Awesome atmosphere, friendly staff, cool presentation, and pretty tasty coffee. I wish more places existed that had all of these elements! Neptune you’re the best.

Stopped in here for Sunday coffee with my girlfriend. It was pretty busy for a Sunday afternoon. We both ordered a vanilla latte-hot and iced. My iced vanilla latte was pretty decent. A little too milky. Overall, a decent cup of coffee, nothing too spectacular about it. The ambiance was nice. Its a trendy coffee shop with nice natural lighting. The crowd was young and hip. The music was nice. The noise level was average. Overall, it’s a order good coffee shop.

This coffee shop is very cozy with a urban vibe. This was the first time I went here and I kid you not I saw 4 different Husky dogs. If it is place where the world’s cutest hang out, it must be a good place. There were lots of outlets and most people in the shop where working on their laptops. I ordered a drip and it was a little bit on the sour side, maybe it is just personal taste but it wasn’t the best cup of coffee I’ve ever had thus the 4 stars. But the service was amazing and the barista were very nice.

Parking was not the most pleasant thing about this coffee shop. But their coffee was on point! It gets crowded, but when you have the chance, sit down and enjoy the atmosphere :) Great coffee shop in the area!

The coffee was wonderful, no complaints with my latte, but the service was lack luster. I guess I didn’t present myself hipster enough and felt that effected how they interacted with me. I was puzzled by this, but still enjoyed my latte. When I first placed my order, my husband was finding a parking place, and since we are from out of town and this being our first visit to Neptune, he was unaware they had food on their menu. When he came in he had purchased a sandwich from a near by establishment, he joined me and began to eat his sandwich. He was then approached by one of the staff and told he would have to leave due to bringing in outside food. My husband proceeded to go up to the counter and purchase a pastry, he was told he could still not eat his sandwich inside. This interaction left a bitter taste in my mouth. This makes me so sad; I love to visit third wave coffee shops. I frequent Cova, and Barista in Portland and Archive in Salem never have I experienced such a negative interaction.

Best Americano Misto I’ve ever had. Came here on a Sunday to enjoy a coffee and work on some projects. The atmosphere has a good vibe, the staff are great and you can just tell they brew some legit coffee from the equipment they have. Great place to get some work done and enjoy a well made coffee beverage

Friendly baristas, beautiful atmosphere, a cozy bar by the window, and a killer latte. It is a spectacular representation of what makes Seattle so great when it comes to coffee.

Not only was the coffee delicious and the atmosphere cozy on a fall afternoon, but the baristas were professional and friendly. This is one of my new favorites!

Overall Impression: Good coffee. Good biscuits. REALLYREALLY Hipster. A bit too expensive for my tastes. Just for reference: I’m not a huge coffee shop person, so maybe this review isn’t the most trustworthy for all you coffee shop afficionados. If you’re super hipster, you should go to this place. I’m not, so it wasn’t really for me. The coffee was yummy, though. And I have to say that the biscuit(what they’re famous for) is probably one of the best Ive ever had. I just had a problem with the fact that we paid like $ 6 for it. I don’t think they showed the price, either, they just charged me. The baristas were fairly nice and tried to make conversation and such. I would probably give this place a 3.5 stars, but I guess I got really annoyed at the whole«charging me $ 6 for a biscuit without showing me the price» deal. My wife liked it though, so don’t let that stop you from coming here. Oh, but the parking sucks. One tip: I wouldn’t get the bacon spread for the biscuit. It doesn’t really go well with it. It would go nicely with some mac and cheese, but not a biscuit.

Quality coffee and great atmosphere. But Neptune! Why offer $ 1 refilles on drip coffee but not on lattes? Your lattes are so expensive! It doesn’t make sense and upsets me! Please respond I want to know why?!

Wow I really like this posh little coffee shop! My large drip was full of flavor and hot as coffee should be! It was very clean(which is important tome) and the croissant was divine. I will go there again!

Great open, spacious and modern café. Good luck finding a table though! All the 2 person tables(10) were taken by one guest. Seems like a popular place for students and telecommuters. Their coffee making skills are superb and the food is very tasty. The apple pastry was perfectly crispy and flaky and not too sweet. The grilled caprese sandwich was perfect. Not greasy and not too thick. Perfect amount of thinly sliced tomato and gooey cheese. Also tried the veggie breakfast sandwich. Had red peppers on it for extra flavor. Very good! My only complaint is the music is a bit too loud. Customer service is fast and very courteous.

I really like how they paired the cappuccino with a little shot of sparkling water to go with it. Great idea! And the cappuccino was really tasty(and pretty)! Also, the barista was extremely friendly. I told him I was meeting up with a group later on, and he gave me a few tips on where to go in the neighborhood. The seating area is nice, and there’s a little patio with some picnic tables out back as well.

After frequently visiting over 20+ coffee shops in and around Seattle, without hesitation, Neptune Coffee is a strong contender to be classified as the overall«BEST»! Strengths: *Baristas(Kylie is one of best in city. All have passion, dedication, & knowledge) *Espresso, Pour Over, & Drip(Kuma, George Howell, & Sweet Bloom to name a few) *Whole Beans(rotates & same as above + Heart, Parlor, Spy House, & Velton) * Cold Brew & Freemont Beer(must try the Nitro Cold Brew) *Pastries(not sure the source, but EXCELLENT) *Breakfast Sandwiches(fresh made and fresh cooked bacon!) *Coffee Equipment For Sale(Chemex, Hario, Aeropress, Baratza, etc) *In-House Equipment(best in industry & meticulously CLEAN!) *Atmosphere & Design(layout, space, décor, & music) *Price-Quality Relationship(speaks for itself) *Speed(efficient & fast) *Hours(not bad at all. Who the hell drinks coffee after 7pm?) *Location(Greenwood is hidden gem of Seattle. Bus stop out front too) *Social Media(may sound silly, but Neptune’s use is brilliant) Possible Complaints: *Outside Food(really…other than a few craft brew places, what do you expect?) *Café Temps(yes, it can get a little muggy inside) *Noise Levels(yes, it gets extremely loud with boxed-in design) *Coffee Temps(seriously… some may complain with high temps. Just silly!) *Prices(see above in strengths) *Loitering(panhandling a little throughout late afternoon/evening. Not bad) Overall, Neptune does an excellent job at a difficult task of dialing in rotating coffee roasters. Trust me, this is VERY difficult and requires skill & know-how. Sure, Neptune has and will continue to experience«off-days» with staff, product, and other issues. But more times than not, be prepared to experience why the Pacific Northwest is still regarded as one of the World’s Coffee Mecca’s.

The atmosphere and the layout was really nice if you want to come here and study. There were rows of tables perfect for one of two people and the coffee. This is personally the best coffee study spot in the area, it was quiet and the coffee was good. Had the nitro Cold brew, it was like a mix of coffee and beer, not bad.

I like their drip coffee and the skinny paper cup it comes in I like the calm, chill décor & music I like that they have real stirring spoons But it gets muggy and hot in here. Sit by the door for the occasional welcoming breeze

Pretty good lattes, but a bit too noisy for my liking. I went on a Friday morning to taste their biscuits just to find out that they serve it only on the weekends. Not what I expected to hear. Also, I wish they had ACs inside because the ceiling fans were not helping at all! Latte-wise, the only complaint I have is that it was a tid bit too hot because I burned my tongue.

Very neat atmosphere, but more importantly, very inviting and relaxed setting. The iced vanilla latte is delicious here! IMO, it is the tiniest but sweet, but it’s so minor, it doesn’t bother me that much. The iced latte is actually shaken so you get a nice frothy, foamy head on your drink and it seems like it’s made with real vanilla/vanilla specks? Loving this place so far — it may be my first go-to café in Seattle. Keep it up Neptune.

Neptune is a charming little coffee shop snuggled on the corner of the busy intersection of Greenwood Ave and NE85th St. It may seem small but it’s actually very spacious when you step inside. It has tons of natural light pouring in from the large glass windows. There is music constantly playing in the background giving you that full trendy coffee shop feeling. Neptune is also a wonderful place to study or get some work done. They have extension cords all around the shop so you are never going to run out of battery. I think this is an absolutely amazing idea and I wish every coffee shop did this. It’s already difficult enough finding a spot to sit but having to find a spot where you can charge your laptop as well is even more difficult/limiting. The baristas here are very nice and sweet. I’ve enjoyed every one of them so far. I have tried their vanilla latte, chai tea latte, and hot coca, they were all delicious. The hot coca especially stands out in my mind but it wasn’t overly sweet. It was the perfect blend of milk and chocolate, now if only there were marshmallows added. I have also tried the buttermilk biscuit which they actually get delivered from Morsel. They toast it up for you and it’s served with butter and jam. I appreciate that the butter wasn’t rock hard and easy to spread. There are 3 jam options; raspberry, honey fig, and bacon jam for an extra $ 1. I got the raspberry jam and it was heaven! It tasted so fresh and there are literally chunks of real raspberries in it. I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a snack. Neptune also serves many coffee drinks that I have not heard of before. They sound very exotic so for the adventurous coffee drinkers I think this would be up your alley. Last highlight of this place is that they allow dogs in the shop! It’s not posted anywhere so I was very excited when I saw people walk in with their dogs. What a wonderful laid back atmosphere.
