The food is pretty good, and all made in house. Biscuits, scones, and others are all good, with tasty flavor combos. The coffee is well made too. The place is comfortable, with various tables and chairs(of varying heights), and the atmosphere is relaxing. The staff is always friendly. Parking can be a bit tricky, as the side streets are narrow. There is no wifi, so be prepared to bring your own. Many people walk here and cross 85th on foot, which is a bit scary to watch sometimes.

By far my favorite coffee shop in Seattle! It has such a local, homey feel, and the coffee and baked goods are always fresh and incredibly tasty. They make some killer yogurt and granola that you shouldn’t pass up. The large south-facing windows make it an excellent place to sit down with a good book and cup of coffee, providing plenty of natural light – even on a rainy day. The ladies behind the counter are always so warm and pleasant to talk to and have really put their hearts into making this Greenwood treasure a wonderful place to visit.

A checklist to bring with you to Preserve & Gather: Cinnamon toast that tastes more like a moist cinnamon roll. Check. Dark chocolatey, but silky sweet cocoa with a homemade marshmallow & cocoa art. Check. Perfectly pickled carrot, egg, asparagus, beets with house-made crackers. Check. Yum!

15sec Review: DEFINITELY will return! Coffee — delicious. I ordered a decaf Americano. Super flavorful, perfectly bitter. Cookie — AMAZING! Ordered a Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip. Crunchy & gooey all in the same cookie.

Came back to try their baked goods, so I’m updating my review! Baked goods: — Ricotta cake: moist, delicious, perfect. — Earl grey tea cake: dry, not delicious, imperfect. — Chocolate chip walnut cookie: amazing. So, SKIP the earl grey tea cake & opt for something else. Still giving them 5 stars because they serve some of the best cold brew in the city. And I still think the interior is cute af! Also, I’m pretty sure this place is dog-friendly! :-)

My new favorite location. Wonderful atmosphere, delicious snacks and treats, excellent coffee, impressive young owners. My only complaint is that it can feel quite warm at times.

Great open space with a laid back atmosphere and lots of incredible pastries and small plates to choose from in addition to a thoughtful coffee and tea menu.

Nice, but no wifi and aside from window seats, not great reading light. Good for a quiet light breakfast or a coffee date, not so much for work or study time.

I’m writing an updated review(which I don’t do often) because they deserve it! I’ve been consistently visiting Preserve & Gather because I’m constantly surprised at every pastry/drink/toast I try! Every little thing they have on their menu is unique in its flavor and you can definitely tell its from their original homemade recipes. I’ve tried their pickled egg toast for the first time today, and I must say I was not expecting much. I mean, how good can a egg toast get? I mean, don’t get me wrong, I LOVE egg salads. After my first bite of their egg salad toast, they have won me over. Definitely a must try if you are stopping by here! Other than that, my usual go-to items will be their almond Capp, peanut butter cookies(a must as well if you’re a cookie lover like me!), and their yogurt!(Any kind of their yogurts is pretty darn good, it’s just your pref). Now, I’m pretty sure I’ll be getting their egg toast on a regular basis :-)

They’ve still got a couple kinks to work out but the breakfast options are delicious. The style of this little place is wonderful and staff is friendly. I’m excited to try their pickled options next time. The Pear Chai Butter is very tasty and unique. A must try.

I love this place and everything in it. The coffee is always on point, and the treats are as beautiful as they are delicious. I would recommend the lemon bars and the peanut butter cookies. They have also started making cold brew which is smooth and refreshing on a warm day. The owner, Kayla, is a sweetheart and is always there working her buns off. Stop in, you won’t regret it!

Really cute place but no Wi-Fi and uncomfortable seats. The coffee and ricotta toast were very good but not worth the trip on their own. This place is nice if what you’re looking for is someplace to sit and chat or read the paper or a book for a short while. Packing up and heading to Miro now to get some work done.

Get the yogurt and granola! I came in on a slow Saturday afternoon. I ordered an 8oz soy latte and their yogurt with granola. The yogurt was deliciously tart and went well with the honey and granola. The granola is house made and has hazelnuts and dried figs in it. Delicious. The reason why I only gave this place 3 stars is the coffee, the unfriendly and slow baristas, and the lack of wifi. Let’s get the easy one out of the way. There is no wifi, and the barista made it sound like they had no plans on getting wifi in the future. Minus one. Second, the baristas were not friendly. I barely got a smile from either of them, let alone a hello or goodbye. On top of that, their service was painfully slow. It took about 10 minutes for them to make my latte(I had time to find a seat, switch seats to be in the sun, use the bathroom, read several pages of my book, and eat almost all my yogurt before my drink was ready). If you don’t have time to be friendly because you’re making my coffee so fast, then I am a happy customer, but in this case, the baristas were unfriendly AND slow. WhenI finally got my latte, it was ugly(see picture), the espresso was weak, and the barista somehow managed to burn the soy milk. I tried to stir it up to make it more drinkable, but in the end I couldn’t finish it. Maybe I went on a bad day, but I don’t think this place deserves anything close to a five star review. Hoping that it shapes up and the baristas learn what it means to provide good customer service. I want to come back and have a better experience.

I’ve spent several years in the Bay Area, significant time in Midwest cities, Boulder and Denver Colorado, and a bit of time in New York. The aesthetics here are unlike other cafes in Seattle, and most other places in general — it feels like a quiet friendly airplane landed in my neighborhood. The best description of it I can muster is Scandinavian-Californian yet simple and unassuming in the best Seattle kind of way. The incredibly large windows face south, so even on the grayest days there is a feeling of light through the whole café. No internet… I like it! And I say this as someone who is not an addict, but like most people these days is used to constant online access. But there is a sense of peace and activeness here that’s different from other spots. If you really need internet I suggest picking up karma wifi if you can afford it, or just download what you need beforehand(I just realized it has sort of made me organize my work better, haha). Really it’s just nice having the option to go somewhere nice without internet, since literally all the other spots have it. Because it’s worth coming here. For the really unique and well crafted menu, and just the feeling. I personally love the toast with apricot jam and chickpea-sweet potato salad. I’m a tea drinker and appreciate that the tea is just as fresh tasting the second steep around. I’m going to try a third steep some time! Haha this has gotten long. Maybe because I’m sad I’m leaving the neighborhood and won’t be around as much. Enjoy this gem, Greenwood!

Barista made me a flat white, fulfilling a craving I’ve had for ages. The baked goods are delicious and not your regular the mill stuff. We’re talking homemade pop tarts, chocolate oatmeal cookies, bacon and cheese scones… just to name a few. Great relaxing atmosphere and not a lot of foot traffic. My new go-to coffee shop.

The vibe in this place is awesome. I’ve tried pretty much everything at this point, and haven’t been disappointed. My faves are the manchego scone and the ham and jams! Must try the cardamom mocha as well. Best neighborhood café in Greenwood.

I love conduit coffee and they have it here! All their baked goods are amazing. I can’t but help getting a toaster pastry when I’m here, they’re so flaky and delicious! These girls know what they’re doing. Can’t wait to go back

Great café. Just like the name says it’s a great place to gather with friends(and the preserves are great!) the space is very relaxing and the staff is awesome. They picked a great coffee roaster and know their stuff when it comes to espresso. Also the baked goods are out of sight. Try the ham and jam biscuit, you won’t be disappointed. And get a peanut butter cookie!

So glad to have this place in the neighborhood. It’s a beautiful space to meet a friend for lunch, or grab a quick coffee and pastry. The food is awesome! Such interesting things to try. The Pickled Egg Salad will change your perception of egg salad. The Chocolate Beet Cake will blow your mind.(How can a root vegetable taste so good?). Do your tastebuds a favor, and check out any of the interesting items on the menu.
