I would strongly advise against being a foster parent for Lutheran Community Services.
I fostered for them for almost 6 years, and although I came into contact with multiple social workers that were dedicated and really did care, when we were in need of assistance, the agency completely failed us and our beloved foster child.
Without getting into specifics, this agency as a whole, and this office in specific, seems more concerned about CYA policies than about doing what is really right for the children entrusted in their care.
This is truly a shame, because these refugee children need champions, not bureaucrats who care more about their own careers than about the children they purport to want to help.
