Lake Union Vision Clinic

First of all, I’m going to start by saying that the clinic looks clean and appealing when you walk in. I went In for my regular contact appointment (no glasses) the staff was very friendly and kept me updated until the day of my appointment. Dr Chow was excellent and friendly, he explained my vision health and didn’t make me feel rushed when I asked questions. At the end of the appointment, check out was fast and easy. I thought it was awesome that they laminate your prescription into a small, ID card so that it is easier to hold on to.

The staff like to drag their feet if you ask them to scan in your glasses prescription to a competitor optical shop. It took them almost an hour to get it to me after a series of attempts involving both fax and email. When asked what was going on that was taking so long to email, I received a reply that they were «still processing the email» fifteen minutes later. Do they think I am stupid?

Dr. Michael Chow and his staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They educate you on the health of your eyes and share with you the latest styles in frames, keeping you looking hip without trying to hard.

I tried Lake Union Vision Clinic because they were convenient for work and also accept Vision Service Plan. I also chose them because they had two other established clinics so I felt it would be an experienced team. I walked into a nice, modern office and was warmly greeted by the front staff. My exam was very interesting as they have all the latest equipment. For a small out of pocket price, you can elect to have a photo taken of the inside of your eye — so much better than being dialated! Plus the doctor (sorry I don’t know her name) will explain everything she sees in the picture-​it was so interesting. Once I established my prescription, I met with Pam, who is very patient and makes excellent suggestions based on your preferences — do you want to be funky or conservative? She definately knew what was classic and also trendy. Finally, I felt no pressure whatsoever to select a frame or spend a certain amount of money; however, be aware this is not Walmart; these are fairly priced, modern frames. I knew going in the clinic that the insurance only covers part of the glasses so I was prepared to chip in. I definately recommend giving them a visit!
