Have to say I’ve never had better customer service! Quang made a special stop by my home town to deliver a special order(while he was on vacation). Excellent quality! Love my items! Will make a point to stop by omzappy whenever I’m in Seattle, and will be talking about this business & sending friends for a long time to come!

Love this store! Great variety of seasonal imports from Nepal and India. Kuan was very friendly. He helped me pick my first hand made singing bowl and I absolutely love it. I also love the tapestry I purchased there as well — such vibrant colors!

This place is amazing. Definitely shop here if you are looking for Tapestry. They also have some cute clothes, bags, and jewelry. The owner gave me 20% off for just trying out the store. Great customer service. Every thing is fair trade here. Please support and shop at this store.

I went to Om Zappy for the first time to buy a singing bowl. The store is well layed out with several different items and the owner is very nice. I never had the opportunity to play a singing bowl before but the owner gave me a quick lesson and I had them singing in no time! He encouraged me to test out all of the different bowls and to take as much time as I wanted in order to find the perfect one. I ended up finding the perfect bowl as well as another item, specifically a hand carved and painted wall mounted Ganesh. The owner is very friendly and seemed to enjoy engaging in conversation about various topics. He even recommended a specific incense and the best way to burn it. Overall I was very pleased with the shop and my experience and I will definitely be back to Om Zappy in the future.

Jade showed me how to make a singing bowl sing!!! I went in wanting to get a singing bowl but I didn’t know how to get the sound to carry past the first tap with the mallet. Jade encouraged me to practice and try out as many bowls as I wanted. I tried and tried but frustration set in so I gave up. Jade went above and beyond to help me figure out how to make the bowls sing. She showed me how she was holding the bowl and applying the pressure with the mallet, told me to breath, tried to figure out what she was doing differently than I, gave me encouragement, told me helpful stories and let me practice until I got it. She was excited for me when I finally did. I didn’t find the bowl that I felt was right for me but I bought the mallet that I learned with. It’s great to get genuine customer service even if a major purchase doesn’t take place.

Great shop on 45th just around the corner from University Ave. Went there specifically looking for a tapestry to hang on a large wall after reading others reviews. Owners just recently received a large shipment of tapestries from India. All beautiful, I bought several. The owner provided great customer service and was so patient and engaged when helping me find just the right tapestry for my space. I had been to other spots on the Ave where the owners weren’t nearly as friendly and selection was so overwhelming and wasn’t nearly as quality. I found just what I was looking for at Om Zappy. I encourage everyone to check it out, I’ll definitely be back.

My girlfriend and I were referred here after seeing a super beautiful Ganesh tapestry hanging at a friend’s house. First, many(all?) the products they carry are hand picked during the owners’ trip to Tibet. The handmade singing bowls are purchased directly from the refugees and go to support them. The clothing is beautiful. Tapestries are so gorgeous. The handbags are all so cute… Second, and most importantly though, the owners Quang and his wife Tenzin are the sweetest most helpful awesome store owners I’ve ever met. At every turn they were able to tell me about the products in their store and were always so accommodating with my inability to make decisions(even so much as helping me with an exchange months after my purchase). Anyone that comes over and sees our yoga matts and singing bowl and incense and shows even the slightest bit of interest is pointed straight to OmZappy :) Namaste, you beautiful souls.

Full of heart and it shows. The place just glows with color and warm vibes! Get all my bags here — fantastic construction on them. Great range of color & styles of bags, clothes, jewelry — just a visual feast! The owner was just as kind back when the store was on 65th/Roosevelt. Very good prices — don’t bother with Etsy & internet — see and feel things in person. Support local business who have integrity. Thank you!

Truly a great store. I went in looking for some fabrics for my wall decorations and the stuff there is beautiful. It’s all hand made, free trade, and good quality fabric. The woman who owns it is very sweet, and very helpful. I was having a tough time deciding and she helped me out, letting me lay them out and choose the best color combinations. Plan to go back soon!

I love their variety and quality, but I especially love the owners. I stop in every chance I get when in Seattle, and also when they market at a festival in Idaho. They are listed as selling women’s clothing, but I also love their shirts and pants for men. They even had a couple of jackets made for me by a supplier. They are wonderful people!

This is a great shop near UW to find clothing, jewelry, hats, purses, and other unique gifts. The owner is very sweet and very helpful. I highly recommend coming here for gifts– they have something to please everyone. I couldn’t believe how affordable the earrings were as well as the handmade crafts. This is a great place to come and support a local business while buying eco-friendly and fair trade items made mostly by Tibetan refugees. Buy local. Think global!

This is a little gem tucked into the U district neighborhood off of 45th Ave. The kind owners also have a little store off of Roosevelt Way in one of the most amazing corners of Seattle, close to Whole Foods Market, East West Books, and Ten Thousand Villages. The store is beautiful and carries a wide array of reasonably priced jewelry and clothing, Tibetan singing bowls, tingshas, prayer flags, small statues of Buddha and Ganesh, and fine tapestries. You can find all kinds of gifts and fun little pieces of the East and the big plus to shopping here is that you are supporting a local business who in turn is supporting a global movement to keep Tibetan culture alive. This is most definitely one of my favorite shops in Seattle. Share the love and shop here!
