NYP Bar & Grill

I reached out to their «contact» section on their website to give them a chance to offer up at least an apology after a terrible brunch experience and never heard back. I’ll spare everyone the details, but long story short we arrived on Sunday morning to try brunch during a Seahawks game. We arrived 30 mins before the game started and put our order in promptly. We did not receive our meal until half time because their «computer system was down» and our waitress who walked by multiple times during this nearly 2 our time period (as we were seated right next to the server station) failed to notice we didn’t have our food until nearly an hour in and finally went to check only to say «oh it looks like the order didn’t go through do you want to order again?»… When our order was finally brought out only 1 meal was brought out the 2^nd meal did not come out until almost 15 minutes later and part of that meal was missing. As a sorry, they gave us one of the meals for free… needless to say after being frequent visitors of the happy hour here, we will not be back anytime soon.

I love watching Seahawks games here! From the very beginning, with the easy parking in the garage (free!!) to the very end, we always have a great experience here. Bottomless mimosas for $ 15… the service is good, especially for how busy they are on game days. The worst part is trying to decide what to eat! I always try to get something different and have yet to be disappointed. Morgan, who bar tends on weekends is a rock star. She handles the bar and restaurant drink orders on her own, and the place is packed with thirsty Seahawk fans! We are always served with a smile no matter how busy or overwhelmed our server has been. Great happy hour as well. Just a great casual place to hang out and get some good grub.

Good for late night eats when nothing else is open but is nothing special. The veggie pizza is decent but was a little undercooked.

Pleasantly Surprised!!! Came in expecting «bar» food but left without the grease! Their food was not at all greasy and they locally source their ingredients for quality.
We came in for HH because it looked to be a good variety of food items to choose from. We ordered the clam chowder, Caesar salad, calamari, pepperoni pizza, and the lava cake for dessert. All of it was really good and the portion sizes are a great value. It was surprising of what quality we received for the price. The clam chowder was full of herbs, spices, clams, & veggies. Not starchy at all & full of flavor. The pizza was awesome, they make their own dough. The salad was a full portion and was fresh! Calamari had well seasoned breading with a yummy dipping sauce. The dessert, oh yes, the lava cake that was more lava than cake :). I hate it when places make a dry lava cake with barely any lava. This cake was oooozzing lava and paired well with the separate bowl of vanilla ice cream. It was like eating a hot fudge cake.
Service was also friendly, courteous, & quick. We didn’t have any problems with the ladies that served us. The bar is cool too with TV screens to watch the game. A fun place to just hang out with great food!
We are totally coming back.

The first time I went there the food was really good. Great nachos for a «pizza bar». So I came back to get the nachos to go, even called in ahead of time. I got there to pick up my nachos, the hostess acknowledged me, then went back to the bar. She kept me sitting there for 45 minutes until I had to go back to the bar to request my nachos. Turns out they had been ready the whole time, but the hostess couldn’t figure out who they were for. She then gave me the cold nachos at full price, refusing to cook new nachos. The result, food poisoning. I had a fever, dehydration, and poop that looked alien green the next day. Thanks New York pizza bar!!! You almost had a decent thing going with the nachos, now I understand why it is always empty in there, terrible service.

Came here on a weeknight for a bite to eat.
Food was good, staff attentive.
It was very cold inside, felt like the ac was on even though it was in the 30’s outside.
I ordered a bun-​less burger with a side salad and my friends ordered a burger with fries and a steak salad. The food was good, they lettuce wrapped my burger and the dressing came on the side, added bonus. We ordered a brownie for dessert; it is made with walnuts and comes with two pieces including ice cream.
We hug out here for some time and our server came around to check on us frequently, she was friendly and kept our drinks refilled the entire time.
Parking is available in the underground QFC garage. (Yay). Take the elevator to street level, exit and walk around to the entrance.
They do offer bottomless mimosas for brunch on the weekends for $ 15! That alone is worth coming back for.

I went here after doing a Room Escape adventure close by. We sat outside and there were probably around 10 people with me. The service was very good, our waitress was the only one serving us and she had a great attitude and was very patient with us. Unfortunately, the food was bad. DO NOT get the prosciutto here, it tasted old and it just flat out was not very good. I would say the pizza is below average to Seattle standards, and with the hefty price tag on their items, I don’t think I will be coming back. I would suggest maybe coming here for happy hour? The restaurant itself is really cool and is definitely worth coming for watching a sports game and enjoying some beers.

Was here during a Seahawks game in the family section. It looked like there were only three or four other parties around and three servers, but it still took about 10 minutes to get our waters served in the beginning. The service got a little better later on. Pizza was alright. The bottomless fries were the only thing that was really worth it.
We had a voucher for a free pizza, but the waitress still charged us for it. Sadly, we didn’t realize this had happened until after we had left since we were in a hurry to beat game traffic. :(

Came in here for a drink. The service was less than stellar. The waitress took her sweet time to seat us. Afterwards, we waited another 20 minutes before getting our drinks. The drink seem like it was watered down.

Beware of bad service from disgruntled employees! In a recent visit I overheard employees chatting about boss not paying bills and hoping they aren’t on the list to not get paid. They didn’t sound happy … And our service was very slow because they seemed to be distracted by this. Good luck!
Went back because my mother likes noisy places with poor service. It lived down to our previous visits. I’m not one to stiff the waiter on a tip but I had a difficult time justifying even a 5% tip for his slow, indifferent service.

Probably some of the worst service we have received in a LONG LONG time.
A bunch of my friends and myself got together and were doing an event later that afternoon. before hand we figured we would go in and stop at this «pub» to grab a bite to eat. upon entrance to this pub I was refreshed with its atmosphere and modern take on a pub. However upon seating myself I learned very quickly that this is not going to be a good experience for any of us.
Our server that was assisting us that afternoon seem to be intoxicated at best. He couldnt remember anything from what we ordered to our drinks we had placed. He couldn’t even remember it long enough for it to be placed in the computer before. He seriously had to revisit the table approximately three times to remember what the order was before you can actually place in the computer. By this time we realized that our group is going to be too large to be sitting in the section that we originally were sitting in and requested to sit in a larger section. This was apparently a mistake because it took forever for our server and any of the restaurant workers to realize that we were waiting to be sat in a different spot with 3 to 4 people still standing aside our table (waiting to find room) once we were finally moved our server moseyed on over and slurrishly asked us what our drinks were again. At this time I became extremely infuriated and noticed that he was too incompetent to handle the table. In the midst of trying to find the restaurant manager I noticed that there were other tables complaining about him. Once we finally found the manager and explained the situation the manager started scrambling to put everything together as he has now been placed with three tables one of which was mine (a large group). We then began to ask the manager if they were going to be able to service our drinks and food in a timely manner as we have a specific location to be at at a specific time; the manager calmly said yes however that proved to be a different situation as the clock rolled by and we ended up having to walk out without our food and without paying for what we had been served. The manager politely accepted responsibility for the situation and told us that it was no problem for us to leave without paying however you could see the frustration on his face as there was about 10 of us that were extremely upset with the service we had received.
I will never return to this establishment and I will not refer anyone to go there!

Food was good. Had the pizza on menu. Bartender was good until she started hitting on a guy at the end of the bar. After that there was zero service… Wow! Could be a good place to drop by but they lost my business.

Nice place, it has nothing to do with classic NYP. Bar tender certainly has some sense of humour :)
They made me waiting for 15 minutes for unclear reason on Sunday evening. When I walked in the bar was empty…
But overall, looks like a good social place with a decent choice of drinks. Steak Alfredo is a thing to try there.

Seattle doesn’t usually get too warm in the summer time, but it has been a bit warmer this summer and I felt like inside a dungeon here. I was sweating so much. If it wasn’t for the fact that nothing else was open nearby on July 4^th, I would not have eaten here. They were really busy, but it was also inexcusable for 2 different waitresses fail to give us plates. It got to the point we were eating pizza without plates and ready to make a mess. The food itself was okay, nothing too special.

We were having a blast watching Lebron and Stephen Curry battling it out. Before half time, our server stopped checking to see if we needed anything. We thought it was weird. We got her attention and asked what was the issue? She said we were cut off. Were we spilling our drinks? Nope. Were we causing problems with other patrons? Nah. Were we cheering too ecstatically? Maybe? My friend just got here and he hasn’t had a drink so that must have been it. We talked to the manager about our mistreatment. He listened to us but didn’t seem to care.
They were so worried about us being intoxicated but stopped bringing water for us to hydrate? Why? That’s not cool. We paid our bill including tips before the game finished.
The situation left a bad taste. I’m disappointed that our mistreatment ruined a great time with friends while watching the NBA finals. I hope things improve because happy hour here is decent!

Decided to give them another shot because I was craving their food for Easter. Yes a place called NY Pizza Bar is an odd thing to want for brunch, but their brunch offerings are so good I couldn’t help it — and my cousin and her husband live close-​by so I wanted to introduce them to this place. I love that they have the bottomless mimosa as a drink option for brunch. unfortunately this meant some pretty loud patrons during our meal. I had the northwest scramble — I am so happy they use real smoked salmon and not lox (bleh!) in this scramble of goat cheese, spinach, and mushrooms. The options for sides were fruit or potatoes — I got the fruit and was not disappointed. I was expecting the usual melon/​orange/​grape assortment but was pleasantly surprised by the large serving of strawberries, bananas, and orange wedges — all ripe and delicious. What a great way to end the meal.
This time around the water jug was always refilled before I could notice it being empty and the manager made rounds to help the single server running around the whole restaurant. They seemed a bit backed up as the food took a while to come out, but all in all a much better experience. I will come back for those sliders another day!

I’ve been here several times for both lunch and happy hour. I’m not too impressed with their lunch as I find the food mediocre and often bland. On the other hand, the salad is doused with dressing making it very soggy. Also, the service is kind of slow for lunch.
However, it’s a big sports bar in lower Queen Anne with lots of varieties for happy hour food and drinks. Although I’m not a chicken wing person, I hear that they have excellent buffalo wings.
Overall, a good atmosphere if you want to relax, have a small snack after work, and watch whatever sports game is on. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re in a rush or looking for quality food. Also, vegetarian menu is limited.

Not a bad place for happy hour. They have an extensive happy hour food and drink menu. They cheapness of the HH items tricks you into ordering way too much, but that’s how they make their money, right?
I ordered the wings and artichoke dip. The artichoke dip serving was laughably small. Get it for one person. If you’re planning on sharing, make sure you order other things too. The boneless wings were tasty and served piping hot. Not anything special or unique, but it certainly satisfied a craving.
The happy hour cocktail choices are all a bit fruity and sweet, but damn they’re strong (which is all that matters to me).
Its not the hippest place for a late night happy hour but its not a bad place for a few quick, cheap drinks and food.
