Ladonna’s Cleaning Service

I am giving 1 star only because I am not allowed to give 0 or negative star. Unilocal should seriously consider adding this option for such worst services.
Ohhhh God! Why did I not check her Unilocal reviews before hiring this lady! I 110% agree with all the negative reviews here. I want to save others from her so writing a detailed review.
Pros — No pros!
Cons —
* Her cleaning is not at all professional. We got our 1 bed apartment cleaned from her on our move-​out day. She did a really BAD job. The floors were not cleaned well, the kitchen drawers were not even touched and the list goes on. We had to pay same huge amount to our owners to get professional cleaning done again because this lady did not do her job well. So, for a 1 bed apartment we paid a total of 400 $.
* She does not come with the necessary cleaning equipments and supplies. So she just ‘manages’ to get away with the cleaning with whatever she has.
* She told me that her assistant will join her for cleaning and we should pay for 2 persons for same amount of time. But I honestly believe, the other lady did not start the job right away– as she was not present when we left– she came later– she was supposed to buy food for them so I am sure she joined pretty late. But still we paid for complete time for 2 persons.
* She talks toooooo much — Honestly I could not handle her ‘useless’ talk on the day of my move-​out. (Trust me– she talks so much, I just could not stand one more minute with her, and I left and told my husband to take care of things with her). I had my movers waiting for me and this lady was not ready to shut her mouth! How inconsiderate and unprofessional is that. I strongly believe she uses this strategy to fool and misguide you — so she can charge you heavily for the job she does not do well! She entered the apartment and started blah-​blah-​blah. and as we needed to take care of other important things we could just listen and not argue. She just BOMBARDS you with lines such as– ‘this is so dirty and that is so dirty’ ohh this cannot be done’ ‘i will need more time’ etc etc.
Common lady. it is dirty and that’s why we have hired you to clean it in the first place! do your job! Why would we call you if everything is clean!!!
* She manages to increase the hours by hook or by crook. Be very careful. Or better do not hire her and get saved.
* We were not able to physically be present and supervise as we had other important stuff. She completely took advantage of this situation and got away with bad cleaning. I think this is breaking the trust of your clients.
* THIS HAS HAPPENED TWICE. My husband had her number from one of his previous cleaning so I just called her. I thought how bad can it be. but believe me it can be very bad!
* And again, yes. she increased the hours and got more money from me. I would not have complained about more money, if atleast she could have done a better job.
In short, Save yourself and hire someone else.

I was misled by all of the five-​star reviews Ladonna’s had on Google+ and made the mistake of not checking Unilocal before I scheduled a cleaning with her.
Even before she arrived, she called me to let me know she was on her way from somewhere that should’ve only taken her 15 minutes. Instead, nearly an hour goes by without hearing from her. When she finally arrived, I asked if there was traffic, and she said that she decided to stop in and visit a sick friend instead. I’m not sure why she couldn’t have told me this before hand, or why she bothered to call me to tell me she would be there in 15 – 20 minutes, when she wasn’t planning on arriving for another hour.
As for her cleaning, I had the same experience as a lot of previous reviewers. I could hear Ladonna on the phone while she was supposed to be cleaning, and she would also come over and engage me in conversation about things not relevant to cleaning at all. Then she would stand and talk to me instead of cleaning, or clean very slow while talking to me. I had a book in my hand and was trying to read — not giving off any indication that I wanted to talk, but I was repeatedly interrupted by Ladonna.
I wouldn’t have minded talking to her at all, except that in the end, she stayed 15 minutes longer than quoted, and I was charged an extra $ 10. If she hadn’t stopped to talk to me so much, she wouldn’t have had to stay longer than scheduled.
Overall, I found Ladonna to be unprofessional and purposely trying to waste time. The cleaning she and her other cleaner did was fine, but I would rather go with another cleaning service that behaved more professionally.

Not sure why my original review was removed however I’m becoming very skeptical about the results of Unilocal reviews. I hired this team to deep clean my house prior to my property manager showing it and they did a fantastic job. Good people. Dare you Unilocal to leave this posting up!

She was difficult to work with and talked too much. She told me how valuable her time was, then proceeded to talk on the phone in circles for 20 minutes telling me all about the other places she has cleaned in the area and all her other big jobs going on that week. She insists that you meet to go over the space together and point out areas that should be cleaned. I just wanted it all cleaned for move-​in purposes on my rental unit. She had no concept of what that meant. So we wasted another 30 minutes the day of the cleaning just discussing what they would do. They did not come equipped with good cleaning supplies, including no vacuum or mop so the floors were not cleaned. After she left, I ended up vacuuming and mopping the floors myself. She also kept saying she’s «not a detail person». What does that even mean, how can you be a cleaner and not provide detailed cleaning services? I liked the three women who actually did the cleaning, and I know they worked hard for multiple hours, but I also found it bizarre that one of the cleaners brought her DOG with her and held him while she cleaned one-​handed. Overall, these were very nice and I believe well-​intentioned people, but just not even close to what I was looking for in my move-​in cleaning service.

Ladonna & her crew cleaned for me today, they were amazing, prompt, effecient & would definitely recommend them to family & friends.

LaDonna’s was the fastest, most flexible, and most responsive of the half dozen cleaning companies that have worked on my properties over the years. On a single day’s notice, LaDonna pulled together a crew that quickly and thoroughly detailed one of my rental homes. The crew’s attention to detail was far superior to other cleaning services, and it tackled a wider array of tough cleaning problems than any of its competitors have in the past. Ladonna also worked closely with me to monitor the changing task list and work around the schedules of other contractors. The final phase of the cleaning, for example, was done on a Friday night.

Ladonna is the worst cleaner that I have ever hired. She did not even touch anything nor did vacuum! Unbelievable! I had to do all the work in front of her and I also had to re-​ask everything to her when I checked up the place. Total WASTE of MONEY, TIME and EMOTION! Do not hire her!

Not a good detail cleaner and yes she does admit that from the beginning. Especially on the floors. She does like to talk so be prepared. We also had an incident with our dogs and her thinking that they were underfed and mis-​treated. I wish I had read Unilocal before hiring her.

I highly recommend Ladonna. She arrived with such short notice and did an amazing job. I was able to get so much other stuff done as she cleaned around me and by time she was finished the place was empty and ready for my landlord! You were awesome!

Ladonna’s Cleaning Service has cleaned after parties I’ve held at my home. Not only is she an incredibly hard worker but her commitment to doing the right thing by her clients is amazing. She’s honest and takes great pride in being flexible. All of this on top of cleaning everything to a sparkling shine! I highly recommend her services!

I have never felt so ripped off!
I wanted to do a move-​in clean on my new rental home before moving all my stuff in. We moved cross-​country, so we had nothing when we got here except our luggage of clothes for a 4 day drive.
I had contacted Ladonna and several cleaning services ahead of time to try to schedule something, but it was incredibly difficult to schedule. Due to some things falling through, Ladonna was the best last-​minute resort. When trying to schedule with her, she was willing to come work late in the evening on short notice. That is the only plus (and what will deserve a star at all.)
We had some issues because she evidently thought I should have *some* cleaning supplies. Well, no. I did not bring my cleaning supplies with me in a car with kids and pets. Sorry. They did not make it onto the truck either as those are not allowed on moving trucks. One of the points was that she needed to have her own supplies.
She asked that I point out everything I wanted cleaned. Well, I wanted everything cleaned. I went around with blue tape, as she requested to note what I wanted done. Blue tape was everywhere.
When she got here she said something to the effect of «I’m good with the big things, not the details.» Well, the point of a move-​in clean is the details. Generally landlords get the big things done.
After I showed her around and talked about what I wanted done, she asked what I thought the job was worth. Based on an earlier experience, I gave an amount. It was obviously too high as she snatched it up.
She was full of advice, but I’d rather she spent the effort cleaning. Due to it being late after a cross-​country move, I took the kids to the last night in a hotel (remember, we had no furniture at this point.) My husband went back to pay Ladonna in cash. In the dim light of the late evening, everything looked okay — but certainly were not up to my standards. And as I went through the house in the following days, it was apparent she skipped a lot. I really felt like my money was misspent.

I hired Ladonna’s for a move-​out clean on a rental property. They were fast and affordable and scheduling was very convenient. I was very impressed with how the unit looked in the end! If your place needs a little sprucing up, give Ladonna’s a try! Their friendly service can’t be beat!

Recommended to the highest degree! We’ve been using Ladonna’s cleaning service for over a year and are consistently impressed! When searching for a house cleaner we interviewed many services. We chose Ladonna’s and we’ve never regretted it. She is incredibly hardworking, positive, reliable, trustworthy and happy! Not only does she leave our home fabulously clean, but she also fills our lives with a wonderful energy that you can get no where else. When have you ever met a house cleaner that brings a positive attitude to a task that most feel is boring and menial? I look forward to the days she comes to our place and I make sure I’m home just so we can chat!
