I’ve tried this place two times and the service is consistently very slow, low energy servers. The drinks were expensive and not that good. I would not come here again. There’s no reason for such slow service when only two tables were occupied.

Great food. Ordered a taco and enchilada combo. Great portion. Chips and salsa sold separately. Read the Unilocal coupon fine print, there’s minimum purchases.

Came on a Sunday and it wasn’t busy at at all. We got drinks and chips immediately and refills the second we finished. Waiter was very attentive and checked on us frequently. I was pleasantly surprised when they had a few veggie options. I got the veggie tacos and it was a ton of food. Wish we lived closer or I would definitely be coming back!

The one and only star is for the cute little house that hold this restaurant. The décor is gorgeous. First off, this is the Very First Mexican place that doesn’t kindly offer you chips and salsa. Hmmm. Being a vegetarian, there was very little on the menu to choose from so I went for a safe bet; cheese enchiladas with verde sauce and rice and beans. I know I’m a cool and my standards can be somewhat high, but this dish tasted like I wrapped American cheese around some mushy tortillas, slapped on some rice a roni, some watered down refrieds and nuked the dish in a dank microwave. I mean GROSS. I actually took a bite and just couldn’t continue. Crow asked our server to exchange the plate for the veggie street tacos quietly. Within a minute of doing so, the manager(I’m guessing) came out and loudly asked what I didn’t like about the dish. I tried to say it just wasn’t very good, she pressed. So I told her it tasted as if a tiny bit of American cheese was placed between old tortillas with absolutely no seasoning. She said the dish was one of their best sellers. Hmmmm. After the confrontation, I decided to cancel the tacos. Side note: never order anything else from a kitchen after your given attitude. So all in all, I left feeling attacked and also hungry. Sad, because I do understand about unhappy customers, but know how to handle them a bit better. Good luck to you Nana’s, it seems as if you do an okay amount of biz.

Not good. We’ve just moved to Queen Anne, so we walked here. Kind of cute place, but the food was not good. We had a margarita and a beer, chips and salsa, a couple of entrees. Fairly tasteless, and overpriced. Disappointed because we love Mexican…

This place should be called No No mexican ain’t here. The only mexican thing you would find is the mexican attire that the servers have, their table clothes and some paintings fir décor. The food here is beyond mediocre, bland, no flavor whatsoever, and their alcoholic drinks are basically Kool aids. The service was ok but I came here to eat and left very disappointed.

The food here is not even as good as a real and cheaper taqueria. Its all pomp and circumstance and location location– except that every restaurant opening in this specific building tend to fail quickly. Its probably the rent. Only dumb and clueless tourists will eat here, or people with extra money so that they feel proud to be able to pay too much for Mexican food. In general, Any Seattle Mexican food sold in a «restaurant» is bad and too expensive. Stick to the trucks or go to Rancho Bravo on Capitol Hill.

Service was good but the food was mediocre. Quality of food was blah snd presentation looked like they were trying to fill the plate to make it look like you were getting something. Not impressed and won’t be back. Ubered from downtown Seattle. Should have stayed home.

This place is ok. The menus were real sticky. There was also a long hair inside of my menu, which to be frank, was off putting at the get-go. I’d like more healthy options, like wild fish, vs farm tilapia — which I and I’m sure many others who live on QA know is totally unhealthy. I’d like grass fed beef in the tacos, vs whatever beef. The food wasn’t particularly good, even as sort of trashy comfort food. From the recollection of my first visit here a few years ago, the place has gone downhill food-wise(in flavor) and cleanliness. The margaritas were stiff enough. The staff is friendly and nice — definitely well meaning, so nothing to do with that. i probably won’t make an effort to go back anytime soon.

I really want to like this place because it is in my neighborhood but I’ve been here four times and the service has been poor to bad. Tonight we fought off a giant horse fly off our table– it annoyed us for 20 min and I told the hostess that if it landed on our food we were leaving– she said she would be back and would try to work on it. She never came back to our table and in the meantime when our fajitas arrived the fly hightailed it to our plates …,.luckily my husband shooed it away and it flew into the candle and drowned in the wax. Finally I could relax and try to eat the bland fajitas. We had to ask for plates 3 times and they Never arrived! Really-plates are kind of a necessity in a restaurant. We just used the fajita plate which is kind of gross. The Cocktail waitress comes to your table often but if you ask that waitress for anything like plates or salsa or to help with the fly-she doesn’t respond. My husband didn’t like it at all– I thought the Margarita’s, the Salsa & the Queso were good. If I had to go back there I would just order the drinks and the chips and dip platter.

Before going into this restaurant, you’ll be pleasantly charmed by its colorful exterior. Once inside, it’s quite a cozy atmosphere with the different random décor and such. Came here with a few friends for dinner and overall, it was an ok experience. Service was just a bit slow but not too bad, the drinks were yummy, but food was meh. At a price range of around $ 10−15+ per dish, I had high expectations for this place given the price(and the fact that most Mexican restaurants in Seattle are pretty decent). However, the food itself wasn’t as great as I had envisioned. Ordered the combination dish which allows you to pick either 1, 2, or 3 entrée items(all at different prices) that comes with a side of rice and beans. For me, I chose the chicken tamal and the beef crispy taco. First, the rice and beans = no bueno. The rice was a bit too mushy while the beans tasted oddly sour like and quite unpleasant. As for the crispy taco, it was just a typical taco but I liked how the grounded beef was seasoned. Finally, the tamal was decent and I liked this the best(but the portion was small for this and left me craving for more). As for the drinks, my friends and I thoroughly enjoyed these. I had the Pomegranate Mojito and this was super yummy and refreshing. My friends had the margarita and all of them enjoyed it. Some things to note: If you are trying to execute the Unilocal Check In offer(the $ 10 discount), you cannot use this on your first check in. After asking the staff for clarification, I was told(and given a card with instructions), that you can use the Unilocal Check In on your SECOND visit + you must show some proof that you have written a review for the restaurant. Also, chips and salsa are not free during dinner time. Most places offer chips and salsa as a complimentary dish but do be aware that you may have to pay if you order it here. As for parking, I wish you luck in finding something on the street in the busy area of Queen Anne.

Ok so I thought I would give this another try. I am so glad that I did! My wife and I shared a Molcajete which was loaded with delicious chicken, carne asada and bacon wrapped shrimp! I will be back for this.

Hmmm I feel bad writing this because I’ve been here many times for Sunday brunch and have had great service, great food and an overall good experience, it’s always a bit slower but I don’t usually mind because I like to just relax for weekend brunch. Good things first, our server was nice and the bloody Mary’s are my favorite, so good! But on the other hand I was a little disappointed that at 5 mins to 3 they stopped serving brunch but it’s fine I understand. Then the server told me they started charging for chips, okay fine, again not a huge deal. We ordered guacamole that they make at your table but unfortunately the avocados were under ripe, stringy and flavorless even with the ingredients she added I was pouring salt on it to give it SOME flavor. Then the food came about 30 mins after the appetizer by which point I was not even hungry anymore. And to top it off the food was flavorless, a huge tostada(which I had about 5 bites of) and veggie fajitas. My kids seemed to like their enchiladas but I didn’t taste them. The beans and rice seriously tasted like nothing. What was going on?! It’s always been so good. It has been about 5 months since my last visit so maybe an off day? I don’t know. I hope it gets better but I don’t know if I’ll be back. I want this place to be good again so bad! Good Mexican food is so hard to find in this city.

Hands down the best Mexican I’ve ever eaten in Seattle. The atmosphere is eclectic, the staff friendly, and the food is crazy amazing. I feel like a lot of the Mexican food I have falls pretty much on the same level on the yum scale. This place is easily 35% better. Their drinks are inventive, potent and beautiful to look at. The chips and salsa are the BEST — seriously. They put a light lime«glaze» on them and I literally cannot stop eating them. I have always ordered the chicken enchiladas and the chicken is always so moist and tender. Perfection! I hope these guys stick around for a long time, because I’ll always be back!

Décor is amazing 5⁄5 Service was great– 5⁄5 1. They greeted us when we walked in 2. Let us choose a seat away from the door 3. Introduced himself as our waiter(personable and professional) 4. Forewarned me my drink might be a little off if blended since the normal bartender was gone for the night– I got to make an informed decision 5. Food came out in timely manner 6. They topped off my drink!- apparently it all didn’t fit in the glass blended. Food– 3.5−4÷5 Quesadilla was good. Loved the al pastor and didn’t expect that. I’m pretty picky about my meats but it was great quality and loved the pineapple. Relleno was great. Yummy cheesy egg goodness. Never had it before but I’d get it again. Only critique is the rice and refried beans lacked much flavor. Didn’t try the black beans. Guacamole good and salsa was great. Appreciated chips & salsa came with the meal. We’re coming back!

I randomly stumbled upon this place last Friday for lunch around 12:30. We sat outside because it was a nice day. It was a little understaffed but I think it was just because it was early, near the end of our meal another server came as it got busier. Our server was very sweet! I got the steak fajitas and my friend got the chicken salad. First off my portion was huge for only $ 13. I am used to fajitas costing so much more at other places and honestly they were the best fajitas I have had! Perfectly seasoned and had the best mix of veggies sizzling as it came to my table. On top of the fajitas I got another whole plate with rice, beans, sour cream, guacamole, lettuce, and pico de gallo. As well as a container with corn tortillas. I will definitely be back for these :)

I went here with my fiancé on a week night and luckily didn’t have to wait for a table since we wanted to sit outside(we would’ve had to wait 15 minutes to sit inside). The food was excellent, with substantial portions. The only reason I am rating it 4 instead of 5 stars is our drink order took an unusually long time. We received our margaritas AFTER we received our food. The waiter said it was because the bartender suddenly got hit with many drink orders at one time, but who knows if that was the real reason. If you sit outside, you can bring your dogs, and they will give you a water bowl for your dog(s) to drink from. Because we have dogs of our own, we will definitely be coming to this restaurant again(especially because one of our dogs just so happens to be named Nana as well! :)).

The food was really good(mija burrito) and the portion was impressive. The drinks were just ok… very weak(for $ 14 I want at least 1.5oz of tequila in my margarita. Is that too much to ask?) The service was a little disappointing as well. The waitress forgot one of our drinks, we never got a second basket of chips, and my water glass remained empty for most of the meal. When we were ready to go it took a little time to track down the waitress to get the check. I will definitely eat the food here again… but I will get it to go and enjoy it in the comfort of my own home.

Based on breakfast, the chili verde sauce and the horchata this place rocks. This location has been so many things and I hope this one sticks. The eggs were done well, the chorizo was right on and the potatoes were nice and crispy. Looking forward to dinner here soon.
