Nothing to complain about on my first visit for a lunch with friends. Great special of the day, great service, great ambiance. The pulled pork sandwich was still good two days later, cold. Will definitely go back. Unusual wine by the glass selection. It was good, but a small glass, and for $ 9 I will probably stick to water next time.

After a fun meal at Fare Start we were gifted a certificate to LeCosho and finally got around to using it. The restaurant is below Harbor Steps and may even be considered part of Post Alley. Anyway you describe it’s location, delicious is what you’ll find inside. We arrived right about 7 pm. The restaurant itself isn’t very big which made it nice and the ambient noise appropriate. I’m sorry I can’t help more with the additional tips on bike parking and TV’s as I was just too busy enjoying myself in the food and conversation. While I’m sure you won’t find many children in this restaurant, we took a 3 year old with us. We were fortunate there was a table at the entrance that was partial booth/chairs and could tuck our toddler away. She did serve as a great greeter for those entering the restaurant after us. Noting we had the toddler with us, we ate our meal different than most. The menu has a little something fancy for everyone and while known for their pork dishes, we opted for steak and seafood. These choices didn’t disappoint. For starters we had the dungeness crab crustini. This ample appetizer featured a generous mound of fresh crab atop incredible crusty bread that was slightly smeared with an avocado sauce and then garnished with grapefruit. We also took this opportunity to get some side dishes so the tot didn’t have to wait too long. For our sides we enjoyed the vibrantly green brussel sprouts with hot pepper flakes as well as rainbow cauliflower. Both of these sides were melt in your mouth good. For our main course we had the New York steak that came with a wild mushroom, kale and fingerling potato ragu. I am not a fan of mushrooms. For the most part it’s a texture thing for me. These mushrooms on the other hand were very tasty. I accidentally got some on my fork and then realized afterwards but didn’t experience that texture issue I’ve had since a child. The steak ordered rare to medium rare was served perfectly. It was seasoned to perfection and was a generous cut. Our other entrée was black cod with root vegetables and a ramesco sauce. This dish was beautifully presented in a bowl making picking up the meal easier which to me is a nice touch. The flavors of this dish meshed really well and needless to say, while the portion was generous, there were no leftovers. Moving on to dessert, I’m drooling just thinking about it. Their dessert menu will make it hard to choose. This being said, while the portions were large, we opted to get 3 so we could taste several and take home with the leftovers were were already amassing. They offer a 3 scoop bowl of gelato with 2 different flavors. Since we were getting 2 other desserts we simply asked for one scoop, most of which was eaten by the tot and focused on the cake and pie. Cake and pie you ask? Why yes, we indulged. For the pie we went with the maracona almond with brown butter caramel and whipped cream. The pastry chef has hit a home run with this dish. It has a buttery, salty crust followed with the incredible texture of the almonds and then finished with the amazing flavor of the brown butter caramel. Are you drooling? For the cake we chose a pear and ginger cake. This too was topped with whipped cream. I’ll get back to the cake in a minute but this whipped cream is worth talking about. In all my years of indulging in whipped cream I have not come across one like this. If you didn’t know any better, just by looking at the dish served you would think this is a delicate scoop of ice cream perfectly shaped atop your pie and cake. It contains flecks of vanilla bean and is the stiffest/firmest whipped cream I’ve ever had/seen without being sweet. It’s a nice subtle flavor with an interesting(in a great way) texture. Now back to the aforementioned pear and ginger cake. This cake is moist and dense. A few bites will satisfy you so a little goes a long way unless you take it home and the teen finds it and well then, it’s all gone! It’s alright though because I know I’ll be back soon. So I covered the food but not the beverage menu or service. I must admit I am not one to enjoy an alcoholic beverage so I simply skipped looking at the menu. People all around me were however enjoying the wines and mixed drinks. At our table we enjoyed ginger beer and couldn’t have been happier unless it was from Seattle’s own Rachel’s Ginger Beer. The service on the other had was so pleasant that I hardly forgot to mention. Plates arrived, dishes disappeared, greetings were exchanged and all in all, it was just extremely pleasant. I didn’t feel rushed or forgotten about which to me means a terrific server. So will I go back? Absolutely. Will I order the same things or be adventurous with other items? Toss up because what I had was so good but that must mean there are even more items I’m missing out on. Maybe I need to bring a bigger party next time.

My sister and I recently celebrated a little girls weekend in Seattle and the concierge at our Hotel(Hotel 1000-INCREDIBLE) recommended this restaurant to us and made a reservation for us at 8:30 on a Sat. night. We were pleasantly surprised at how good it was. We each got a salad, and out of the whole experience, this was just a glorified, ranch and bacon salad with roasted tomatoes. It was good. But I was pretty hungry, so really, anything would have sufficed. We shared a pasta dish. It was a gnocchi, but made with semolina flour… and it was very tasty. The consistency of that pasta was divine. The sauce was rather reminiscent of a stroganoff-mushroomy and heavy on the pepper. We opted for the Marcona almond pie for desert, and I’ve never experienced a pie like that. Nutty. Rich. Very good, although my sister crunched on an almond shell towards the end. The service was ok. Our waiter was a little MIA, but made up for it in his suggestions. I will definitely be back to try their famous pork chop and grilled octopus. Cool atmosphere and fairly hip vibe without being too pretentious.

This review is overdue. Visiting home for the holiday, my family and I dined last minute at Lecosho on New Years Eve based on Unilocal reviews. We were lucky to get a table thanks to a reservation that never showed. The restaurant was modern and elegant with a rustic edge, tucked away from University Street along the Harbor Steps in downtown Seattle. The four of us shared delicious wine and each others meals which included blackened cod, pan-seared scallops, mussels, and a dish of clams and pork belly(mine) that were all satisfying and delectable. The restaurant did offer non seafood options, however who doesn’t want seafood in Seattle? The farm-to-table concept heightened the experience providing freshness and new tastes.

I had to write a review about this place. In short: PHENOMENAL. Service: I had called in last minute to see what their availability was like on a Saturday night, and they were very accommodating and ensured that they had a table ready for me by the time I arrived. I came in with my boyfriend and two of our friends, and immediately, we were seated and our server introduced himself. I unfortunately cannot remember his name, but he was an Asian American man with a great sense of humor and upbeat personality. He made great recommendations for us and described each of the dishes with flourish and really made us excited to try as much as possible. He checked on our table often(but not too often) and made sure we always had everything we needed. Food: My boyfriend and I had the pork chops(mine medium rare as it is supposed to be, and his medium), my friend Jax had the chicken and Ari had the scallops. We also ordered a side of the brussel sprouts. We each had a taste of each others’ dishes and LOVED everything! The pork chops sit on top of pancetta and squash… absolutely delicious. The pork chop was perfectly cooked(to me) and was juicy and tasty. The brussel sprouts had chili flakes and lemon — so GOOD. Nothing was overwhelmed with flavor but instead had a perfect balance. If I lived in Seattle, this place would definitely be at the top of my recommendations list. I loved everything about it and will definitely be back the next time I am in town.

A good lunch spot for the more adventurous diner not interested in choosing among the same 10 things that can be found anywhere in Seattle. The menu is not what I’d consider risky, but offers the right amount of variety at fair prices. Tables are scooted a bit close together, but you probably won’t find yourself raising your voice – the restaurant is surprisingly quiet for how densely it is packed for the lunchtime crowd. Lecosho seems to draw in the offsite business crowd, offering an option less stodgy than what one finds a few streets up. And, with that, the demographic tilts toward 25 – 35. Most offerings are top notch, but the seafood stew was a bit of a miss – it was more of a bisque, and the broth seemed to be an afterthought. That one hiccup doesn’t detract from this place’s lure: make a reservation(a must) and give it a try! Will return and recommend.

This is a long overdue Seattle Restaurant Week review. Lecocho had been recommended to me many times by both industry and civilian friends. I am always wary about restaurants in the true heart of downtown, for reasons of both hype and traffic. Don’t let either of those stop you from trying Lecosho. Their menu may read simply, but these are thoughtful dishes meant to use the best of the season. I started my meal with the salad. Not a typical choice for me, but the soft cooked egg and lightly dressed greens were perfect to set the mood. I was happy with the Scallops but the Pork Chop stole the show. Easily the best Pork Chop I’ve ever had, thick cut and smoky with perfect grill marks. It was truly perfection. The cocktails were great and the wine selection was varied and reasonable. And if I worked downtown I could see this becoming a frequent happy hour spot for me!

Wandered in here after a rec from Copperworks Distillery down the street. The happy hour menu was all of my favorite foods, I couldn’t try just one. We got the sardines, the clams, the spatzle and the house made sausage. Love the dark atmosphere! Everything was great portions and beyond amazing tasting. This is now one of my favorite places, I can’t wait to come back in one evening to try the dinner menu! Also, their staff is friendly and conversational, love, love, love this place!

The best pork belly ever… I think it was the best food I’ve ever eaten as a human that has lived for 20 years. Service was great. Place was nice. Nothing to complain about, which of course why I gave 5 stars. Pasta was awesome. Dessert was great too.

Great food, value and service. Brian was a great waiter with good recommendations. The cod was amazing, as were the mussels, cauliflower and even the simple olive/almond appetizer. Very unique recipes and offerings. Don’t fill up on the bread! We missed out on dessert.

Hold it ! This place is legit. After 3 bartenders recommended this place, we decided to give it a try. I’ve never tried octopus before, so I ordered the grilled octopus. It was so good !!! We went in for just that appetizer but I can only imagine that everything else is just as amazing. Great spot, a little loud but the ambiance is kinda sexy and upbeat. Great date night spot. Especially for all you tinder people out there

I haven’t tried their food so I’ll be sure to update my review after I do. But I love this place and can definitely see it becoming one of my favorite spots downtown. It’s tucked away halfway down the Harbor Steps and has a classy but casual atmosphere with all of the dark wood. The staff was great, very friendly and knowledgable about their product(thanks for the beer suggestions, Tommy!). They serve food until 1am and I noticed the place got pretty busy around midnight, even though it was a Monday evening. It would be a great place to go to grab a bite after a late show in the city!

When you’re visiting a new city, it’s a little hard to figure out what restaurants are worth eating at. Luckily Unilocal comes in handy! We were wandering around downtown, and most of the places in Pikes Market were closing soon. Being a Saturday evening, trying to get in somewhere good might be impossible. When Lecosho came up, we thought why not? Warm friendly greeting when we entered. She: The only thing I have right now since you don’t have a reservation are these tall tables by the bar. I didn’t mind since we were hungry. The bartender came by with menus and said he’d be back. No Malbecs on their wine list, but I ordered a cab-franc and it was really good. They have a pretty good wine selection and the prices vary with some priced on the high end. I ordered the grilled pork chop and the traveling partner ordered the New York steak. Both were grilled medium rare which kept the chops nice and juicy. Great ambiance! It was definitely an older crowd for the early dinner, but some of the cool and hip started to arrive… lol! My only complaint would be the loud obnoxious daughter of a rather loud family who sat at the table next to us. Swearing like a sailor they needed to be at a dive bar instead. Other than that, it was a great first meal in Seattle.

I lucked out when I visited Seattle, it was restaurant week and Lecosho was participating. Good service, the food service was a bit slow and it felt like the kitchen forgot about one of my courses during my dinner experience. Good chill atmosphere from the staff and the diners, maybe that’s just Seattle in general? Hah. Solid food, albeit nothing terribly memorable, but I might go back if I was nearby in the neighborhood.

Looking for a good place to eat after a long day of delayed flights. Chose this place based on the Unilocal reviews even though it seemed a bit more expensive than I wanted. Pleasantly surprised when they had a 3-course meal for $ 30, very reasonable price. Started with a salad, which was very good. Romaine lettuce with a lemon vinaigrette, egg and two pieces of toast. It was very good. I’m not a big fan of pork chops, but I selected that anyway, again based on the Unilocal reviews. Glad I did! It was one of the best pork chops I’ve had. Very juicy, with a nice root vegetable mixture underneath. For desert I had the chocolate tart which was also very nice. I asked the bartender for a dark beer recommendation. I don’t remember the name but the beer he recommended had all the flavour of a dark beer without being heavy. I liked it a lot. I’ll try to make it back here again before I head home at the end of the week.

First time visiting Seattle so I Unilocaled a couple places. Really looked forward to trying this place. Went in for a small early dinner on Friday night and sat at the bar. Excellent service provided by the bartender as he was quick to get me my drink. For food, he recommended that I try the Grilled Octopus and Dungeness Crab Crostini. The Grilled Octopus… I can see the potential but that night, it was so charred that I couldn’t eat any of it. The bartender was very sweet about taking it back and making it again, but he actually ended up coming back and was honest to tell me that they will not serve the octopus for the evening because it is precooked and charred for the dish, but the precooking was overdone. Definitely welcomed his honesty and just settled for the Dungeness Crab Crostini, which was good. They definitely didn’t skimp out on the crab but I felt that it was a bit under seasoned. Loved the service but can’t say I was a fan of the food.

This was a perfect meal before we went to see Wicked. Not too heavy, not too pricey. This restaurant was tucked away nearby Pike Place Market — they have a nice outdoor seating area. We were seated by the windows and from there, you can see some parts of the water, the wheel and i99. We got a small plate of grilled octopus to try. I decided to try the pork chops after reading ravishing reviews about them and they lived up to it! It was simply delicious! The bf got the duck risotto but said he like the pork chops more. So… get the pork chops if you’re here!

The food is delicious, the prices are reasonable and the location is great. While walking the area, I took the many steps in The Harbor and stumbled across this place. I opted to sit outdoors even at 9p because it was still light out and I thought it would be a great way to enjoy the great weather and fresh air. Upon entering, I did not see a hostess in sight so I glanced around to catch someone’s attention to get the lay of the land. Once I was seated with a menu, I was able to quickly identify my meal — the house green salad and halibut. I also selected a glass of rose(a Washington wine) with my meal. The food was phenomenal. I LOVED it. My bill was a different story. I received it and in reviewing it I noticed I was charged for an extra drink. After the bill was delivered, my server was MIA. I ended up getting up, walking inside and getting it adjusted. When I received the new bill hand delivered by my server, I was surprised that an apology was not given. Thus, the reason I deducted a star. It’s a great place but please check your bill! The halibut, salad and drink was $ 47 before gratuity.

We had dinner before seeing the symphony at Benaroya and thank goodness we were a bit early. The staff was super friendly and we liked her a lot. She did not talk me out of the pork chop, which is always a great thing. It’s super moist, flavorful and consistently done well. The NY steak was solid, but sort of paled in comparison. We grabbed the last bottle of Guardian and had a phenomenal time. We didn’t get a chance to try dessert but Lecosho has to be on list to do more than just once a year.

Ok I gave this place a 3 but I’m gonna have to give each thing here different ratings since it was such a mixed experience. Friends and I came here for SRW. Had reservations for 7:30 and were promptly seated. Service: 2 stars. They took FOREVER. Although everyone was really nice they took a pretty long time between each course and took us awhile to get someone’s attention. My friends mad hatch chicken came out and was still red and bloody, they took it back w/no hesitation and quickly got it back out. Don’t know if they apologized. Food: 4 stars for the porkchop on SRW menu. Most of us ordered this and it was a gigantic portion. I finished it :) it was cooked to the perfect temp and juicy. Would have liked some more sauce to dip the pork chop in but it wasn’t dry at all! Pancetta and potatoes in the dish were delish! Our«charcuterie» plate was ridiculously stupid. 1 star for this. They must have ran out of ingredients since I read another persons review and we did NOT get this. We had a tiny bit of arugula, and 4 thin slices of «meat» that tasted like high end jerky. Some thick slices of tomato and balsamic vinegar. This is NOT charcuterie. It was like a pathetic salad. We didn’t get the pickled veggies or mustard sauce that was listed on their menu. Dessert: 2 stars. Low ratings BC they ran out of the maple pot dessert that we all wanted. So I opted for the lemon cake with berries and cream. Cake was dry but it wasn’t bad. I tasted the maple pot cream dessert and it was tasty but definitely sweet. All in all, it was an average experience. Didn’t blow my socks off or anything but I wouldn’t cross it off my list. It was a nice space/ambience and pork chop was good. Maybe I’ll give it another chance next time w/HH or something.

I am thoroughly impressed with just how perfect their pork chop is. It’s a MUST! Came here for Seattle Restaurant Week but I seriously regret not eating here prior to this week. I had the charcuterie, pork chop, and polenta cake with berries. Each dish was awesome. The house salad looked really good, too. I’m a sucker for anything with a soft cooked egg, but I couldn’t pass up house-cured meats. The charcuterie came with 2 baguette crisps, 4 pieces of meat sprinkled with some egg, and this delicious spiral pickled veggie. I love cured meat, so I thought it was great. The saltiness of the meat was balanced very well with the pickled veggie. But man, the pork chop stole my heart. They cook it «just past medium rare» which is PERFECTION. The pork chop was so tender and juicy. The pickled veggies with pancetta and potatoes were also very tasty. I also had a bite of the roasted chicken, which was also delicious as well. As for dessert, I opted for the polenta cake after seeing other people order it. I definitely did not regret it. My friends thought the maple pot de crème was great. I had a bite and it was just a little too sweet for me. Oh, if this is your first time coming here, Google Maps might make you drive down Post Alley, which I don’t think is possible… Or at least not to my knowledge. I ended up parking at Pike Place and walked quite a bit. So when you come and try the pork chop for yourself, park around 1st ave and University! I am most definitely coming back for lunch because I need the porchetta sandwich in my life.

Birthday deserves the«best burger in downtown». +2 For the food +1/-1 For the atmosphere — natural light comes in from most of the sides, but a little dim. It would be perfect on a sunny day. The décor is very simple, dark wood +1 For the music — I always pay attention to the music playing in the background, great selection +1 For the service Appetizers: None Main entrée: Painted Hills Burger with Bacon Beverages: Just agua, had to go back to work The ciabatta bread was soft enough to easily take a bite, but with enough pockets to support the weighty goodness of the patty. The patty was not overly-handled with a noticeable fat to meat ratio, the juiciness was overwhelming in the best way possible. The onions and pickles on the side brought all the flavors together: the creaminess of the cheese, the tartness of the onions/pickles, the earthy bun, the warmth seasoning of the beef patty. I was a tad miffed there were no fries, a salad or soup as a side. However, HOWEVER, I can see why. Fries would simply be too heavy. The evenly coated salad with toasted pepitas was the fresh break I needed in between bites. Each time I had a bite of my salad and then the burger, it was like I was experiencing the burger all over again.
