I had a washing machine develop a slow leak from the bottom. I called Mark and he spent a fair amount of time talking through possible causes. Ultimately he advised replacing the machine based on it’s age (15 years). The fact that he spent so much time with me addressing my situation without trying to make a sale for a service call, plus the fact that he received no financial incentive for doing so, speaks volumes about his integrity. I’ve added him to my contact list and he’ll be the first one I call for any future appliance issues.

Mark is great! This is the first time I used him, and absolutely would call him again. He was able to come within hours of my phone call, and had asked me some questions beforehand, so he knew what he was troubleshooting. He was sweet, professional, thorough, nice to my dog :-) and left the area clean. My oven is working well now, and he stayed long enough to make sure it really was working. He gave me some extra tips about what to look out for in my appliances, and his price was completely reasonable. Great guy.

Mark was wonderful. He was very responsive (we immediately made an appointment), showed up as promised, and had accurately diagnosed my dryer problem. He was pleasant, clean, fast and totally knowledgeable about the repairs. Yippee, a great appliance service!

Still very happy with Mark. Having trouble with the dishwasher again. Mark has been kind enough to talk to me THREE times on the phone basically doing a diagnostic. He thinks it’s the motor and that, if so, it wouldn’t make sense for him to come out, because the fix would be to get a new motor and have someone else install it, which would run $ 600+tax. Might as well get a new dishwasher in that case, he said. I love folks who will tell you up front that they really aren’t the right person for the job… whereas a lot of other people wouldn’t even bother to diagnose and would come out and charge the service fee and THEN give the information (which they might have already known about!). I told Mark I would definitely use him if the new dishwasher ever had issues (which of course I hope it doesn’t). Mark is definitely worth the wait. Call him first.

The freezer on the GE fridge was making loud fan noise. I was trying to fix it/​have preventive maintenance done before I turned my Queen Anne resident into a rental property. I searched on Unilocal for appliance repair with the most review and I found Mark.
All I can say is AMAZING!
Knowledgeable. Reasonable priced. Great customer service. Mark do have «100» 5 stars reviews, that tells something.
I have deal with other appliance repairmen before for our Sand Point and Redmond rental properties. But Mark was by far the BEST. He took the time to try to understand the situation on the phone. He came out to the job and knowing exactly what need done with no time wasted. He was extremely reasonable with his pricing and did not try to charge me for an arm or a leg. After he finished with the fridge, he also looked at my dish washer for me at my request. He gave me a free dish washer tray roller to help ensure my washer tray function properly.
Maybe all repairmen can do the job, but the price and the customer service definitely set him apart from the rest. Mark is just a nice person and I will request for his help again (well he can be quite busy though).

It’s all been said before in prior reviews, but I’m throwing my two cents worth in just the same. Mark is amazing. He took the time to walk me through my issue on the phone and his suggestion solved my problem. My Bosch dishwasher is now running perfectly again, and with no service call. I can’t say enough good things about him. Thank you Mark! Highly recommend.

Had a Bosch dishwasher than needed an intake valve replaced. Mark was incredibly helpful on the phone and made sure the repair was needed before coming to do the work. Dishwasher works great so far.

Mark is my guardian angel (of appliance repair anyway). I’m a mother of two, and my young girls happen to produce a ton of laundry. My dryer had been out for over a week, and I’d received nothing but the run around, and a no show from the other guys. Called Mark exasperated and in desperation, and even though he doesn’t normally work on Samsung dryers, he correctly diagnosed a broken belt over the phone, and came out after hours on a Friday to replace it! Not only did he fix my dryer, but also fixed the vent that was leaking. To top it all off, he was super patient and very kind with my girls who insisted on standing in his way, and watching his every move. I am so relieved that my clothes will now dry (Seattle rain tends to put a damper on the line dry method). This guy is worth every penny! (and also happens to be cheaper than the competition). Cannot recommend him more! Mark is this Mom’s appliance hero.

I’m always dubious of 100% five-​star reviews, but called when my washing machine stopped working. He diagnosed the problem over the phone, figured out what went wrong, and gave me step-​by-​step instructions on how to fix it in about five minutes. I know who I’m going to call when I actually have a problem that needs a service tech, because anyone who will take that kind of time with no promise of payment is golden in my book.

With Unilocal reviews like these, calling Mark was a no-​brainer!
Our fridge’s filtered water dispenser was no longer working. Water was clearly being supplied to the fridge because the ice maker still worked. Called Mark and he diagnosed the problem over the phone and suggested a solution for free: the water dispenser line was likely just frozen, and he recommended shutting off the power to the fridge for 2 days. I’m sure many other appliance repair folks would’ve charged us to come out to the site and diagnose the problem. We haven’t tried his solution yet (too much foodstuffs in there at the moment), but I’ll be sure to call Mark again if his suggestion fails!

Our washer broke so I asked a friend if they knew anyone who could fix it. They recommended Mark. That same day our fridge also broke. Mark came over right away and fixed it for less than he had quoted it.

I called Mark about washing machine and refrigerator issues. He had me send text him pictures of my appliances so he could see if he could help, then called me back promptly to discuss my issues. He walked me thought some self-​help troubleshooting to help me better diagnose the issues and gave me estimates for his services. He even advised me against having him do some of the things I thought I needed! He saved me money and time! I can tell he’s an honest business person who knows what he’s doing and he will be getting all of my repair business in the future. Thanks, Mark!

I called Mark to see if he worked on LG dryers — he informed me that he didn’t but he led me through the process over the phone and I’m back up and running! He even called me back to lead me through the final steps. Amazing service!

Mark saved our Passover Seder! My gas oven stopped working last night and we have a big Seder planned for Saturday evening which involves much cooking in the next few days. Called Mark early this morning and he was able to come late this afternoon, he replaced the igniter and now I can prepare all the delicious food I’ve planned for the Seder! And even the dog liked him, he is usually very protective but with Mark, best friends! Yay for Mark!

Mark is awesome. I can’t recommend him highly enough. I called him because our washing machine stopped spinning. He gave me instructions on how to narrow down a possible cause and he guessed what that problem was over the phone. It worked out that he was able to come out a few hours later. He gave me one quote for the service visit and another for the parts and labor. He said if the fix didn’t work he would only charge me for the visit and not the labor. The price was exactly what he said it would be and he’s very courteous and pleasant. You can trust him.

Cannot say enough good things about Mark! Found out just before a long holiday weekend that our washer was making a horrible grinding noise. Called a couple different places with little to no luck. Mark called me back right after receiving my message and said he’d try to fit me in on Saturday, after his other appointments. Within 24 hours, my washer is working better than ever (he found another small, easily fixable thing wrong when he came). Mark was courteous and easy to work with. He explained everything he was doing, why my washer would work better when he was done, ad how to do some easy upkeep of my own. His rates are also incredibly reasonable. After some preliminary estimates from other places (whose servicemen couldn’t make it for 4 more days), I think I saved about $ 100.

Mark is a great repairman — he correctly diagnosed the problem with my refrigerator over the phone, he showed up to repair it when he said he would, he took great care to protect my wood floors as he made the repair.
Also, at my request he fixed the door handle and leveled my refrigerator — several things done in one visit — AND he is very nice. He charged a very fair price for the work done. Very happy to recommend him to anyone for appliance repair.

I never thought fridges could even break. So I had no idea what to expect when the huge side by side door fridge in my new apartment wouldn’t start up.
I called approximately 4 or 5 different appliance repair stores including Sears. Most couldn’t make it to my home for days and others just didn’t service my brand.
Finally I spoke to Mark and he immediately agreed to come to my home to look at it. He was very considerate about my hardwood floor and laid down a rag before putting any tools or moving the fridge around. Additionally he had to work pretty hard to get my fridge around a tight corner to look at its backside. And since he had predicted what the problem might have been he had the right part to replace.
My fridge was up and running within half an hour of his visit. He put everything right back as he found it. And also gave me some great tips on how extend the life of my kitchen appliances.
What I liked best was that he was very upfront about the costs and gave me an estimate before doing anything with the fridge. I paid ~$ 200 for everything and I am really happy I didn’t have to purchase a new fridge! For any future appliance repairs I’ll be sure to call Mark Wiseman again!
