I didn’t know Plum had a counter style version in the Armory, but what a nice discovery! Having moved from Los Angeles, I miss the abundance of acai bowls and they have a Chocolate Banana Acai Bowl here! It’s decent sized for $ 7 and I like how they put granola at the bottom and top so you don’t run out of crunchiness at the end. I only wish they used fresh strawberries instead of strawberry sauce, but it still tastes good. The Mama Africa Salad tastes just like the restaurant. It’s bigger than it looks stuffed in the to go container, but I still think it’s kinda small for the half portion $ 6.99.

For those of us who work at Seattle Center frequently, Plum is a welcome oasis of healthy, vegan food in the Armory Food Court. My favorite are the protein bowls… choose your grain, legume protein, greens and dressing from an assortment of quinoa, garbanzos, kale, carrots and brussels sprouts. The dressings are quite good, especially when mixed in with everything else. They also have a nice selection of quiche, tarts and desserts. Because their foods are made in small batches, they occasionally run out of things. I’m willing to forgive them on this, given the challenge they have running a health food stand in the middle of Seattle Center. I’m very glad to have Plum around, especially when I need a break from pizza and burritos!

I like the look of the place, and the fact that there are healthy vegan options in the food court. They didn’t have the ingredients for the peanut butter milkshake when we were there. We got an Oreo brownie bar, which was tasty, and a Mexican-inspired flatbread, which was underwhelming and overpriced. The woman who heated up the slice forgot about it and left it in the oven too long, so it was dark brown by the time we ate it. It wasn’t too busy at the time, she was just cleaning a bit, not helping other customers, so I’m not sure if why that happened. I’m in the minority in that I actually like that they charge for cups, since I really think people should be forced to think about the plastic they consume, and that this sort of thing encourages people to carry reusable water bottles.

I had the pleasure of eating here when I was visiting Seattle. I had the Quinoa Wrap and Marshmallow Brownie. Both were delicious and healthy.

Jerk tofu and yam sandwich was delicious. I got a green ginger juice as well as an orange-carrot juice, and I loved both of them. I also got a cookie which was average to good. Not the most amazing food, but it’s pretty convenient to have a vegan place in the Armory, so I’ll probably come again.

This is the best food-court food ever. Vegan and organic combinations that made my mouth water. Great salads and inventive, interesting sandwiches are an every-day occurrence here. And their fresh juices and smoothies are mind blowing. Plum Pantry is my go-to place at Seattle Center.

After being so disappointed by Meat Pies, I decided to try Plum for the first time. I am going to to say, I made a bad choice. Chipotle Setan sandwich. Mushy and sour flavor. I am not a fan of setan. The lemon vinegrette on the salad was nice. I will have to try something else, next time.

So I just ordered a «summer berry blast» and It is lacking strawberries and blackberries which are both mentioned in the menu as main ingredients. When I asked about it, staff replied«we don’t have it.» In a not so pleasant tone. That’s it. No apologies at all! And that’s it, your 1 star rating and a promise for not coming back to your store. I also regret the $ 1 tip I put on the bill.

We have been coming here for years and, unlike the restaurant on capital hill, this place was friendly and had top quality food with(shall I dream it) free water! Now greed has taken over and the place has changed, after asking the orderer if we can get water she snootily said you have to pay $ 2 for a 16oz bottle and directed us to the public water for fountain at the end of the armory, I’m sorry did paying $ 16 not good enough to get a cup of water on a 90+ degree heat? The food is ok we had the jerk tofu and yam sandwich with is as fair, before they had real yam on the sandwich now they put on a cheap yam paste … Baby food like texture and the brownie with was way to dry where that free water would have come in handy. They used to have lunch boxes where you got a sandwich, salad and a cookie and that is even gone. I can’t say when we will come back but I’d probably won’t be for a while

Went to grab a snack to share with my sweet Crow. We are pretty regular customers so when we asked for a cup of water to go with our sandwich, we were totally shocked when they told us of a drinking fountain somewhere in the Armory. Really??? On one of the hottest days in Seattle??? This is a new low for this place. It’s not like it’s cheap fast food(oh wait, you get free water at those places). Grrrrr. The counter person was rude and unhelpful, was really hoping for a bit of comfort from what used to be one of our fav places by the Needle. Oh well, sorry Plum Pantry, your turning into as much of a pretentious little place as your mama bear Plum Bistro. Laters.

We wanted to like it because it’s vegan and organic. The cookies are good but the rest of the food was oily and so-so. I’m not sure why but the Mac and yeast gave my husband and I a headache for the second time. We thought it was a coincidence the first time. We probably won’t come back because the service was also not so good. They gave us water cups very reluctantly and told us we need to go fill it up at the water fountain. And they told another group they couldn’t even have water cups. For the prices, you’d think water cups wouldn’t be a big deal. It’s a shame since we thought it’d be the healthiest option in the armory.

I paid $ 35 for lunch and they won’t give me water. Wanted 50 cents for a water cup told me to walks half way through the Armory to fill a drinking fountain. Time to rethink your business model.

I was at the Seattle Center looking for lunch options and wandered into the Armory. After strolling around and checking out everything I ended up at Plum Pantry — a vegan place. Local, organic, sustainable… What’s not to like? The service was great. The guy behind the counter worked with me to narrow down a protein rich bowl as I had no idea what I wanted beyond the mango and mint smoothie. I ended up picking a quinoa and chick pea bowl with roasted yams and spinach, topped with a tasty pesto sauce and dried cranberries. OMG was it good. The roasted yams were delicious — soft with a slight caramelised flavour. Both quinoa and chickpeas were perfectly cooked. The pesto sauce was thick, very fresh tasting, and dolloped on copiously. Plus it was a decent sized bowl. The smoothy could have used a smidge more mango and a bit more processing to chop up the mint. However, it was still very tasty and light. Everything was freshly assembled with good ingredients and the service was friendly and timely. Definitely interested in returning next time I’m in Seattle.

I really wanted to like this place. The cute presentation of the food at this standalone food stall initially drew me to it. All of their food is vegan and organic. The descriptions of the food sounded pretty good, so I decided to give them a try. I got the Tofu Sandwich with beat spread and veggies. It came with two sides, so I got the wild rice, and kale with potatoes. To put it simply, everything tasted awful! I’m not opposed to tofu, but something about this sandwich tasted really off. Not to mention it was super dry! I guess I should’ve guessed it would be dry, since the sandwich was sitting out on a platter for who knows how long. The wild rice had absolutely no flavor, and I felt like I was eating bits of cardboard. I will definitely not be coming back here.

For a food court, this rocks. Vegan fare and fresh juice? Hell yeah. And while the only things I sampled were a pastry and fresh juice, they were both tasty. The menu here is fairly extensive, with lots of pretty damn healthy items. Quinoa bowls, sandwiches, etc. It all looks good in the glass case, and the juices themselves are quite tasty. If only every food court could have something this healthy and tasty!

My husband and I visited Plum Pantry in the Seattle Center Armory for lunch with a Groupon deal. We got two«box lunch specials,» which carry a standard price of $ 25, for $ 14. The«box lunch special» comes with a choice between four sandwiches/wraps, two salad dressings over greens, and several basic cookie/brownie options. First and foremost, I am delighted by the presence of a vegan eatery in the Armory food court. As a vegan, I am accustomed to very limited choices in food courts. The place looks modern and attractive. It is divided into two counters: at one counter, you order and can get cookies and juices. At the other counter, you can see pre-cooked foods and get your sandwiches and other food prepared. I admit that the layout is a bit confusing, as there are menus with different items at each counter. In fact, when I walked up to order, I was not even certain that the second counter was part of Plum. The service, however, was not great. It was extremely slow, although there were two people working at the ordering counter(in addition to two people at the cooking counter). In fact, no one even made eye contact with me until I was ready to order. My husband and I both had the«jerk tofu and yam sandwich,» which was quite tasty. The only options for dressing on our green salads were balsamic and a lemon dressing. I liked the balsamic, but my husband did not care for the lemon. The peanut butter cookie I got tasted a little stale. I would definitely not have paid $ 25 for these two meals, but with the $ 14 Groupon, I would say it was reasonable.

I was refused to use my groupon during Bumbershoot. When I asked the cashier why the gal said«I don’t know». So I asked for a manager but no manager was around. She called over another girl who said«Ya we can’t take them». I again ask why and she said«because the owner told us not to». Great customer service ladies. I will not try this place again based on the lack of communication and poor customer service. Got a refund from Groupon. Communicate better with your staff. The service might not have been as bad if they had any clue as to why they couldn’t take the groupon. Also I would highly recommend hiring people that smile.

I’m sad to hear so many people had bad customer service experiences here because mine was pretty good! I came during Bite of Seattle and the man took the time to make some recommendations for me and was really nice. It wasn’t crowded and he got to work making me a kale-sweet potato-farro bowl immediately. The grain bowl was great! The sweet potatoes were nicely seasoned and flavorful. I’ve really enjoyed Plum Bistro in the past and Plum Pantry is no exception to my love for the Plum family!

Wow, seriously the Mama Africa salad was the BEST vegan salad I’ve had. It was so good that I didn’t miss eating meat. Flavors were complex, textures were complex, sauces really tied everything together. The salad contained long tempeh slices, avocado, almonds, quinoa and millet mix, over mixed greens. The dressings were a tangy lemon vinaigrette and mustard aioli. Perfect blend of tart and sweet. I loved the fresh orange slices as well. Good thing I don’t live in Seattle otherwise I’d be here every day! :) A full sized salad was only $ 9 for a large bowl. Highly recommended!

I ordered the Jerk Tofu and Yam Sandwich box lunch that came with a choice salad and dessert. I chose the mixed green salad with balsamic dressing(other dressing option is lemon) and the peanut butter cookie. Vegan and fresh ingredients? No hesitation. I pretty much inhaled the food, it was that good. About the location: it’s pretty prime due to it being inside Seattle Center and therefore close to so many neat museums to check out. I would definitely come again and try other items off their menu. If not here, than at another Plum location.
