FOUNDOUTVENUEFORTHISSHOW«MAVERICKS» ISSTANDINGROOMONLY!!! This is Julia Swanson writing this review, Last evening bought tickets for Mavericks in Sept. We clicked on best seats available and got seat assignments, so cool happy to get tickets. The seating chart didn’t show these numbers for seating. Today we called Ticket Master to find out where our seats are located and FOUNDOUTVENUEFORTHISSHOWISSTANDINGROOMONLY!!! OMG!!! Health will not allow me to stand for that long, no don’t have wheel chair, Be warned now we are trying to get tickets refunded, yes we bought insurance for these tickets. They don’t want to refund because I can’t stand that long wanting doctors form. I am being discriminated against because I have a disease. Be warned this venue is Bad and don’t expect to get refund if you can’t stand because of health. I am willing to take this as far as I have too, Just hope by leaving this review I can help others not get treated like I was today. It should be stated no seating available not best seats available when Purchasing ticket thru Ticketmaster. People we need to get vocal so others don’t suffer the same insanity and now the run around to try to get my money back because they misrepresented these tickets as seats. If they don’t refund you will see me on TV with Get Jesse…

Second best Seattle venue behind triple door. Love the layout and space you can stand and dance or sit. Want a beer? Head to the 21 and over bar area. Get in early to grab bar stools to watch the show from. Best of all, there is a noise ordinance that makes this the perfect place for school night shows! Yes, they do start on time and wrap up by 11pm. Which if you want to go out leaves plenty of bar hopping time! Don’t forget to check out the neptunes eyes… they change color through the show.

Great concert venue. There isn’t a bad seat in the house. Beware of leaving anything behind; you’ll never get a live individual on the phone to talk to to arrange a pick up. Would be nice if they got their coffee brewer fixed.

Came in for the Years & Years show(Club Neptune seats) and was very impressed with the space. Acoustics were super solid and the sound was crystal clear. A couple quick bullet points: * The front door staff is very efficient and whisked us right to our seats * Danny behind the bar is awesome! Makes great drinks and is fast, fast, fast! * Spend the extra $ 20 for the Club seats totally worth the expenditure * Be sure to Über/Lyft if you’ve been drinking, tons of cops in the area after the show ended This would’ve been a five star experience except for the female bartender working with Danny. She was beyond rude and really only seemed interested in serving drinks to her friends and letting them use the Club line.

I would honestly leave a one star review — but I could see this venue being great for *certain* types of shows — mainly I see this venue being very useful for cheaper shows for students at the nearby UW campus — but I was particularly surprised that Dita Von Teese had chosen this particular venue being as she attracts a «mature» audience and a high volume of people. First, the good — the show was awesome. The performers were engaging and Dita did a fabulous job. The staff was exceptional. Bar service was quick. Parking was easy and cheap. The bad? The venue is run down and very dirty. After I left I felt like I had a film of dirt covering my body. It did not appear that basic maintenance is being taken care of here. The seating chart does not account for the fact that seating has been removed stageside. If you buy general admission tickets, plan to get in line at least an hour before the show starts to get a seat. There are maybe 80 seats available in the balcony with many of them being broken and unusable. If you come to this venue, plan to stand. All in all, we still had a great time — because we are the type that have a good time anywhere, but I can 100% attest to the fact that I won’t see another show here because of the decrepit nature of the venue.

DONOTBOTHERCOMINGHEREWITHOUTTABLESEATSANDWETONES! The Neptune is rolling out an unadvertised physical fitness agenda to its events by forcing downstairs gen admission to stand! NOWHERE on the seating chart does it state that — obviously management is aware of the American reluctance to break a sweat and is considerately keeping us in the dark! Speaking of dark, I’m sure their next step will be to print their playbills in braille, there is so little light in the stadium seats. These seats are also graded so poorly you get a great view of the head in front of you — clearly another attempt to enciurage their guests to stand. Some seats don’t actually have the seat part, just in case we need even more encouragement! Finally, the Neptune really gives our asses a shove by avoiding any attempt to clean their theater. This and the dark certainly had me on my feet even before Dita hit the stage! The only half decent seats are at the tables BUT when we tried to upgrade our tickets we were told no way — we could PAY for table tickets even though they were not sold out. At the Neptune, it’s standing room only! l’m embarrassed I brought my friends here and shocked that Dita would perform at such run down, trashy place. In the future I will find an abandoned building or landfill to bring my friends to, confident ahead of time that we will see and expect the gross! Have the people giving stars for this place ever been out before?

I love music, theater, and live performances. Seattle is such a great place to see it all. However, not all venues are created equal and I cannot stand going to a place with poor acoustics. If I wanted to hear my favorite band played through a tin can, I don’t need to pay for that luxury. Thank God the Neptune is not one of these places! The sound quality for the shows I’ve seen here has been perfect! Some of this is the bands’ techies, but you don’t get to choose the physical structure of the place itself. Also, the best part of the place is the seats up in the balcony. It is nice not having to sit in the bar if don’t feel like standing for the entire show. I can relax comfortably and enjoy the show however I please.

This review is going to be subjective to the events I came to the venue for, rather than the venue itself(which isn’t anything special, other than its age): So far, I’ve come here for Carrie Brownstein’s book tour and Snarky Puppy. Both of which I will never forget and had a blast being a part of, therefore, the Neptune gets a full 5 stars for hosting these transcendent guests.

This is a great venue for shows! Sometimes when I’m deliberating about buying tickets, and I see that it’s at the Neptune, I usually go for it since the venue makes such a difference for Eastsiders heading to Seattle. It’s not as big as some show venues, but I’ve found that I’ve always been able to see the performance, main level and mezzanine, no matter where I sit or stand. There’s also a bar there, and an option to buy tickets/seats in the bar area for an additional fee. Neptune is also very accessible from 45th once you exit from I-5, and there is parking at nearby Hotel Deca if you can’t find street parking. The parking lot at HD for evenings has usually been about five bucks and is a short walking distance to the Neptune. Plus, the theme of this venue couldn’t be any cooler.

Went to the Neptune last night for a show. I’ve been there plenty of times, as I am a fan of live music. I ordered a Rainier can from the bar, and the bartender brought me an Olympia, which is not a big deal. When I let her know I had asked for a Rainier, she told me they were out of Rainier. I pointed to the fridge not 3 feet behind her, FULL of Rainier beers, obviously confused. She then got an attitude and told me to take the Olympia or I’d get nothing. If I’m paying $ 6 for a can of crappy beer, and paid $ 30 to see the show in the first place, it would have been nice to get what I ordered. Or, if there was a valid reason she wasn’t giving me what I ordered, at least let me pick what I’m drinking. Kind of a head scratcher, but definitely not cool.

I’ve seen some live podcasts here and there are some things about this venue that are bothersome. During one podcast, I couldn’t hear the performance because so many people were talking in the bar. This isn’t necessarily the venue’s fault but one of the staff members should have made them shut up. Also, it’s not the cleanest place in the world.

I still love this place. It feels like a step back in time. The Neptune gives you a great opportunity to see a band up close and personal. I have seen a talk radio show, a soft indie rock show, and a high energy rock show here and they all sounded great. This last visit we upgraded to the«Club» which gave us nice cushy seats, but that was really all it did. There are really no bad views here, even from the bar. No need for any more upgrades. The staff has always been very friendly.

While I previously had seen Caspar Babypants at this venue, I recently attended my first adult concert here and was blown away. It was a sold out show and I arrived late, but still managed to get parking cheaply 2 blocks away. The will call line did take a few extra minutes, but was virtually hassle free. Having been here before I was certain the best and only empty seats would be upstairs and hoped others would not find the not so accessible upper level. I was correct and ended sitting on the far side a few seats down from the back wall. Clearly this is not an ideal concert seat, but this seat was better than any at any of the larger venues. I felt really close to the stage the entire show and didn’t have to squint at all to see. The smallness of this venue really added to the energy of the artist. I would love to go to more shows here. I love how great the inside looks since the renovation, the neptune heads staring down at me truly add the experience. Plus I love that this venue has popcorn and multiple stall bathrooms. My only complaint is that many of the people coming upstairs in the middle of the show to look for seats seemed to have difficulty seeing the empty ones in the back with the lights down and ended up standing in my view for many minutes while they looked all around. It might be helpful to post a sign that says this is not a standing area.

The venue and the sound was ok she as in lianne LA haves sounded great venue it has a balcony but the main problem was a bartender issue: we got charged 90 $ bucks for two mexicana beers and 3 vodka= stoli & red bull I’m licensed to tend bar actively in this state my friend who came with me also a former bartender so we know that there is something wrong with our tab last night the bartender even gave us the wrong pour on one drink well vodka v. s stoli after tax and tip over 90 $ unfortunately we have had to contact the venue for a better explanation of this odd situation and overcharging of our drinks but other than that the staff was cool with me the bathrooms suck dirty and just weird if you are looking for the mirror it’s around the corner I’ll be back here for something I loved the popcorn*tip we emailed the venue about our insanity of a tab turns out they did credit our account 70 $ our tab was only 60 $+tip the bartender pulled a jack move like he was straight outta Compton! Glad we paid with a credit card and not cash thanks you Neptune for fixing the situation

It’s getting to the point where I kind of don’t want to go to shows unless they’re at The Neptune. The place has a few things going for it: 1) The bar area has a great view of the stage, so I can drink, enjoy the show and still see the stage! I love that it’s raised above the GA part. 2) A lot of people can fit, but it’s still quite an intimate venue. 3) It’s gorgeous. The interior is amazing with the stained glass. 4) They bring in some pretty big names. 5) They make a mean gin & tonic. And I love me a good g&t. I’ve only got love for you, Neptune. Keep on rocking on.

The Neptune has been on a ROLL for the last few years, getting great bands like the Faint, the Horrors, Mark Lanegan, and the Black Angels, and other stuff like Dave Chappelle and Kathleen Hanna. It’s beautiful inside, especially the mesmerizing stained glass windows of the god Neptune and his smokin’ girlfriend Amphitrite. The sound and lighting are quite good… seating is a bit limited, and the bar area can be cramped and feels kinda out of place to me, but I guess because there’s only so many ways you can convert a historic cinema space into a live music venue. Watch your step here, especially in the balcony; the floor has lots of unexpected little steps and slopes. Added bonus: short walk from here to all of the cool bars and restaurants on the Ave and Brooklyn.

I was here last night to see my girl«Tori Kelly» and this place did a great job with the sound system and lighting. The staff was very organized and followed through. There was a full bar going and just nice intimate crowd. This place is pretty small than what I’m accustomed to but I had a great time despite the heat. I can’t complain bcs my ticket was surprisingly reasonable. Yep! The only flipside, no beverages or food allowed in the theatre except theirs. LOL I was concerned that there was very little air circulating around this place bcs someone did pass out for a little bit. There was a little bit of a drama but it was taken care of quickly(thank you Neptune staff…) So, I think the key is to dress lightly as in dress in cool comfy clothing and make sure that I’m well hydrated when I go to see Live Music. It can get uncomfortably hot. As for parking, we all know that after 8pm, parking is free(plenty of parking) esp. on the weeknights. I’ll come back and for sure I’ll have a better experience.

We came for a concert recently and had the club tickets which was in 21+ over area with own seating and access to the bar. I’m mostly reviewing that part… The club was pretty squished — like about 6 rows of 12 seats(6 on each side with a tiny aisle in between) that was roped off. Pretty difficult to get in and out. I was under the impression when we got the tickets that the bar would be really close(like right behind the seats) but it was off to the back a bit. Not terribly far but just with the squished seating it made it more of a hassle. The seats itself were roped off but the 21+ section surrounding is it not so there were lots of people basically standing right behind and around the section. Not that ideal. The theatre itself is nice though — a good enough size. Sound was a little too loud at parts but I’m sure that’s due to the concert, not the venue. We did have someone terribly obnoxious sitting right behind us screeching for no apparent reason(while to be honest, everyone else sitting around us was mostly calmly enjoying the concert). Personally think if you’re going to be a teeny-bopper, the club seats aren’t necessarily for you but anyway that’s no knock on the venue :) Overall nice theatre, not sure if I’d splurge for the club seats again — would depend on the concert.

Tickets for the North Face | Greenland project were billed as $ 8.50 each, which we purchased on line via STG Presents. But we were charged two additional fees: $ 7.00 convenience fee $ 3.25 handling fee So rather than costing $ 17.00 total, we paid $ 27.25. I really hate it when pricing is so inaccurate, when hidden fees add up — particularly when the fees are this high a percentage of the total. Boo hiss! This is bad for The Neptune, and bad for STG Presents. Get your act together. 37.5% in fees is not truth in advertising — it’s misleading, worthy for reporting to the FTC.

Okay, I have to admit I’m high maintenance. I thought my days of walking on sticky bar floor in cramped spaces were over, along with my clubbing days. I went to the Neptune last night to see Dave Chappelle(who was awesome!) and the small venue worked out great, giving the show an air of exclusivity. My biggest gripe with this place is that I couldn’t get a clear view of the stage at all, which is fine for live music but annoying for standup shows. I had to contort my head and neck several different ways just to get a glimpse of Dave’s arms on the stage, it was harder than trying to see the Fourth of July fireworks out the window, around the corner from my apartment windows! Now do that for 2 hours and tell me you’re not frustrated. I was on the main floor, only two rows back from the club seating. My second biggest gripe was the poor stage lighting that seemed to be angled to shine directly into my eyeballs. The crowd control was also not very effective in directing the flow of traffic toward different entrances to make sure the line moved as fast and smoothly as possible. Once you enter the building, there was little direction on where to go to find your seats or spots during the show. Finding a seat was like finding the last flat screen TVs at Walmart on Black Friday, with people frantically trying to find the least crowded entrances to the auditorium. I love well maintained old, historical buildings, but I didn’t see the appeal of Neptune Theatre. Did someone move this building from San Francisco? Ugh. Sorry, that was unnecessarily snooty. My point is that this building could use a facelift and a deep cleaning.
