WARNING: Feces and Needle Littered!
I want to like the course, but I was warned that it is gross and dirty with garbage and it is largely true. I didn’t mind too much the doubling of holes and goals, but it is a maze without clear signage at places. Take a photo of the map at hole #1 or good luck finding any of the holes.
The worst part is the disrespect that seems to linger around the park.
E.g., #1 today on the 6^th hole I discovered a pile of diarrhea /​feces. I can only guess how it got there.
E.g., #2 today on the 13^th hole, I lost my driver in the bushes on the left side of the fairway. I searched around in the bushes on the hill side, among the typical broken beer glasses and cans for the course. I went up the hill from the fairway. Up to the busy Northgate Way. I felt kind of judged by the people driving by as I bushwhacked looking for my driver /​disc. I went back through the bushes towards the fairway, only to find a syringe without a cap lying in the dirt at the base of a tree. I look up and see my disc is stuck in the tree, surrounded by holly (sharp), out of reach, and that there are at least three other syringes littering the bushes and loose dirt and hillside around the site. Needless of day, I spent about 20 minutes throwing things (sticks, stones, and logs) into the tree to free my disc, but with no avail. I doubt if it had come out it would have been accessible given the holly bushes and hiding syringes. Absolutely gross and dangerous!!!
I expected better!!!

Will not be back to this course unless there have been changes to the course itself. Baskets are hard to find and some couldn’t be found after walking around. It’s a very technical course, so if you like that then this will be better suited for you.

Pros: Convenient to access
Cons: (1) Consistently long waits to start a hole (2) whiny behavior seems to be the norm amongst the clientele. If you should happen to accidently throw your disc off target remotely near another group, expect a holier-​than-​thou lecture and a bad attitude (yelling «fore» doesn’t seem to help) (3) holes are bunched extremely close together and often overlapping, good luck not earning some of #2’s bad attitude (4) high degree of randomness in results, many holes have trees and other prominent obstacles that are avoided more by luck than skill. And yes, it’s covered in garbage, as the other reviews indicate.
Once you play any other course, you’ll find it difficult to return to this pit.

Can get very busy during the day. Watch out for flying disc…

I’ve been playing disc golf for two years now, and this park was my first.
First thing you should know; It’s in the middle of the city. This means instead of a full 18 holes, you have 9 holes, with alternate tees and/​or pins for the «back 9».
Second thing you should know; It’s in the middle of the city. Everyone, EVERYONE nearby thinks they should go play on a sunny afternoon. A 9 hole course DOES NOT fit every person in this city who owns a disc.
Third; It’s fucking scary! Hole six you throw down a hill. In order to get to hole seven, you have to walk BACK UP the hill– that the next group of people is already throwing down.
Nobody here seems to exercise course etiquette and leaves random trash/​beer bottles everywhere. People literally come up to you to beg for smokes/​snacks.
And for some reason, people feel it’s okay to start playing the hole you’re currently in the middle of playing, which means you are having discs thrown AT you at the same time you’re trying to throw into the pin. So so so not okay.
If you manage to be the only person playing the hole, you will have to dodge discs from the other holes that literally overlap the hole you’re throwing.
I never ever ever recommend going here on ⁴⁄₂₀.
If you do decide to play here, I would advise a football helmet for protection. Never bring children in strollers. (Yes, I frequently bring my daughter when I play– EVERY other course is safe!)
I love disc golf, but I’m concerned for my life/​safety when I’m here. Truly terrifying.

This is a great disc golf course in Seattle. I will tell you why. This is a very short and technical course. Beginners have a shorter distance to the basket and can concentrate on the technical aspect without throwing hard for a long drive as it is easy to do with an open course such as Lakewood. Experts have fun with the technical aspects of the short course. It’s a win — win.
Yes, the last nine can be a challenge but that is what makes a course interesting and a good time. The trash in the park sucks, I use the standard of what I take can in, I take out.

The park does suffer from some funding issues and I wish people wouldn’t leave beer bottles around. It is however a nice little place nearby where I can have a little fun and enjoy the challenge of fighting the over growth.

One of my least favorite disc golf courses in Seattle. always crowded, and not really a full 18. Always full trash everywhere. I am not really sure if the city just dosen’t care about this park or what?
I think they should almost remove some baskets to open the space up some more. or at least mark the course better. I can always seem to find nine holes, but then it gets fuzzy.

also known as ‘North park’, this place is a triangle of landwith barely room enough for this course, yet somehow it works. Alternate teepads are the ‘back 9′ and some (4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 13, 14, 16, and 18) have their own baskets too. very technical, not good for beginners
