The best late night dogs! The cream cheese is so unique and delicious. The other hot dogs can’t compete!

After a fun evening out in Seattle visiting with family. They went on and on about this fabulous hotdog place we had to try. After walking many blocks in the opposite direction of our car we got to this stand and my goodness it was the best dog I have ever eaten! The cream cheese makes it exceptional! My son that has never liked hot dogs even enjoyed it! Well worth the walk! Grateful for the local folks sharing this great find with us!

A hotdog stand? Five stars? Sober? Well… most people probably aren’t sober. But coming from a sober point of view, this place is the tops! Wow, one bite into a Monster dog and it’s chock full of flavor! Get it with onions, utilize the condiment bar, tip your friendly vendor, avoid drunken people, do not give bites to random people sitting on the street that ask for a bite. Having said all that, it’s a GREAT place to get a quick and satisfying heap of sodium filled fatty goodness after a night of drinking or when you’re feeling a little peckish. I can smell the finger licking sizzling fat waft into my apartment like Tom and Jerry wafterons. I just had one. now I want another. KHAAAAAAAN!

This review is a little late but it’s appropriate because of my recent desire of a repeat performance. We found this gem just walking around downtown sometime last year and decided to try it out. Most places steam or boil their hot dogs; or even worse, microwave them. Occasionally, you might find a pan-fried hot dog or a deep fried Chicago Dog. Better but not grilled. Grilled is truly the best way to appreciate a hot dog of any kind. The service here is really good and fast and the food is just amazing. There are many topping offerings but I was less concerned about that than a medium-well done, crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside hot dog. These fit that to a T. Perfect late night food(especially considering they only come out at night) after a show and cocktails. Now, we come to the present. Because this was an integral part of the trip, we walked the path to where the stand would be that night and timed out our evening. After our show at the Triple Door, we headed down to grab some extraordinary yumminess.(I must add as a side note that I am not a eat hot dogs all the time person, I crave them once or twice a year.) Anyways, it wasn’t there. We walked around the block for a bit thinking they might be somewhere close but they were nowhere to be found. We did call the telephone number and confirmed we were at the right locale but did not choose the option to speak with a manager. It just seemed like something that would go to vm so I let it go. Despite my deep dissapoinment, I still give this five stars because it’s the best hot dog you’ll ever have. ps. The hot dogs are HUGE; come with an appetite.

Before moving to Seattle, we were told we must absolutely have a Seattle Monster dog. The cream cheese and onions are the best combo I have ever had on the hotdog. I make mine this way at home now. :) Like others have said, its the perfect last stop after a night on the town.

I LOVETHISPLACEAFTERTHEBARS! My personal favorite vendor is the guy on 4th Street by the Belltown Pub. Do yourself a favor, and try the«Seattle Dog»!

Believe the hype! This was so good and tasty especially after dancing and drinking all night. And the guy making the dogs was sooo nice.

Seattle dogs are so good! This particular stand is right next to Belltown Pub and when I’m leaving at 2am slightly inebriated, it is perfectly convenient and amazingly tasty! The guy who runs it is friendly and fast. My recommendation is to just get a regular Seattle Dog(although you can customize) because it’s amazing! A hot dog, grilled onions, and cream cheese doesn’t particularly sound the best, the first time I tried it I became a believer, haha. $ 5 cash only and don’t forget to tip the nice man.

If I’m craving a hot dog, I always look for a Monster Dogs stand regardless of what neighborhood I’m in. Their beef Polish is perfect, the onions are always done right, and they’re not shy with cream cheese. The buns? Of course they’re toasted. They have veggie dogs, too. Consistently good and always tempting drunk food. Monster Dogs has made a loyal customer out of me.

Being from Chicago, I have to admit I’m very skittish and particular about my hot dogs. I also appreciate hot dogs that are different from«Chicago Dogs». However I was skeptical when told my hot dog would include cream cheese, onions, and jalapeño peppers. I should have known it would work out alright. Ordered that and a japanese dog that had chili on it. Both were amazing. I ended up taking it back to my hotel and devouring them. Amazing, would definitely try if in Seattle, especially after a night of drinking or hungover the next day and looking for something to put in your stomach.

Holy Geezus! My husband can’t stop talking about these hot dogs. Definitely a part of the Seattle experience. They are addicting and worth the trek to find them.

Such fun! Didn’t realize it was a food truck until we got there — ha! Server was so cool and really helpful since we were visiting seattle and had also never been to Monster Dogs. He informed us that the Seattle-dog was with cream cheese but my husband and I opted out of that! We got one spicy dog and one non, both with grilled onions and then some do-it-yourself toppings(they offer ketchup, mustard, sauerkraut, mayo, jalapeños). Dogs were awesome! So much fun to have for a late night snack :).

We were actually planning to eat sushi down the road but our plans failed and we ended up eating hot dogs from this stand. I love hot dog stands and wished there was even one back home. I think there were only three types of sausages to choose from which is great if you’re an indecisive person like me. I had the spicy link which was juicy and delicious. Plus, the condiments added on top made it even better. If you’re hungry and just want something quick, hot dogs are the way to go!

I had to work last Friday night. That kind of sucked. When my husband suggested that we swing by Monster Dogs for a late night snack, my night improved. The combination of a hot dog, grilled onions and cream cheese is a little unusual, but it works! It was only maybe 10:30 p.m. but they had a pretty busy stream of customers. It’s not health food, but I can definitely see the late-night guilty-pleasure appeal, and I have a feeling we’ll be back, especially when I can justify it by whining, «I had to work on a Friday night! I deserve a treat!»

Street dogs. HOT street dogs. Quite tasty, and the cart is STOCKED with toppings. Very tasty. I recommend the seattle dog, adding crout, j-peps and sriracha goodness. :-D

Alcohol + Seattle style dog = Mr. Pibb + Red vines. CRAZYDELICIOUS! Cream cheese, Sriracha sauce, grilled onions, and jalepenos on a hot dog sounds gross, but it’s pretty damn delicious when you’re smashed. In my non-inebrieted state, I’d say it probably has something to do with taste, texture, and temperature contrast. Note that not all Monster Dogs are equal. The one on 2nd& Bell makes consistently proper dogs. The one on 1st& Blanchard, not so much. I haven’t been to the other ones.

I recently discovered this hot dog stand while partying in Belltown. After a night of drinking and dancing, I can’t resist getting a hot dog! The menu is nice and simple but all I really care about is the Seattle Dog. I love that this cart splits the hot dog and grills both sides. That’s exactly how I do it at home! The grill-to-meat ratio is the best this way. Oh, and they also grill the buns! They don’t have as many condiment options as other hot dog stands. All I really want is some tabasco or franks hot sauce and then I’d have the perfect hot dog!

When in Seattle you must get a Seattle dog! Preferably after a night out on the town, after a few drinks — it’s the perfect late night food. What it is: hot dog in a cart, the bun is slathered with cream cheese and it’s topped with BBQ sauce… um, heck ya! Sounds weird, tastes good, period.

mmmm! i really liked monster dogs!!! monster dogs only come out at night… just like«real monsters» would. scaring people at night! ;) i was still really hungry from a meal and thought a hot dog might fill me up. granted.it was $ 4, but at least it had heft and tasted damn good. they split a polish dog down the middle so it can get proper stuffage. and the bun was perfectly toasted. yum! meat was delicious. i opted out of their special — you know. .seattle dog(cream cheese & onions). i guess i should’ve tried it, but i already don’t like cream cheese in sushi. i doubt i’d really change my mind with hot dogs. ^.^ locations — they are stationed mainly around lounges /night clubs… and are setup as stands. you know sort of a fancy version of those bacon hot dog push carts you see in la. ;)

I hate you Monster Dogs! You tempted me and now I’m addicted. I crave my hot link, cream cheese, and grilled onions on a perfectly toasted bun. Really? Do I need this at midnight? Yes I do, because I’m an addict! I cruise Western and Blanchard hoping to catch a whiff of your onions grilling. You’re fast, friendly and efficient. The perfect storm for my newest addiction.
