmade. He told us that a local German is the source of their perfect pasta!

What can I say about this place besides wow, the food is amazing we got the tortilini with cream sauce, pine nuts and spinach and it was as close to a perfect blend of each ingredient that I have had in any Italian restaurant and this is coming from a NYC boy. After that was an amazing cannoli with a white chocolate cream sauce to top an already perfect meal that my ch more memorable. The price is high, but the food quality justifies it and can honestly say it was worth the price(both dishes were about $ 30.00. The wait staff was friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was very romantic and cozy. Great place in Seattle and one of the best Italian food places I have ever had.

Beautiful Place! Great People! Amazing Food! We had the Cheese Tortellini with Gorgonzola Pine Nut Cream Sauce and sautéed Spinach. The dish is so good and so decadent. But the show stopper is the Cannoli; it is served atop a drizzle of raspberry and honey orange glaze. It’s a bit pricey at $ 9.00 each, but well well worth it. I saved a bit of my pasta for tomorrow just so I could enjoy the divine crispy creamy yummy dessert. Thank you La Fontana. Best Italian food in the city, and best dessert of all nationalities hands down.

I am picky when it comes to Italian food. To worth the calories intake, it has to be great. This place rests in a residential complex, with multiple dining rooms, very cozy and intimate dining experience. We had the eggplant spinach starter, the eggplant was roasted to perfection and the spinach crispy and coated with olive oil. Then we each had a pasta dish, the pasta special of the day and the seafood ink pasta with salmon. I like a red sauce so I vote for the daily special, pasta Norma, with eggplants, peas and fish. For dessert, I did not try the flan my bf ordered, it looks good and he finished it.

Totally Excellent experience. Very quaint, family owner spot in Belltown — I was greeted by the owner and seating promptly. Table service was outstanding. Very small dining area, very intimate. House Pinot was excellent, Caesar salad was great, but the dish that made the night was the entrée, Cannelloni di Vitello — simply superb. Italian in Seattle does not get better than this!

I love this place! I have never ever been disappointed in the food, the staff or the overall experience. The location is too cute, nestled into an older building and really has a romantic vibe. I absolutely LOVE the Calamari(Served cold, not fried and in pesto– tastes very fresh). All pasta dishes are amazing and I am usually tempted by their specials. The wait staff is kind, helpful and fun to be around. And on Saturday nights there is a piano player! I just came here for a birthday dinner and they were great! I am a HUGE fan.

Came here for my birthday dinner tonight. The place is a hole in the wall small restaurant located in a quaint courtyard. The exposed brick walls and small tables with linens gives it an old world charm. The staff was very friendly and we were seated right away. The menu had a variety of options although it is a little steeply priced, but the food made up for it. I got the salmon black linguine pasta and garlic bread. The pasta was awesome. Great flavoring with the lemon crème sauce and salmon. I’ll admit I cleaned my plate. Once dinner was over the waiter brought over a tray of fresh made desserts. Yum. I opted for the cannoli with crème, lemon, and strawberry sauce. They brought it back with a lite candle. Very sweet! My only con is the alcohol pricing. $ 10 for house wine is steep and corking fee is $ 35.

SERVICEWASHORRIBLE! Food was good but service ruined everything. We walked in the first room where there were 2 parties were having a lovely romantic dinner but they sat us in the next room where there was a party of 15+ and annoying little children. I ordered the Tortellini Farsumagru and it was good. My brothers had Spaghetti Norma and a Fettuccini del Bosco and those too were good. I would expect for the price we paid for the food that service would match. Our waiter was very grouchy and had attitude like he was on his period. He was appalled at every request we had like for crushed red pepper, he made the ugliest face. I’ve never gotten so much attitude for a refill of coke(which was $ 3.75 a pop x4=$ 15!!!). Whatever I wouldn’t have mind paying that if I got service with a smile. Will not come back. If you choose to dine here, be very patient. FOODISGOODTHOUGH.

Well, my Unilocaler helpers, assisted me find to some good chow in a town I’ve never been to. I had a very good dining experience here while visiting Seattle for the first time and I thank you. It was a nice ambiance and feel walking and I could tell that a lot of locals come in here often. For starters I had the cold calamari salad, marinated with pesto. It was good… not amazing, but it was unique… different… I liked it. For my main entrée I had The Spaghetti Norma for 17.95. Eggplant sautéed with olive oil, garlic and tomato sauce topped with ricotta cheese. It was pretty good, and had a good tasting red sauce and that’s always a plus, because you never know what you’re going to get when it comes to a red sauce and Italian restaurant. I had a cannoli for dessert. This one had an excellent Sicilian style filling and there’s not many restaurants that make it this way with with just the shaved chocolate and no crappy candied fruit mixed in. Overall was real happy with the place and I’ll give this place a solid B /B+. I like it and I’ll be back.
