Stopped for some lunch before the Boat Show; was drawn to their advertisement for gluten-free options. Although they do not offer gluten-freer sandwiches, the risotto with mushrooms and Italian sausage was excellent!!! Paired with a glass of Pinot Gris, it was the perfect blend of flavors. The service was spot-on; we will return on future Seattle visits!

Yesterday, I tried Radici for a quick business lunch and it did not disappoint. I was really surprised by the quality of the food for the price. I wouldn’t call this perfectly authentic Italian, but it definitely carries the Italian name better than most similar establishments I’ve been to, and they can get you in and out quickly to boot. I tried a cold cauliflower salad first, which was surprisingly awesome. My boss ordered it for the table and I was really expecting something warm – instead it was a cold mix of roasted cauliflower, chickpeas, and perfectly cooked orzo that really added to the texture. It was a really cool mix of textures and flavors. The dish was what I imagine all«healthy» food is aiming to be, but this one actually captured all the texture and flavor of a vegetarian dish with some unusual ingredients in a way that I’d be down to experience again(and that’s saying something.) I also tried their spinach linguine in a gorgonzola cream sauce, and it was superb. It was the first time I’d ever tried a spinach based pasta and actually tasted the spinach – this may be the result of the product being made in house – and it was lovely. The fresh garden-esque taste of the spinach perfectly countered the heavy saltiness of the gorgonzola cream sauce and the marriage of the two flavor profiles made this a really lovely experience. To top it off, we were in and out in 40 minutes and my pasta was something like $ 11. In Seattle, that’s a pretty sweet price tag and the timing made me confident that were I to need a quick lunch between business meetings, Radici would accommodate it smoothly. Definitely recommend!

Service when we first sat down was not good. Very inattentive. However the food was amazing! We had a party of 9 and everyone commented how great the food was. Wish service would have complemented the food.

Food was mediocre at best. The service was horrible. The waiter seemed like he was annoyed and the service was super slow. I definitely will not be going back.

This is one of the nicer restaurants in the questionable area in pioneer square, just south of downtown. It is much smaller than you’d expect, but they have a huge bar you can sit at. It has a classic décor with bright & airy interiors. Went here for lunch with colleagues one Tuesday afternoon. Since we were a large group, we had made a reservation. I was surprised that the table given to us was at the far end, right by the kitchen entrance, even though only one other table was occupied. Service however, was very good. The servers were very friendly, and our orders were taken immediately. They were prompt in refilling our waters/drinks. The food took really long to come out considering it was fairly empty. Though, that’s a problem with the kitchen, so I won’t hold it against the service. The food was very ok-ish, and highly underwhelming. It wasn’t bad in any sense, but not flavorful, just mediocre. From the décor and service, I expected much better of this place. The food is well priced, specially for a full service italian restaurant. It’s a good place to get lunch if you’re in the area and want table-service. I wouldn’t come here for dinner, mainly because of it’s not-so-good location, and better options.

Got takeaway spinach fettuccini with chicken one night when I was working late. For over $ 18(after tax), I’d hope for better. The Pasta was severely overcooked and mushy, and the sauce is bland, with only a hint of gorgonzola. The chicken was also nothing special. I don’t think I would bother giving this place a second go.

I’ve been here with an epically large group that took over the entire restaurant, and just with the boyf, and in both cases the service and the food were excellent. One of my favorite spots in Seattle, love stopping by here when I’m in town.

I just wanted a classic spaghetti bolognese Found it but it’s orange and I think it should be red. Ok Bland tasting really? Al dente or undercooked? Cool simple space but is the food really this mediocre all around Seattle? You shouldn’t have to only go to a high end spot to get a great meal. Even the Caesar was lifeless and where’s the ducking anchovy ? San Francisco spoiled me but I will continue the search. But maybe Saturday night after New Years is not the best time to visit here. I’ll try again. Maybe.

Food was excellent. Waitress was horrible. I had the butternut squash ravioli. The waitress was dry and kept looking down at at me, didn’t make me feel comfortable. Worst experience with a waitress I’ve had in a long long time. Get your food to go.

Great interior/décor, good food, friendly and attentive staff. The scampi appetizer and the pear tart dessert were my favorite dishes of the night. The chocolate lava cake is also really good and I usually don’t like chocolate desserts — it was perfectly fluffy/moist(Sorry to all the ‘moist’ word haters for that one!) and the right amount of gooey chocolate inside. Main dishes: My boyfriend loved his Rudy’s Red Spaghetti. The homemade sausage on it was good, and the noodles were a perfect al dente as they should be, but the sauce was a bit too watery of a consistency for my personal liking. I prefer a thicker, hardier spaghetti sauce. Maybe I’m the only one… Smoked Salmon Ravioli — I read a comment on Unilocal that someone thought it was too salty so I was a little hesitant to order it, but I liked it! Smoked salmon and pesto sauce are typically on the salty side anyway… and I love salt so it wasn’t a problem for me. Overall — I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to go again, but I’m glad I tried it. It’s a cute little restaurant with some great options.

Decided to try this place as we read some reviews on Unilocal.Parking lot next to restaurant available for $ 14 during evenings. Neighborhood is on edge of some less than ideal settings to park car on public street and walking with my family to restaurant, didn’t feel like the best idea. Did not have reservation so asked if they could accommodate 3. The one wait staff person working told me the host would help me. Host was able to inform me they would be able to accommodate us. I went to bar area that was empty and sat with my family but was not asked if we wanted drinks. Understandable as there was no one available to ask. A bottle of wine while waiting would have been nice. Didn’t have to wait long 10 minutes and seated. Dropped at table by host(uncertain if he was also the proprietor but I doubt it as he was casually dressed and did not have much of a experience sense for patrons). No menu or. offer for drinks. Waiter eventually brought menus after 10 minutes and glasses of water on a drive by basis. Another 10 minutes passed as we watched the kitchen staff looking bored at counter(we were next to kitchen). Waiter told us about specials rather uninspired(my wife and daughter tried to engage the waiter but little return as he was clearly overwhelmed as the only wait staff person). As result we ordered everything once he returned, bottle of wine, appetizers and salads for everyone and entre for everyone. Cheese and cured meat plate nice, shrimp scampi nice taste(but came out not as hot as it should– this is. likely theme for this place), Caesar salad under dressed, could see that it was a bit touched but underdressed. Pork entre was very tasty but again not served hot, just warm. Probably dished on a cold plate. Chicken pasta entre dinner special same situation, I could see the potential and it had taste but not served hot. Pasta that was not hot sucks!!! My kids pasta and meatball dinner also same. Everything was plated on clearly on plates that cooled the food. Dessert was awesome, chocolate pudding cake. Took 20 minutes but was hot, they couldn’t fake this one. In summary food clearly had tasty potential. Service and execution sucked. No one working appeared to want to be there as evident by host running out door a little before 9:00 pm. The location is OK in «up and coming» edge of pioneer square. I recommend this place for lunch and to owner(s). Work on the service staff engagement. Lots of good places to eat service is a differentiator. The prices are reasonable. $ 180 after tip(only %15 tonight which is my minimum).

Pioneer Square has slowly been capturing my heart with its charming restaurants like Radici. My friend and I happened upon the restaurant one sunny afternoon for a weekday lunch and found the place empty, as we were the first customers of the day. I absolutely loved the minimalistic design of the place, especially its white walls — they helped brighten up the room in addition to the natural lighting. :) Our waiter informed us that the daily pasta special wasn’t ready yet, but everything else was fair game. My friend and I both opted for the autumn special, the butternut squash ravioli. This pasta dish is a little different in that it’s less«saucy» with its brown butter. I thought that the hazelnuts added a nice texture to the dish, and the pasta was definitely hearty and«autumnish» in taste. In terms of price, Radici did end up being a spendier lunch with the special at $ 17. However, I left feeling pretty full and didn’t even have room for dessert(although it was very tempting! :P) The restaurant filled up pretty quickly, so I’d recommend going earlier in the lunch hour. If you don’t have an appetite for pasta, they also had a few sandwich and salad options on their lunch menu — the classic meatball sandwich caught my attention. Radici is definitely a cute space for a lunch and I’d visit again. :)

Absolutely delicious! Had the pasta special of the day– noodles with crispy pancetta, Brussels sprouts, and sprinkled with goat cheese. My boyfriend got the sandwich special, which had was on a Demi-baguette and had roasted red peppers, grilled chicken(cut into small pieces for easy eating), and whipped goat cheese. Both were to die for, and very reasonably priced, especially for such a beautiful space. We felt like we got a really nice meal for a really cheap price. We will absolutely be recommending this to friends!

Radici accomodated my special request for the dinner. My dish was probably the best penne I’ve ever had. The sauce was excellent! So excellent that i tried to go out and buy similar ingridients to try a similar taste. The location felt very authentic and the staff treats you well. I will be coming back for more!

Not impressed. Hipster, overpriced pasta, small portions, rude server, and I didn’t think it was very good! I’m pretty easy to please with pasta dishes, but this didn’t do it. Sad, because this little area needs a good pasta joint! Update: the owner contacted me shortly after I posted what was originally a one star review. He was sincere in his concern, and I appreciate the effort he put forth. This restaurant is still not for me, but it serves their target market well.

SOOO good. This place is one of those quintessentially Seattle eateries. European styling, it’s in Pioneer Square so the space is long and narrow. Pretty white tiles and clean semi industrial look. The menu is small, but each dish seems to have such perfectly balanced flavors you will have a hard time deciding. The wait staff was attentive and knew the menu well. The food and wine were delicious. The portions were reasonable. The price was fair. We will definitely be back.

For those days when you want some good comfort Italian food at a fair price but refuse to visit the chains, Radici steps up to the plate. Did I just make a sports analogy? The bruschetta is ridiculous. Served with spreadable garlic cloves, cheese, olive tapenade, roasted peppers and eggplant… I could not get enough of this appetizer. I chose the classic bolognese which was just what I was looking for. Not too rich, great flavor and nice accompaniment for the leftover bread. I ended up taking half of this home for my lunch the next day. The lovely lady that served the table was so astonishingly kind that minutes after she let me know that they don’t have Italian soda, she surprised me with her own concoction — which I’ve dubbed as the Porpora for it’s purple color, maybe not clever but it works. Delicious. Will absolutely be back!

I really don’t know what the fuss is about. Some people say the food looks good but doesn’t taste as good. Some say that Rudy’s Red is a no-brainer. Some say the food is amazing. I say… no. I got the Rudy’s Red with Meatballs and wow to say I have had better would be like saying Rome was a small town. Not to be offensive but the food was severely underwhelming. It isn’t a gourmet or fine dining experience yet portions are small for the price. I have to say, after coming to Seattle from NYC, I have not had a comparable Italian food experience. My next spot to try is Barolo as many friends have recommended it. I love that businesses are starting to come to Pioneer Square so I give this place 2 stars.

Meh. Blah. Bland. Radici is a really good example of food that looks better than it tastes. I stopped by last night in an effort to carbo-load after a particularly grueling workout, and didn’t even feel bad about wearing my grubbies. My dining companion has been here a bunch of times and convinced me to try it out. Only a few tables were occupied, but we decided to hunker down at the bar. Since I was starving, everything coming out of the kitchen looked delectable. I settled on the bolognese with three kinds of meat, and he went with the sausage mushroom risotto. I knew this would be a waste of a meal after the first bite. While the bolognese *looked* good, it was incredibly bland. Like, no discernible taste or texture whatsoever. Even after dumping what felt like half a shaker of parmesan on top didn’t do anything. It lacked salt and flavor. His risotto wasn’t much better after a healthy dose of parm and red pepper flakes and he admitted the food was off, compared to the other times he had been there. The proportions in the risotto seemed off as well. It was super heavy on the sausage/mushrooms, but light on the rice. Service was spotty and it was tough to even get water refills. Based on this experience, I’m not sure it warrants a second try. If you’re in Pioneer Square and craving pasta, head to Il Corvo. They never disappoint.

It’s refreshing to find a place like this in Pioneer Square, especially if you’re in the mood for a quiet, low key dinner with delicious food, change of scene, and lovely ambiance. Came here with a friend for dinner. While the table next to us was chowing down, the only thing I could think about was how excited I was to eat there. The food smelled and looked fantastic! Mmm Mmm! We ordered the bruschetta to start. This is seriously a MUST. It comes deconstructed with much more than your typical flare. The bread is grilled perfectly(with legit grill marks), and all the deconstructed sides are flavored so well that together, you can’t go wrong with any combination you smear and stack on your bread. Do it yourself makes it all the better. You’ll get roasted lemony garlic, goat cheese, eggplant caponata, olive tapenade, marinated red peppers, and fresh olive oil and basil. No tomatoes or basil come with this bruschetta, but it’s certainly delish! Probably the best thing we ate all night. Next up, ordered two dishes to share: 1. The classic bolognese and opted for gluten-free spaghetti. This dish came with meat sauce, lemon, and parmesan. We added the meatballs(veal and beef, not pork! YUSSSS!!!). The«meat sauce» is vegetarian! 2. Smoked salmon ravioli in a pesto cream sauce. The salmon was so fresh and delicious, the ravioli was perfectly al dente. Was too full for dessert and even had leftovers! I enjoyed my meal and experience here but felt overall both dishes could have used more fine tuning with their seasoning, a bit lackluster. Wasn’t too bland, but wasn’t seasoned well either. I do love they have tons of vegetarian options. The lady that served us was so kind and warm with a genuine smile. She made us feel very welcome and checked in on us enough without being overwhelming. That alone will bring me back.
