Mel R’s Super Fantastic 30th Birthday Party at the Rendezvous

Rarely would I ever even think of reviewing something like a gathering. But this was more than that.
While most groups larger than five or six people get me thinking violent destructive thoughts, I was surprised to find myself talking to some of the nicest people I’ve ever met.
I was so happy to finally met Bernie and Jaz. You girls are wonderful people. And I adored getting to catch up with you Maria. You are totally my icon on child rearing and keeping yourself happy. And of course my honey, Mary. I think you have the one of the biggest hearts in the Seattle area. San Fran must be missing you.
And then there was the birthday girl, Mel. Beautiful, witty, and genuine. A rare combination. Thank you so much for giving everyone the present of your company and hospitality. Truly you are one of a kind.
I hope you like the dildo.

the grotto, downstairs at the rendezvous, could not have been a more perfect place for mel’s party!
the room: dark red– one of mel’s favorite colors… the red velvet couches with matching pillows… dark… candlelight… PERFECT!!!
the bartender (s): we had our own and didn’t have to leave the party to grab a beverage… and they poured some pretty fabulous drinks!!! felt like «the elite party part 2»
the yummies: cupcakes!!! deviled eggs!!! sushi!!! shrimp!!! yummy yummy in our tummies :)
the atmosphere: put 40+ Unilocalers in a room and you’ve got yourself some atmosphere bitches!!!
this was such a success and from the bottom of my heart i thank you all so very much for coming and for helping make mel’s 30^th birthday one we will never ever forget!
the Unilocal community is the sole reason this was the best party ever! you guys rock! :)

Anyone that gives this less than five stars should be beat down with a sock full of nickels*. It was just that good of a time.
On a happier note, Mel definitely had the time of her life! I got to meet tons of awesome, funny, intelligent and DRUNK (yup, all caps, I went there) Unilocalers that I had wanted to meet at the Elite event.
Thanks to Mel for providing the place, the food and the crowd. Thanks to Bernie for all her work. Best Birthday Party Ever.

Now THAT was a great party! Thanks and congrats (or condolences) to Mel as we celebrated the passing of her twenties. Great job putting this together, from the location, to the dedicated bar and staff, the food, the music, the singing and toasts; well done.

I haven’t had this much fun on a school night in some time.
Delicious deviled eggs made by the birthday girl herself sated my appetite, and drinks aplenty all around kept the social machine well lubricated. Farting noises through the megaphone were just icing on the cake.

I figured I’d save my 100^th review for something special!
Props to Bernie and all the other people who put this together for Mel! The party was great! Everyone looked fab in their funeral attire — Mel especially!
I got a blister walking there from Cap Hill, my head hurts like a mo fo and I spent way too much money — but it was totally, totally worth it!

You just knew this was going to be the shit. And it was.
Mel’s Bday + Grotto + Unilocalers = 1000 stars.

Had so much fun… as always, hanging out with the Unilocalers.
Met some new faces.
Everyone looked FABULOUS in their funeral attire.
