I’ve been here a couple times and I really wish I could make myself like the place better. The inside is super cute and I want to sit there for hours! The drinks are pretty reasonable, too. If you’re seated in one of the bar tables, they’re adjacent to booths that seat about six and face you directly. Each time I’ve been there, the booths have been filled with a bunch of woo-girls… so loud. Then there’s the food. I really wanted to like it. I just can’t. The guacamole isn’t great. Chipotle makes better. Plantain chips just aren’t my thing. I’ve never bothered taking any of my leftovers home. That speaks volumes because I hate wasting food. If I ever go there again, it’ll only be for the cheap beer.

Quaint, limited but adequate menu. We were happy with what we ordered.

The Mrs. and I came here for the first time as a pre-Valentine’s day. First of all, it’s really nice inside. All the hanging lights create a really nice ambience. It feels like a Mexican restaurant but without all the typical cheesy mexican decorations. Almost gives the feel of being in an outdoor bar or cute Latin American street. And now writing this I suddenly to take another Mexican vacation… Ok about the food. I ordered the Street Tacos Al Pastor. These have some good heat to them so I don’t recommend them if you don’t like spice. I enjoyed the avocado-jalapeño salsa, and the pineapple was a nice touch of sweetness. But overall they were salty but not entirely satisfying. There was just something missing that would have made them perfect… garlic? Maybe a sweetness in the marinade would have better rounded out the flavor. My wife had the Pulled Pork Enchiladas. These were pretty darn good. The only surprise is that she’s used to saucy enchilada, and these came with a fancy drizzle of sauce rather than a bath. The sauce was good, but would have been more enjoyable had there been more of it. Ok drinks time. We hit a home run here! Unfortunately I’m blanking on the name of my drink but it had ginger beer, actual ginger, some lemon, and I believe tequila. Wasn’t the moscow mule. This was very tasty and a great balance of sweet & spicy. The Mrs. got the Mission Rum Punch which was outstanding. And boozy :-) which is why they only serve 2 per person. In my opinion this is the best drink value in the restaurant Finally, our server Richard was the nicest guy and completely took care of us. He definitely made the evening great. Would love to come back again!

I love the atmosphere and great bar area– I come here once a year hoping I’ll learn to love the food and service but always disappointed. Happy hour isn’t that great– things on HH menu is $ 1 off regular prices. They charge $ 2 for chips and pico which I can live with– if they gave you more than 2 tablespoons of pico. Same with the side of guac– so small for $ 3. Drinks seems weak, food is bland, we felt rushed. Matador is so much better.

F@ck Mission for not letting Postmates deliver my food. We ordered it, he ordered it but they refused to let him take it to us. I live less than a mile away. Just wanted to eat some mexican and watch a movie. Lame

The taste of the food here was decent. However, the portions and service left much to be desired. We had arrived 20 minutes before they started their happy hour only menu. We were given dinner menus to order from. The workers did not say anything about when the switch would occur, but we noticed a sign when they stopped allowing orders from the dinner menu. My entire party had selected what they wanted within 5 minutes. However, 5 minutes after the dinner menu was no longer being served, the waitress finally came over and said, «you were not supposed to get these menus, it’s happy hour only right now, I hope you didn’t want anything off of this menu.» As someone who works in customer service, it is all about setting an expectation you can meet. If they had told us before we were only going to be able to order off the happy menu, we would have been happy. They also could have made sure they took our order within a timely matter, but instead came way after we arrived. On top of It all, she was extremely rude. I may not have gotten every word in my quote correct, but the part I remember clearly was, «I hope you didn’t want anything off of this menu.» They should have been more than happy to serve us off the menu they gave us. The most annoying part, was that our appetizers, despite«not being able to be ordered off the regular menu» were still full price. I didn’t want to cause a scene because she didn’t even seem welcoming and I knew a complaint would be met with hostility. Very poor service. I won’t go into great detail, but despite good flavor and a good selection of vegetarian options, the portions were way off. For our 5? Plantain chips, we got a huge bowl of guacamole and a large amount of regular chips with a very small bowl of pico. The tacos were small and I was actually glad I paid what I did for happy hour instead of regular menu price(even though it’s not what I planned on getting). I will also add that 3 of us in our party were vegetarian. One of my friends found fish in their sweet potato taco, which he shrugged off. If it was me, I would have been furious, as I have been a vegetarian for years. To be honest, I could make something of this quality at home, or go somewhere else and receive much better service. I will probably not return.

I was very impressed by the nachos! I ordered the shreddy beef ones and added jalapenos. They were definitely one of the best orders of nachos I have ever had, but I never ever ever ever eat them, Ms Jackson, so you decide if my opinion is valid. The beef looked a whole lot like pork, so maybe a mistake was made in the kitchen, but whatever beast it was I liked. The only downside was the wait for beer. Our first pitcher took about 15 minutes to get to us… way too long, and about 10 after that. Our section was not packed, so there really should not have been a hold-up. Other than the beer speed, our waitress was great and on top of everything we needed.

Ugh, what a piss-poor excuse for a meal. Came in just after 8PM looking for some Mexican food to take back to my place. I considered going to Chipotle, but – no no – I wanted to do The Right Thing and support a local restaurant. What a huge mistake. Once in Mission’s little front room, I stood for an awkward couple minutes watching servers walk by, waiting for someone to give me the okay to sit at the bar and order a burrito to go. It took forever for someone to acknowledge my presence. Okay, whatever. Not happy, but not a big deal. Once I finally got to the bar, I ordered a Modelo and burrito to go. The Modelo was fine… it would turn out to be the second best part of my meal. I dicked around on my phone for a while, sipped my beer, made room for a couple next to me, they ordered drinks and a meal, I watched the game, I cleared the halfway point on my beer, my neighbors got their food, the game headed into the next quarter, I finished my beer, the people next to me finished their food, they ordered another round of drinks, I watched ticket after ticket get picked up at the kitchen. Still no sign of my burrito. It was 8:30 by then. Eventually, at about 8:45, the staff noticed I’d been waiting and brought me my food with a half-hearted sort of apology. «Oh, here’s your food, sorry about that. Do you want another beer or take off?» Gee, what do you think? Once back to my place, I counted the change they’d given back to me. I’d split a $ 100 bill and tipped $ 2 and whatever loose change they had in the dish. I got $ 67 back. So, either a burrito and a beer costs $ 31 or they shorted me. Either way: excellent. Things got worse. The burrito itself was huge, which was great. The taste? Not great. It was supposed to be a shredded chicken burrito with sour cream, guacamole, beans, rice – everything. What it turned out to be was a couple strands of chicken(one of them complete with something rock hard lodged in it), lots of rice, shreds of carrots and green beans like they emptied a packet of frozen stir-fry vegetables in it, a few diced tomatoes, and a little sour cream squeezed out on top. There was no flavor. None. Even after I covered it in Tapatio. It was like the burrito swallowed the hot sauce itself, like it disappeared into some sort of Bland Hole. The best part, no joke, was the tortilla. And the fact that, after the last bite of that tortilla, that this meal was finally over. What, did you think I wouldn’t finish a $ 30 burrito?

Go here, get the nachos and a margarita and forget about everything else in your life. You will be VERY happy you did. Awesome ambiance, friendly staff, good food selection. Also, the best tequila selection around. Every time I go here I leave VERY satisfied. But seriously, get nachos and a margarita, to start, then keep ordering.

North Admiral district would not be the same without MISSION! I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, did I say LOVE this restaurant!!! First — they are open nearly 24⁄7 offering good Mexican food and full bar. Secondly — service is superb, thirdly — halapeno margaritas are second to none!

Ariel was our server. Though polite, she said that all of the dishes on the happy hour menu were«not that spicy». Turns out all of them were so spicy we could not eat them. We left hungry and dissatisfied.

We love mission — incredible staff, great food, and best spot in West Seattle to have a party. Oh, and the rum punch is delicious and dangerous ;). If you haven’t tried Mission GO, you won’t regret it.

One of my favorite places near Alki. The ambiance is superb, love the stuffed jalapenos with chorizo and the habanero margaritas are the bomb! Hope is the best waitress, she’s so on top if it too! Great spot

I co-hosted a party at Mission this weekend and it was AMAZING! We got the whole upstairs for no fee, we had our own bartender, 60 people fit without a problem, and the food/drinks were amazing and reasonable! People were able to open their own tabs, which made it super convenient. Getting the room reserved was really easy and they were very responsive to all of my questions. The upstairs area is secluded so no party crashers came, and it was beautiful! Plus they let me decorate! The quesadillas were amazing, and I highly recommend the vegetarian enchiladas! They also do a mean pineapple mojito. I highly recommend Mission for a casual happy hour, or a 30th birthday party :)

I love it inside this place — it’s cute, dark with pretty lighting and comfortable. Most food was okay. The queso funito was not good. They really skimp on the meat for the fajitas… you really have to look for it. Service is pretty good.

Pretty lights, cozy atmosphere. Booth seating or event seating upstairs. Mission is small and dark inside but a fun place with good music and attentive staff. I had pit roasted adobo pork at the 10 year anniversary and it was incredible. My favourite meal ever. Taco Tuesday is the bomb. Pork and sweet potato are winners. Stuffed jalepenos are awesome. Plaintain chips and guac are great. Fajitas are good too. Nachos are massive. Expect to box up half a burritto. Good value, nice range of drinks. Kid friendly. Love it.

Food: 4 Stars Drinks: 3 Stars Atmosphere: 4 Stars Service: NEGATIVESTARS! Our server was Grahm N. Beyond awful service. He was paying more attention to some girl at the bar than anyone else in the place. There was 8 people in the bar and my party of 2. We waited 11 minutes for him to even bring us water, and I stood at the bar for 4.5 minutes while he made eye contact with me and my partner while he stood and talked to this lady at the bar and checked his phone. Dude, I’m standing at your bar holding money. Service??? His service(or lack thereof) completely ruined the experience tonight. Strawberry margarita was too strong. Will I be coming back, sure but I won’t be served by Grahm anymore. Fellow Unilocalers beware.

Although the focus is on tequila here, you can find a good beer. Had the Happy Hour Little Green Salad with the spicy dressing. It truly was spicy but the beer nicely cooled the burned taste buds. Bartenders are friendly. Some good happy door deals. Definitely worth a visit.

Fair Mexican restaurant with a nice, dog-friendly outside area. There’s not much to rave about here, but its a safe, local bet. I’m never impressed with places that charge for salsa or that don’t have margarita pitchers, but the food is above average and the service is friendly. HH ends at 6, so come early. May return if in the area.

My friend set up an event at Mission, having never been, the first place I checked was Unilocal. The reviews were pretty mixed, so I was worried. I arrived about 20 minutes before my friends and was helped to secure a table in the back for my group. The host as well as the waitress were friendly and helpful. The regular menu is no longer available after 10, when late Happy Hour begins. I had trouble up to 10PM deciding if I wanted to order from the regular menu or HH, and the waitress was really nice about it and checked in at the latest possible moment. Since the dishes I was looking at were pretty similar to the HH menu, I decided on the nachos and the sweet potato tacos with a side of guacamole. Because of the reviews I saw, I didn’t order any meat, although I am a true carnivore. When the nachos came out, I was surprised how large they were, easily enough for two or three people to share. I suppose if you are a heavy eater, these might seem small compared to the monster size nachos at some restaurants. For $ 5, the nachos are pretty generous — Corn chips, cheese, black beans, pico de gallo, and crème fresca. The only thing you need is a side of guacamole! The sweet potato tacos, $ 2.50 each were really tasty, add a little of the green hot sauce and they are perfecto! I did note the menu on the web site is outdated, as are the prices reflected. Coming from Southern California, I wouldn’t call this authentic Mexican food, but I don’t think Mission is either. All in all, pretty good, I would come back if I were in the neighborhood.
