Nepenthe Massage

I was looking forward to getting another massage by Naomi, because she is so good. Unfortunately, she doesn’t vaccinate or wear a mask & she talks a lot about conspiracies. Her boyfriend or husband (?) hangs around a lot and has no problem telling you why he thinks trump is the legitimate president (insert eyeroll) and why Jan 6 was “antifa”. And of course how bill gates and George soros made the vaccine to mind control you. Sad to see from a good massage therapist. It seems to be something that has gone from the alt-right into a lot of people like this. Luckily most everyone else in seattle is vaccinated and wears masks. Now I know why she works under the table. That is too bad.

The new 2015 location on 35^th Avenue SW at SW Roxbury Street is terrific. Naomi has a wonderful space for massage treatments and a community boutique of handmade and nicely priced art and clothing. Naomi is amazing. I highly recommend Naomi for any kind of treatment she offers. I saw her for massage a few times when I lived in Seattle and felt so fortunate to have found her. She isn’t one to hurry you through while watching the clock. She is very intuitive to one’s body and amazingly effective. My body felt so much more relaxed and happy after a massage from Naomi. I highly recommend without reservation. Thank you Naomi!

I bought the $ 90 for $ 65 deal and asked to apply it to a two hour massage regularly priced at $ 110. She tells me I cannot, that the deal is for a 90 minute. It’s a voucher for $ 90, which means I can use it however I want. So then she said I need to pay $ 40 on top of my voucher. So… I have to pay $ 105 for a normally $ 110 massage. Where’s the deal? Buy something that looks like a $ 25
Deal and only save $ 5? That’s ridiculous. I want my voucher money back.

Nepenthe massage is soothing and you leave feeling very grounded. I have enjoyed every massage she has given me. Naomi makes you feel comfortable, cared for and ready to schedule your next massage. Her hands are healing.

I have gotten several massages from Naomi and they have all been really awesome! I have annoying low back pain and after my last massage, I didn’t have the pain anymore, for the rest of the day. It was really nice to have the relief. I wish I could get a massage from her everyday!
Naomi is a really sweet person with the wits and the know how for a killer massage, and her shop is great. She has everything one wants when getting a massage; table warmer, lovely essential oils with a diffuser, (she hooked me up with eucalyptus because my nose was plugged/​runny), hot towels, relaxing tunes, also she is knowledgeable about how to heal the body, and is a true believer in the power of massage. Naomi and her space is warm, inviting and very comfortable.

Naomi’s relaxed attitude makes it easy to relax. She’s sensitive to different issues, and is fabulous at helping with migraines. Also the products she uses are natural and don’t aggravate my allergies or sensitive skin. This is a huge bonus for me as even fancy «natural» facials, waxes, and massage oils sometimes make me break out. All in all a great thing!

I have had good massage and really awful massage. Naomi is the best I’ve experienced since I started getting massage ten years ago. She surprised me because everyone I’ve seen (except her) recently has gone too deep too fast and has caused my body to go into some sort of ticklish defense mechanism. I thought I may have to take a break from massage, but I was mistaken! Something about her energy causes me to immediately relax once on her massage bed. The music and aromatherapy she uses only enhance what is already a perfect massage. I work standing up and using my arms all day long, and my former constant neck pain has now vanished! Thank you, Naomi, for making life a hundred times better:)

My doc referred me to get a massage, so I went to Naomi to get a rub down. (I must interject here to mention that I don’t like people to touch me, but I have something called Thorasic Outlet, which means that my armpit muscles are tight like knots and it makes my arms all numb and hurty.) So, I was really nervous driving over — because of the no touchy issue. However, as soon as I got into Naomi’s little cubicle-​room, I was immediately relaxed. The music was soothing, and the decoration suited my hippie tastes… long and flowy window treatments, pretty rocks from The Nature and shiny glass things, etc. Also, Naomi made sure to let me know that she’d be happy to change the music if I’d like.
Once we started on the actual business of untying the knots, it was uh-​mazing. Enough so that I’d let her touch me again. Seriously. (Don’t tell my girlfriend. JK.) She worked her way up to the knots, and was gentle but firm, if that makes sense. (Basically, she read my face and lightened up the pressure every time I winced, but was firm enough to work the knots out.) Also, she used this natural icy-​hot stuff (peppermint, arnica and some other hippie stuff) that was delightful like magic.
It’s the next morning, and I still feel all deliciously loose and relaxed (and I just drove 15 miles in the crappy snow!).

I was looking for an affordable massage that didn’t suck. It seems like you have to compromise some times. I’ve gotten massages from «membership» places and they were not consistent and the turn over rate was crazy. So anyway, I found Naomi at the Beauty Bar is West Seattle. Naomi was really good. Her prices were great and she has years of experience.
I see her about 1x/​mo. and feel awesome after.
