Nordstrom Rack

I was so over my experience after just walking in the door. It felt more like Nordstrom «not on the rack». There were clothes everywhere: the floor, draped over equipment, barely hanging on hangers. And the clothes that were on hangers were not grouped or displayed well.
The prices are so hit or miss. It you love it odds are it’s still in the $ 100 range. Ugh.
Felt more like an overpriced indoor flea market. I’ll pass.

Come on ladies? Who doesn’t like the rack! Yes they trick you into thinking you are getting stuff from the flagship when it probably goes directly to Rack but who cares. If you put your time in you can get some gems. Always good for coats too.

This place has gone downhill since they first took over the old Toys-​R-​Us space. I almost wish it were still a TRU. :(
Before they had this awesome mobile pay option, where staff would walk back to the lines or through the store and CHECK YOU OUT THERE. It was awesome. The staff also seemed to be more plentiful AND helpful.
I couldn’t find anything for a gift for a man– and I combed this store. I looked at underwear, accessories, the luggage, tech stuff… I did end up buying children’s workout pants and a v-​neck t shirt, but only because I had a gift card. I feel like there a tons of better price and selection options for boys, and definitely for men.
Retains a few stars for decent beauty and women’s shoes, accessories, and clothing.

First time I’ve been in a Nordstrom Rack. There is a decent selection at pretty reasonable prices. They have a large shoe selection too, but seems like the shoes are still pretty pricey. I didn’t buy anything but only because I didn’t find anything I really liked. This won’t be a regular shopping place for me.

I was pleasantly surprised when Nordstrom Rack was added to Northgate Mall. I love the rack for everything from trendy fashions to major purchases. The only disappointment in this particular store? Plus size section is very small & hardly has anything worth buying. The shoe department is really large, but they lack is some sizes. But, I am glad their is a rack closer to home now. I’ll always be a Nordy’s Rack fan!

Fantastic values and even more so when they have an extra sale on red tags. Staff is always friendly, personable and able to provide fashion advice when requested. The staff go out of their way to show they care and show they live up to Nordstroms great service. Buying quality clothes sure pays off in the long run.

Decent selection and location — dropped one star for the hardest push on taking a bag that I’ve experienced anywhere.
Me: «I don’t need a bag»
Cashier: «Are you sure?»
Me: «yes»
Cashier: «We don’t charge for them»
Me: «No, thank you»
Cashier: «They’re bio-​degradable»
Me: «No, thanks»
Cashier: «but they’re made of corn starch»
Me: «and it’s still a waste and unnecessary»
Cashier: blank stare
Is this a Nordstrom policy — to convince people who don’t want a bag to take one? I wonder how long it takes the bag to bio-​degrade? Weird. On Earth day no less!

Worst customer service I have ever encountered. I called about an item being the wrong price and Wendy who answered the phone laughed at me and was extremely rude. I will never be returning to the store, learn customer service.

I like the Rack, but there wasn’t much of a selection for me when I came in.
I was looking for women’s clothing, specifically pants and a coat. They didn’t have any pants in my size, and the few coats were either overpriced or not my taste. However, I know it’s hit or miss regarding what will be available, depending on what gets sent to the Rack from the mother ship.
The store was really clean. It’s on the smaller size compared to the Rack locations in Lynnwood, Auburn and Tukwila.
I was offered help a few times and the staff were all friendly.
There’s plenty of free parking in the lot plus the nearby garage.

This Nordstrom is by far the best around. 10 times better than the Tacoma location. I love shopping at Nordstrom because it is so convenient there are always people there to help you whether it be set up in a fitting room or Fashion ideas, not that I am saying I will take their ideas for fashion most of the time LOL. They have the best return policy around, you don’t even need your receipt and they give it back to you however you want it. I love the café inside because who doesn’t want a nice latte while they’re shopping for cute clothes. Love Nordstroms

This location has both its pros and its cons, so I’m very ambivalent about it. It’s always very busy so it’s difficult to find a parking spot, they sell out of the smaller sizes very quickly, and there is always a very long line. However, the staff is always extremely friendly and willing to go out of their way to help me. So despite it being so busy I stop in every so often. The unfortunate thing is that I very rarely find something to buy since they are always so low on items in my size. Sigh. Maybe one of these days…

I like this location. It was my go-​to before the downtown remodeled/​moved. It is still bright and clean and pretty well organized. The people are helpful, but not overly so. The shoe section is pretty small.
I’ve never been in the store when it’s really busy, so check out is relatively fast. I’ve also never had a problem returning items that didn’t work out.

This location is probably the worst of NR’s collection of stores. Selection is just okay and customer service is also lacking. Parking here is terrible — tip: park in the JCP garage (entrance only in the middle of the lot — difficult to find but worthwhile nonetheless!) If you really want to find some gems you’re better off heading downtown to Westlake, or to Factoria in Bellevue. Southcenter is decent, but if I had to order them in the Seattle area it would go: Factoria, Westlake, Southcenter, Alderwood, Northgate.

I made a late night shopping trip in sweats. (I coach) A security guard followed me around the store!
He went back into the shoe department where I was and lingered around me. I then went to the middle of the store to women’s sale and he followed. He just stood near me. Then I made my way to the front of the store to look at more clothes. He was 5 feet from me! He thanked another customer walking through the door for coming in. When I finally left after feeling stalked he said nothing!!!
I WILL NEVER support that Nordstrom rack! There were other customers there and the security guard stayed near me the whole 15 minutes I walked around the store.
Disappointed. Angry. Upset. Hurt.

This is one of my favorite rack locations. So organized and clean compared to other locations. Less crowded too.
Designer clothes are a fraction of the cost? Yep, I am in. I always leave with something.
Never had an issue with customer service here.

Cannot say enough good things about the rack – I’ve been getting my dress shoes at Rack’s for the better part of a decade and I’m always amazed how I can find $ 400-​$ 500 men’s dress shoes for ¼ to ¹⁄₃ the price of Nordys! I recently discovered this place right after perusing the anniversary sale at Its full priced big brother at the other end of the mall…
I went from 6 to midnight when I found out they somehow had the latest model’s from the current anniversary sale for even less than the sale price! Bruno Magli, Maginini and of course my personal American made favorite: Allen Edmonds.
In short, I walked out the door with over $ 1700 in top brass dress shoes for about 400 Washington’s. I’m still semi-​aroused just thinking about it.

Was wanting to find some shoes for a youth and really didn’t know where this place was. Found a parking spot near the regular Nordstrom store, and I tell you, it took us a while walking the mall to even find a mall directory to find out this place was located at the end of the mall, down a flight of stairs, and having it’s own entrance from the main mall itself. I guess you don’t want to kill the shopping by having the entrance within the mall and everyone flocking here?
With every Nordstrom rack it is a hit or miss mentality you have to go in with, and don’t go in with any expectations of exactly what you are going to find. I was trying to find a pair of size 5.5 kids shoes, with no luck, but did walk around and see what else was in store. Even being able to find this pink and white striped pair of Ferragamo’s for my dear to try (no she didn’t buy!) while I continued to look around. This store is a bit less chaotic than the one located right in downtown where the people went through it like Black Friday, but also I find the quality and selection of goods at the downtown store better than this one.
Just be warned, if you are only coming here, find parking near the front door, cause if you’re parked at the mall, you are going to have to go back up the flight of stairs, through the mall, and back to the car. I guess location does play a part in the type of ‘stuff’ you get… keep expectations low people, and you may walk out with something.

I hate shopping for clothes but this place makes it a little more bearable.
I just bought some jeans that make my butt look amazing. When I feel up to it I need to go back and pick up some shoes so my feet look amazing.

Nordstorm Rack has to be my favorite go-​to haberdashery in Seattle.
* Tight-​fitting shirts, suits and jeans — yep.
* Sik ties — yep.
* High-​end Italian, British and American made leather dress shoes — yep.
I would estimate that 50% of my wardrobe is made up of brands I’d purchased at NR:
Burberry, Allen Edmonds, Ferragamo, Ben Sherman, Prada, Hugo Boss, Fendi, French Connection, English Laundry, Thierry Mugler, Comme des Garçon, Lanvin, Topman, Missoni, Moncler, Montblanc, Paul Smith, To Boot New York, Zegna, Vilebrequin, Versace, Tom Ford, Santoni, Ted Baker, Issey Miyake, Hérmes, Dolce&Gabbana, etc.
The staff is usually available for Q&A if I can’t locate what I’m looking for. Every week there’s a new shipment so I don’t feel like I’ve already seen everything there is to see every time I go in.
If your aesthetic is haute Euro business-​casual, this is a place that must be near the top of your list.

Should be called Nordstrom CRACK amirite?
Really great selection of clothes and shoes especially. The home and beauty section is not as large but still has some nice finds.
This location has lots of marked down wardrobe staples (Hue tights, 4Paix T-​shirts) as well as trendy, seasonal name brand merchandise. I have found great prices on some designer pieces that I would not normally have splurged on at full (or even regular sale) prices. I found a couple pair of Tommy Bahama pants for my husband that fit very well, for only $ 25/​each. Last season sure, but he doesn’t care!
The best part about this store is the SHOES. Large selection in just about every size you could want — I saw up to women’s ¹²⁄₁₃ and men’s ¹⁶⁄₁₇. Designer shoes such as Coach and Tory Burch although I have spotted some marked down designers in with the hoi polloi as well!
The ability to check out at a station with a roving saleperson is also a plus, although sometimes it is awkward when carrying a lot of stuff. Don’t judge my shopaholic ways!
