I love this place. Im a beginner and EVERYONE was super knowledgeable and willing to help me with all my questions. Nice and clean. Well organized. I love it!!!

I have been to all the greenhouses in the area. This is my favorite by a big margin. I just prefer it at a heart and gut level. The staff are mellow and smart. The cat is awesome. It smells right. They have the plants you originally were looking for, and a whole bunch of more interesting and unique ones, so you leave really inspired.
If you are a plant nerd, this is the spot.

I grew up with this greenhouse located only a few blocks from where I live, and I love it! Still, I can’t believe I never stopped in as a child back in the 70’s/80’s/90’s/et al, not until last year. Yes, I really got into gardening in a big way these last couple of years, and Minters was the place to go. Mr. Chavez in particular was a HUGE help. With his advice (he only had to look at pics on my iphone) I bought and planted two moon bay nandinas, a monkey puzzle tree, a banana tree, legendary roses, and several other varieties of plant and they are blooming nicely. It’s been a true joy! My family even signed up for their annual «wreath making» class and it was a memorable experience we will never forget. :)

Now that plantin’ season is here, we have found ourselves becoming fixtures at Minter’s Earlington Greenhouse & Nursery. They have a great selection of good quality plants at reasonable prices.
Agree with comments about knowledgeable and helpful staff to be found here.
Agree with comments that, even in the off-​season this is a great place to come. (Because, really, what is more lovely on a cool winter day then strolling a warm greenhouse full of colorful plants and fragrant foliage?)
I’ll definitely be returning soon. And often.

Awesome place. I find it impossible to drive by without stopping in. They have a huge variety of plants (by my standards, at least), friendly and helpful staff, and a good atmosphere. I always end up getting more plants and supplies and more interesting plants than I would have expected, and my yard is happier for it. I’ve been able to find plenty of varieties of ferns (my favorite) and some native plants. I don’t have the light to support them, but they also have a ton of neat indoor plants. But what really sets them apart is the staff. Happy plant shopping!

I love this nursery. Very knowledgeable stuff and great selection. My interests switch between flowers, fruiting trees and veggies and these guys have it all. A gem of the neighborhood for sure. I would recommend you visit them regardless of where you are located, definitely worth the drive.
The prices are reasonable, much more affordable than Swansons Nursery.

This place is AWESOME! Who would’ve known I actually get excited to come here!!! I don’t live in Renton and drive all the way from Federal Way just to come here. The staff is great and very friendly. They take the time to answer your questions and that’s great for me since I don’t have a very good green thumb! However, thanks to all their friendly advice I am on my way to becoming an expert gardner. Great selection that you cannot find at your local Home Depot stores! Paul is great and I enjoy talking to him and gaining more advice! Ed and ALL the staff there are so pleasant to work with. Best nursery ever with a great selection!

I appreciate the knowledge at this nursery. These guys know their stuff about inside and outside plants including seeds/​starts for a vegetable garden. When to grow and how to grow. Best light and timing on when to plant. How and when to divide. So on and so on.
They also offer a great service for free (so far anyway) (I only paid for the new ceramic pot) ~ they’ll help you transplant your house plants to the appropriate size pot and provide improved soil. I brought in my 19-​year old hoya ~ it’s improved 100%. They did an excellent job
They’re not the least expensive nursery in the area, but I like supporting this local small business.

Minter’s is my go-​to authority for garden questions and also for great nursery stock. While prices are not as low as Home Depot, the quality of stock is much higher, and the knowledge and passion for gardening displayed by the entire staff is priceless. Minter’s is THE PLACE in probably the entire Puget Sound to get your tomato starts. They have 100+ varieties, all selected to do well in our cool climate, and they know everything about each variety. Last year we selected 8 plants, and on the way out, the owner put a box of Lime on our cart and told us that we must purchase lime and add it to the soil if we want sweet tomatoes. We followed his advice, and had a great tomato season last year even though most of the rest of my gardening friends did not have our luck. The owner has a great sense of humor, and the entire staff is really pleasant– we love shopping at Minter’s.

We really recommend these folks — we use Minter’s Earlington for all of our indoor plant and outdoor garden needs. These folks are exceptionally helpful. Their selection is plentiful. I don’t have a green thumb and these folks have steered me in the right direction every time. They have recommended exactly the right plants for the space — have helped me identify problems to help plants flourish… We’ve been going to them for many years — convenient South end location but worth the trip from wherever you are. I love their personal touch — they make me feel very welcome every time.

Really one of the BEST nurseries in the south end. We have been coming here for years and just love them to pieces. We were turned onto Minters by my MIL who is an accomplished gardener and has been a loyal customer since forever. I’ve walked in with clippings of plants I like but don’t know what they are and their expert staff will just rattle off the name right off the top of their head then show you in their book all the different varieties and what ones they can special order. Amazing selection of a full range of plants, trees and shrubs for all seasons and expert advice, helpful and friendly staff and finally, some of the best prices around. They always have unusual plants you won’t find anywhere else and an amazing selection of collectors species for the experienced gardener. I love this place and am always thrilled with the unique and well cared for finds I bring home. It’s worth the time to find this little jewel of a green house, you won’t want to shop anywhere else after shopping here!
