I went in to Dr. Jacobson’s office for a small growth on my face. I told her that it had been swabbed for staph previously, came back negative and had not responded to antibiotics. She prescribed antibiotics, swabbed for staph again and said that was what it was. The antibiotics did nothing and the lab tests revealed nothing. What’s worse was the note sent to me–«good news– your test came back negative!» But not any concern that it could be something else… Like Basal Cell Carcinoma– maybe? Like what it actually is! I found this out after going to another Dr. a few months later who immediately wanted to biopsy it. I am not surprised she had no idea what it was and wanted to get out of her appointment with me– I wasn’t spending thousands on cosmetic surgery. Her assistant could barely move her face. If you want a real dermatologist and not a plastic surgeon– don’t come here.
