First time coming here, and I am very impressed with the level of detail, and pride taken in their work. The pedicure came with an actual massage, instead of just rubbing in lotion, and the banter while having the service was very good!

Called with only five minutes advance warning and still got me in no problem; a no frills shop but left with beautiful toes.

Just popped into this place on impulse. Lee and Ann are super nice, and very kind and courteous. I just got a pedicure, but the place was clean and and Lee was professional and caring. I was impressed and will be coming back… plus it’s a great deal.

I lived close and needed to get a white tip full set. So I decided to give them a shot. Well, first of all even she before she started she said it would be 10 $ more then advertised on their front door. Anyways, about the rating– I took 1 star off because if the shitty uneven job she did. The tips are completely crooked and the tips are different lengths. I took another star off because of the pain. I have had a few full sets put on and never has all the poking and prodding at my cuticles and actual finger tip skin hurt so much. I was almost in tears. And the last star off is because the price was way more($ 40 for a full set and gel finish) than I have paid, she took forever and was very inefficient, and she was not friendly at all(I would almost go as far to say she was rude, she asked for the money in the middle of it and that was like one of the only three things she said to me just as an example). To summarize it all, don’t go here, just one of these thing would have been ok but there are so many better places out there.

I feel sorta bad giving this place a less than stellar review, because the owners are very, very nice and friendly. I’ve gone here twice now — once for a fill, and today to get my acrylics soaked off. The main reason I chose this place is because it is within walking distance and I don’t have a car. The shop itself is not very inviting. It’s very outdated and a bit dirty and dusty, to be honest. There are polishes and creams in the display shelves that are caked in dust and have chemically separated. The nail polish selection is a bit lacking, with mostly just reds, pinks, and browns. Nail art displayed is very dated and unattractive. When I got the fill, I was charged about $ 7 more than I thought, just because I had a French tip added with a simple line drawn above it. She did a good job though so I was mostly ok with that. Today I was told my soak off would be $ 10, which is pretty standard. He soaked my nails and buffed the remaining acrylic off — albeit, with a very used buffer. I said I wanted my nails cut as short as possible, so he did. Then cuticle oil was applied and I was done. When it came time to pay, he said I owed $ 15 because he had to cut my nails down. I’m sorry, but in the over 10 years I’ve been getting my nails professionally done, I’ve never been charged to clip my nails shorter during a removal! Like I said, very nice couple, but the messy and unprofessional environment + ridiculous up charges will force me to bite it and walk farther elsewhere, or take the bus.

I’ve been going here for a couple of years, and they always do a great job. I’ve tried other nail places in Ballard in the same price range, and never get the same, long-lasting results. The couple that owns this place is very sweet and there is ample parking, usually including spots right out front. It’s by no means a fancy spa, but for people on a budget who want nice nails… well, go to Nice Nails! On weekends, especially in Spring/Summer, it’s in your best interest to call ahead(duh), but usually there is little-to-no wait. Prices: $ 20 pedi $ 25 shellac $ 15(I think) mani

My mom & I wouldn’t go anywhere else! Ann and her husband are so great and Ann is so talented, she’s been doing this for years so she is the definition of a nail salon professional. I can be kind of a baby and also really picky. I’m a younger hairstylist and I’m very stylish. She accommodates all my needs and I always know she’ll do a fantastic job. With some one who is constantly changing wardrobes and very into the latest styles, a sleek natural nail is a must for me and my busy lifestyle style. Treat yourself to beautiful nails and I swear it’ll brighten your week.

well i found this nail shop on a Sat. just trying to get a fill and basically fix the mess that was created by the last nail place(only 2 weeks a go) but i had already boken 2 nails by this point. There was no wait at all, very friendly couple. In a great location, and open 7 days a week. I have to say that i have found my new nail shop.
