Had dinner here with my daughter Saturday night before going to see a play at 5th Avenue. It was excellent. We had the fried pickles which were very good. I had the chopped salad with salmon and my daughter had a Caesar salad. My daughter loved her salad and I loved mine! The chopped salad with bits of crisp bacon, avocado, egg, cheese — delicious! I almost didn’t upgrade to putting salmon on it($ 5) but I’m SO glad I did! So worth it! I think this was the best salmon I’ve had in my entire life! It was like butter in your mouth! Just absolutely wonderful! This restaurant is right inside the Westin and it has a cool vibe and a bar to sit at if you prefer. The city views are very nice. The chairs are super comfortable! Our waitress was wonderful. They got my order wrong originally and brought me a Caesar salad — but they corrected it right away and were very gracious about it. I will go out of my way to return here!

Definitely solid burgers! Always cooked how u want it. The veggie burger is amazing too. Good sides, maybe a tad more expensive but the food, atmosphere, and service make up for it.

After picking my brother up from the airport and back in the city walking around he wanted a burger, so we stopped in here for lunch. Friendly staff and tasty food. We started off with fried pickles, my favourite(YUM)! For the entrée I ordered the spicy black bean burger on a whole wheat bun. The pic looks like it was all dark and possibly burnt, but it was just the dark bun being toasted and there’s a grilled poblano pepper in the mix as well. Delicious meal, good company and conversation, and a friendly server.

My boyfriend and I had dinner here while staying at the Westin. Unfortunately, the food was not that great. I ordered the veggie burger and the black bean patty was burnt and there was very little of it. I basically had a thin slice of black bean patty, a thick slice of cheese smushed into a huge bun. I expected a little more from a restaurant inside a 4 star hotel. However, my boyfriend ordered the Relish Burger and that was cooked pretty well. Meat was cooked the way he likes it and it was a tall burger with bacon, cheese, and onion rings. I guess they don’t specialize in vegetarian dishes so I would recommend ordering a real meat burger for the better experience. Oh, their tator tots were AMAZING! Thumbs up for those!

Had dinner here on a Saturday night around 7 and was surprised to see this place mostly empty. It was also pretty dark in the restaurant at night. My sister and I shared the roasted mushroom burger and this burger they had special that week. It included onion rings, macaroni and cheese(with cheese from Beecher’s!), and bacon in it. I KNOW, heart attack in a bun but we decided to live a little. We are so glad we did. Both burgers were amazing. The special included the burger with a side of tater tots(yum) with a soft drink for $ 15. Wish they could add that burger as a regular!

Above average food for a hotel bar. I had the ground chicken burger and it was quite large. One thing– their burgers don’t come with sides/fries, so you’d have to pay extra if you wanted these. I liked the varied relish options. Bar service was quick, and it wasn’t very crowded on a Friday evening. Wine list could use more options by the glass.

I was thoroughly impressed with this place. The service was great. We were seated immediately, the server was friendly and attentive, and the burger… so delicious!!! My taste buds were blessed last night. Even the tater tots were delicious. Please try the Relish Signature Burger=AMAZEBALLS!!!

I really enjoyed myself here! This restaurant is inside the Westin Hotel so there is lots of class going on around here. If you can sit by the windows the view is pretty nice. Nothing too dramatic or scenic. It’s just of the Denny Triangle neighborhood but it is fun to immerse yourself in the urbane. They have a nice beer tap list and I tried a couple of beers from a Washington brewery I never heard or tried before(What?! Yes, yes… I KNOW). I was with Steve and a friend of ours and they got hamburgers. Steve got tater tots with shredded cheese and our friend, Sara got french fries so I got to sample a bit of both. The burgers were excellent! I got the meatloaf with mashed potatoes which was SO good! I devoured the whole thing. The seasoning, flavors… perfect! We split some pumpkin cheesecake which was delightful! A perfect meal to a very fine night! Did I say that we were going to see David Sedaris do a lecture that night too?

After the Unilocal elite event here, I’ve been planning to come back for a while. The Unilocal event and the food at it was great, and the staff seemed really enthusiastic about the changes they were making to the restaurant and the menu, so I was excited to revisit the place. The food was definitely good. The roasted mushroom burger I got had a really nice bun, great beef, and delicious flavors overall, while the parmesan tater tots I got as a side were nice and crispy, although somehow the giant shreds of parmesan they put on top did not seem to add much flavor at all. The service, though, was a bit iffy. The hostess honestly seemed like she didn’t want to be there, and was chatting to the bartender both times I went by the hostess stand. Another weird thing is that to use the bathroom, you need to ask the hostess to borrow a room key for the Westin and go into the lobby to use the Westin bathroom. This likely isn’t an issue for most people who come here, as Relish is in the Westin hotel and most of their clientele are probably guests at the hotel, but since Relish is trying to increase their out-of-house reach, it would make more sense for them to not make you leave the restaurant to use the restroom. That aside, when I tried to go to the bathroom, the hostess didn’t even have a working key, so I had to go with her to the reception desk of the hotel to borrow one for her. It wasn’t a huge hassle, but it was just not very professional. So even though the food was good, it just gave me some weird vibes and I’m not sure I’ll be back when there are so many other great burger places in Seattle.

First introduced to this spot during my first ever Unilocal Elite event… a burger competition! I heard Relish revamped their menu and wanted some publicity. I can get behind that. I had a lot of fun at the Unilocal event and wanted to come back to try some of the delectable burgers and finally got the chance. And they are good! Got the roasted mushroom burger substituting garlic aioli because horseradish isn’t my thing, with a side of parmesan tater tots a Roger’s Pilsner. A for good food! The Pilsner was refreshing and not bitter(really, why I like pilsners in the first place), the burger was cooked medium to perfection on an insanely good bun, and the tater tots were crispy although the parmesan didn’t add much. This all comes down to a solid 4 star review from me, but why –1, you ask? Ok, even if you don’t ask, I’ll tell. I got a strange vibe from the service from before I arrived at the restaurant and all the way through. Let me explain. I wanted to know about the parking situation at Relish, with it being downtown and all, and called before I left for the restaurant to ask about where I could park. Simple question, but the hostess must have been very confused because she transferred me to the Westin main line(where I was on hold 5ever) with a quick«let me get you someone who can answer your question.» ??? Can’t you answer my question? YOU are the hostess. You should know. Whatever. Figured out they would validate parking at the restaurant if you park in the Westin(FYI, Relish-goers who are not Westin-stayers) Took advantage of the valet real quick. That was the main irking thing. When we got to the restaurant, the hostess was a bit weird and seemingly… confrontational? Our waiter was also over-eager – maybe he was new. Bottom line: food was really good. Beer was even better. My service experience? Eh.

I’m a burger maniac, and I was excited when I noticed that the Westin(where we were staying) had a fancy schmancy burger place in the building. I’m usually a bit skeptical of hotel restaurants, but I knew I’d end up there at one point or another. We ended up eating there twice, under two different sets of circumstances. The first time was a to-go order about twenty minutes before they closed. I’d had a long day and had conked out around four, only to awake at 10:30 with a grumbling tummy. I didn’t feel like leaving, so I decided to give the burger place a shot. I got the signature burger, the parmesan tots, and the rasberry basil soda. I didn’t regret my decisions, even a little bit. I devoured that thing at the desk in front of our window, in full view of anyone who might be peering in from the South Tower. I couldn’t finish it all, but that was due to the amount of food rather than the quality. This was a top-notch burger cooked perfectly, and the tots were nice and crispy and flavorful. The soda was out of this world. On our final night in town later in the week, we decided to go back and eat in the dining room. I got the same thing, and my girlfriend got the special, which was some asian fish«burger.» The server was adamant that the fish was trout, but it was clearly salmon. Strangely, he even mentioned that some other guests had also thought it was salmon. Anyway, she said that her burger was fantastic, and my burger lived up to the memory of the first one. I did get extra steak sauce on it this time, because that had been pretty light on the first burger. The steak sauce is pretty delicious. Anyway, this place gets high marks from me. The food is amazing, and the service was great during both experiences. I’ll totally be back next time I’m in Seattle, whether I stay at the Weston or not.

This is a solid spot. Sometimes I hesitate to go to restaurants inside a hotel, mostly because I am scared off by the price or too many tourists, but Relish is legitimately well-priced and their menu is simply amazing. They have some stunning burger creations, and almost anything is customizable. I appreciate the variety and the giant portion size so I can split it with a group. Will definitely come back!

A solid 4 from me, though I don’t think my table mates would say the same. I must say, considering we were right in the thick of PAX, I was surprised that the restaurant was empty. I guess we just planned our day a little better… I dunno. Our server was a nice lady. She kind of reminded me of that aunt that everyone has that’s always asking if everything’s okay and giving recommendations on what tastes good. My tablemates were sort of over it(we were all servers at some point), but I’m always a fan of well-meaning folks. I actually didn’t get a burger and I don’t like relish, so I am not able to comment on either of those things. I got the grilled cheese and tomato soup, which was pretty bomb. It’s hard to get grilled cheese wrong, but there was a certain spiciness from both the soup and the sandwich(which was loaded with other delicious goodies) that really hit the spot for me. Plus, it was storming outside. Grilled cheese and tomato soup are staples for rainy weather, in my opinion. We all shared a basket of fries, which were quite good. My tablemates ordered burgers, and it sounded like some things were missing on one of them. That is unfortunate… but, I cannot speak for them. Also, that s’mores thing… where??? How!!! The other thing I wanted to try on the menu were the tater tot nachos. That sounds like it is made of excellence and childhood. Next time, Seattle!

Wonderful food, great service!(Yes it’s a bit slow – but as long as you know this, all should be ok!) Natalia did a lovely job. The steelhead burger was very good, the veggie burger was very moderately spiced(not too hot) and the sweet potato fries w/garlic aioli were delicious. Beer was good too, and a nice selection. We will come here again!

Came to Relish for their Sounders Trivia Event and had a great time! To get the Unilocal VIP ticket, I answered the correct Unilocal trivia to get into the event that got us a reserved table, meet a Sounders player(Chad Barrett), complimentary«Chad Barrett Bison Burger», photo ops, and autographed player cards. A big thanks to the Relish staff for hosting this event, everyone was so friendly throughout the entire event, making sure we knew the details of the event and especially providing us a complimentary burger. The«Chad Barrett Bison Burger» was absolutely delicious! Never had bison before, it tasted like beef but leaner but still oh so flavorful, melty cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato and i think caramelized onions, all served on a yummy Macrina Bakery bun. Oh, and stabbed with their signature pickle«spear». Been here a few times already and they’ve been wonderful! Great downtown location, great service and of course great burgers!

Located in the Westin Seattle, Relish is not your typically burger place. The quality of ingredients here is what sets Relish apart as a leader. The amount of toppings available are insane– take a look at the menu and if you want to customize your burger you are able to make great creations. One thing I do not like is on the menu for build your burger– the toppings look rather limited; however, you are able to literally make and customize it anyway you want(I am not sure if some items will cost more though). The burger that is a slider with an onion ring is out of this world delicious– it is just the right size and the flavors blend together amazingly. Great place in the Seattle area and they will even help with the parking bill at the Westin.

Downtown/Belltown location, easy to walk from busy routes, inside the Westin hotel. I’ve stayed at this Westin hotel before for 3 days and across from it for months and never thought of trying this place since there were so many options nearby! My loss as it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. So I went to Relish for an event and like I said, was pleasantly surprised by the cool ambience, service and their burger creations. I did not try their regular menu, but the mini burgers I tried were delicious. The beef was well seasoned and the chicken burger patty was juicy and moist. They have a full bar and they served a delicious honeydew melon drink. Definitely a place to keep on my list for a burger. They also have a decent happy hour worth trying.

A group of us Unilocalers came in to try the 12th Man burger that Dawn, Lee, Kyla and I had created for the Unilocal Build Your Own Burger competition earlier this month. I was excited when we won, but not as much as when I learned that Relish would be offering our burger as their weekly special burger of the week. Big time bucket list item crossed off. Our group tried several appetizers, including chips and dip, wings, and bacon Mac and cheese. The latter was among the best Mac and cheese I have ever had; I ordered an extra portion just to take home. They make their own sodas in-house: I had the pineapple-chipotle, which tasted mostly of pineapple with a spicy kick. The 12th man burger is a chicken burger with Gruyère cheese, arugula, tomatoes, avocado, roasted poblano peppers, garlic aioli and the house Relish sauce in a Macrina Sodo bun. The chicken patty itself is spicy and flavorful, the cheese is like a concentrated Swiss. The burger was huge, the kind you have to squeeze tight and open your mouth wide just to take a bite. The special came with a side, so I got Parmesan tots. The service was great, our waiter was attentive and friendly and made great suggestions for what to order. Some of the management came out and talked to us for a while. They told us they had tried and liked the 12th man burger. It was one of the prouder moments of my life. Objectively though, Relish has some great food and shouldn’t be overlooked as «just a hotel restaurant».

Having been here three times now I can say this is a super solid spot. In fact, I’m ashamed to admit that of all the times I’ve driven or walked past, I never went in until recently. I think there’s a misconception that because it’s at the base of a hotel it’s either not so great or it’s popular for tourists only. But I recently bought a place in the neighborhood and have come by for lunch and dinner. Happy hour is insane and the deals you get on food and drink are great. The burgers here are customizable so if you don’t like what you see on the menu or you have a specific craving, they can make just about anything here. That goes for vegetarian options too. I’ve had a burger on one visit and other mixed appetizers on another. You can’t go wrong with anything here but since they specialize in burgers you ought to give ‘em a try. They have everything from chips & salsa to spinach salads to chicken and waffles, sliders, and even s’mores platters! They bring a little portable campfire right to your table and you can make your s’mores however you like them. This is perfect for larger groups of at least 3 – 4 because it comes with a lot of fixins. They have TVs inside for people not wanting to miss the game, and they have a lot of really great window seating if you want to people watch or sit somewhere that feels more open. The ceilings are vaulted so the space looks and feels enormous. The lighting is cool and the space really is much hipper and more modern than I had expected. I love the big chunky wooden tables and floors. Everything is clean, service is friendly, and you can’t beat their prices. For a downtown food option you’re getting really good quality for the price.
