My-​Hanh was terrific! She saw me as a walk-​in for a cut and style. There is Such a fun vibe in the salon and and my hair looks gorgeous. Great service and pricing, I’ll definitely be back.
The former barbershop retained its historic charm with a playful update. Mynt is a great addition to the White Center neighborhood

First of all please do not be fool by the way it looks from the outside because once you get in, it is nice and elegant.
When you walk in there are many smiles that greets you welcome or if you are a regular customer like me you get greeted by name which is pretty Mnyty refreshing.
The owner My-​hanh isn’t only talented on what she does but also kind. This salon is special just because of the people who works and represents Mynt salon.
If you come across or heard of Mynt salon I highly recommend this place because you will always come out in Mynt condition.

My-​Hanh booked me same day and did a perfect partial foil for me, for a great price. I love the fun ambiance in her salon, very cottage chic, and much of it DIY that she made herself, including the curtains, shelves, tables. PLUS: you get to watch a really fun music video playlist on a large screen while your color sets. I also loved the Joico shampoo products she used, and want to get some for at home use.
My-​Hanh herself is also a very vibrant and multi-​talented person who is fun to chat with and has a good sense of humor.
During my appointment I texted my friend a photo of my foils in and she asked if she could get her hair colored ASAP. My-​Hanh booked her for the next day, last appointment of the day. Her hair turned out beautiful, too!
Bonus that this place is around the corner from my house, so will definitely be returning. A great neighborhood gem. My partner has been going to her for years.

My Hanh has done my hair twice and I loved how it turned out both times! She just has that magic touch! I’ve been to many places and I’ve had only a couple girls (her being one of them) that knows how to do hair especially my hair! She also cuts my kids hair and my boyfriends hair she just died it all! She’s just an amazing person who knows hair! I definitely recommend her to all my friends who ask «who did your hair?» If you want amazing hair go to her! Very talented and she’s just awesome! My-​Hanh has been my go to stylist for the past 4 years and she continues to raise the bar each time I see her. Though I’ve been hopping along the west coast experimenting with other high-​end stylists in Santa Monica, LA, and Portland, I always left feeling a little disappointed that my hair dreams didn’t come true. Each time I’d come back to My-​Hanh though, I left with amazing hair EXACTLY like how I wanted it, which reminded me that there’s just honestly no comparison.
Her new shop in White Center is clean, has ample parking, classy with a vintage vibe, and completely approachable. If you want bougie, pretentious service, Mynt Salon isn’t for you because their staff is 100% friendly, non judgmental but completely accommodating with complementary glasses of wine and super nice staff.
On to the hair. Throughout all my hair phases like blonde, brunette, warm, ash, long, layered, ombré, balayage and the like, My-​Hanh is adept at every style and I always get amazing compliments after she gives my hair some royal treatment.
Today I went in with a photo of some semi ash blonde ombré balayage and wasn’t sure if we could get it processed in a single session since I came in with brunette hair. A few hours later, I came out with beautifully ash blonde ombré that perfectly blended in with my balayage. Cut was also super complementary to frame my face so I was thrilled to see the cut customized to me.
She also suggested affordably priced Bed Head lavender shampoo without a crazy up mark so you know she’s not trying to pull the wool over your eyes.
All in all, even though I now live in Portland, My-​Hanh is worth the drive up and worth an appointment for anyone looking for cut or color. I wouldn’t know what to do without her if she ever stopped doing hair and, frankly, don’t EVER want to think about it.

Best hair salon ever. I recommend this salon to everyone. My-​Hanh is great with Asian hair and she can get you anything you want from platinum blonde to a great ombré. She is my go to and and is literally the best. The prices are very affordable and her store is well decorated. The workers are very nice and it’s just a great salon overall. I recommend this place to others and I guarantee you will not be disappointed with her work. I just got a ash brown balayage and I’m in love.
