I got this CSA during the summer of 2013. In general, the quality of the food was very delicious and fresh. I hate to give an average review to a farm that is clearly doing a wonderful job urban gardening and offering a somewhat unique CSA, but I wasn’t super impressed. My main complaint with the CSA is the somewhat disorganized manner that it operated. I wished the email about whether or not there would be a CSA and what it contained would have come at least the day of the CSA. Usually it came the day after we picked it up. It would have been easier to plan ahead. Second, the website advertised flowers, lots of hearty vegetables, and more variety in the CSA. I totally understand that part of buying into a CSA is being okay with eating whatever is available, but I do wish I knew more of what to expect each week, maybe with an email about what to expect the following week. Only one week had tomatoes in it, and there were never flowers, so I didn’t feel like I got a very high value for my money, with mostly lettuce and kale in the box each week.
