Sign says $ 4 beer anytime– it really is $ 4 flat. No loose change needed. It’s located in a convenient spot near the Pike’s Place. Serving coffee and what-nots. It’s got knick-knacks the eyes could enjoy and take in. If you’re looking for a little spot to just chill and take a drinking break, I’d suggest here. It’s a few steps down from Pihorsky’s and the first Starbucks.

Nice place to sit down and have a snack and a coffee while visiting PPM. Delicious pastries and sandwiches. Great coffee. Friendly staff.

Located in the middle of the market. The shop is filled with local art and jewelry from artists. Their espresso is a darker roast(not my favorite) but my caramel latte didn’t taste much like caramel even after 3 splenda.

The first individual café I went to after arriving in Seattle, and it definitely didn’t disappoint. This is a cute place with nice service. Its coffee is of high quality and very worth its price. Also located in a perfect spot, as it’s right next to the pike place market! I took photos of the original starbucks and came to Local Color without second thoughts! haha I mean, why visit a chain café when there are a lot better options?

My favorite place to sit down and have a coffee in a relaxing environment. I love the owner’s and the service is very friendly. My favorite part is when they host Local Art Showing’s. My friend’s and I often go to support and enjoy local Art, have wine and appetizers and listen to awesome music.

Just had the most horrific customer experience here, after pointing out that the posted price of an item was less than what the register rang up. After me explaining the price difference, the person behind the counter became emotional and upset, and asked me to leave. Not even the manager seemed to be phased by her employee’s incredibly unprofessional experience. This was probably one of the worst customer experiences of my life! Coffee is decent, but beware of moody staff.

Very friendly staff. Great vibe with local art on all the walls. The owners are in store to interact with customers. I like supporting local businesses. Good coffee with lots of variety.

Scrumptious, hearty breakfast items like sausage and egg sandwich or burrito, paired with a large latte made to order for about $ 10; located near the entrance point of pike market place this is the only place worth your $ for breakfast and coffee consumption. The place is draped in local art that are conveniently for sale, and that’s including more affordable prints etc. Has a back lounge area with comfy couches and a large coffee table. For reasons unbeknownst to me this place isn’t that crowded. Excellent, yummy breakfast items + handcrafted lattes + local art in a chill atmosphere. I highly recommend you start your day at the market here. You can thank me later. 5 stars.

A must for the local or the traveler. Fine corner location. Great view of the market and sound. Their art display rotates. I must say the show they have now is amazing. I inquired about the art. I was pleasantly greeted by the owner. I myself an artist will be submitting for a show. Support Local Color

Grab a hotdog at taxi dogs then come here for a beer! I came across this place after having a delicious hotdog at taxi dog(yay taxi you get free advertising in my review, thank me later) and I wanted a nice cold beer. I saw a sign that said– ALLBEERSALWAYS4BUCKS. I decided to check it out bc I kept seeing people walk in and out with yummy beers and scones. The place is not that spacious but the funky art and mirrors as well as the cool lounge area and tables made this place seem fun. There is s hipster vibe to it but I saw older people in there as well as some who are a bit younger. Than 21. I’m talking 10 year olds -.- This place not only serves beer but all this coffee and tea. I can understand moms wanting to come in with their kids and enjoy a cup of coffee which their kids run and jump in the lounge area but I personally would leave the kids at home. I liked the adult vibe it gave but the kids running around just killed the mood a little and I felt awkward drinking beer in front of the kids who were staring at me and asking random people -” what’re you drinking?” It’s awkward bc you don’t want to say it’s beer but you don’t want to ignore the child either. Why even answer at all and put us in an awkward situation?! Keep the kids at home moms.

Vienna Latte! Yes! COFFEEQUALITY: Finally something not overwhelmingly strong, but still good good, light, velvety. It’s not as strong as many of the coffees around Seattle, so if you want a latte that’s relatively mild and less earthy, Local Color provides just that.

Let’s start by saying I hate Starbucks. It’s never consistent, and overpriced crap. That being said, local color is an excellent, cozy coffee shop to visit. Great hot and cold drinks, even beer I think. But I come here for the coffee every visit. The staff is cool, comfy furniture in the back, tables to people watch close to the front. Walk past the Starbucks minions and get a real cup of all and anything caffeinated at local color!

I don’t think I’ve ever given a bad review, but this place has the worst Cuban sandwich I’ve ever had! No flavor! Very skimpy for the price! So disappointing!!!

I ordered a London fog latte and it was delicious. All the ratios were correct and I was so happy to see this on the menu because few coffee shops make this! The shop also has a lot of character because it sells local artwork. The ambience is very warm and friendly. I definitely would come back!

Local color is in the heart of Pike Place Market sprinkled between all the little shops. It’s a huge space that’s part art gallery, part coffee shop. They represent great local artists and make a mean cup of joe. Couches are pretty comfy. You should probably stay a while.

In the veritable universal center of coffee, I found myself coming back here again and again, and I think I can explain why… The owner(who works the counter most days) is so sweet, so welcoming, and more than happy to talk you through all things coffee. She and the team have done a great job with the interior of the space, featuring some very cool pieces from local artists. But really, my five star review focuses on their Café Cubano. They take raw organic sugar and pack it on top of the ground espresso in the espresso pressure cup thingy. It brings to life an entirely different taste and texture. Espresso that has just a touch of sweetness – a perfect level that you couldn’t achieve by adding the sugar after-market. I didn’t get a chance to try the food — but everyone seemed quite pleased with that they were eating. Hope to be back soon!

My husband was talking about the chai tea latte for a year and a half before we came back to Seattle, and you best believe we were here before even checking in our hotel. Perched on some stools, flipping through art prints and a local paper, siping on some beverages de amazeballs. In his defense the chai tea latte is exceptionally heavenly. Creamy, cinnamon-y, not spicy like most chai’s, and just the perfect amount of sweetness(not like the disgusting syrupy crap they have at Starbucks). Seasonal hot apple cider is also magnificent. This is just a cool place. Wish they were open later.

I order the aztec mocha and it was delicious!!! Perfect cup of mocha with cayenne pepper, cinnamon and froth on top. Wish there was a place that serve this closer to me. Also, this place serve beer and wine all day for $ 4. Its happy hour all day! Cool little spot for a drink if u dont want to wait at starbucks. Haha

Oh man! The Aztec is perhaps the best flavored coffee that I’ve ever had in my life-mocha and a little spice– it was perfect! It smelled and tasted like Fall. Granted, I drank it in the summer, but, the whole time, I was pretending that it was October. If I were a local, I’d make this a regular stop. There, of course, is lots of traffic being in Pike Place Market, but the line is waaaaaay shorter than Starbucks! And c’mon, you really can get Starbucks anywhere. I’m telling you, come here instead– beat the line, look at some lovely artwork, and enjoy a delicious drink!
