I came here for a last minute color and cut before I had to leave town, and I’m sad to say regret the decision. Although it looks super cute and modern inside, I left feeling like this salon had been in business since the 80s, using product that had been sitting on the shelf since the 80s. I’ve been having my hair colored for years with minimal damage(or at least to the naked eye), in this case I was desperate so I let her do her thing but I came out a dull brassy brown color, straw damaged hair and no clear adjustment to my outgrown layers. I have naturally fine hair so having my hair lose its volume or have any scalp exposed is not ideal. She basically stripped my hair of all life. RIP my hair. Anyway, I see other reviews that are positive so maybe she was having a bad day. Either way, many wonderful advances have been made in the hair product world and I’m not sure this salon is up to par with the others in Seattle that are charging the same prices. Might not be worth the gamble here. A few mentions: Olive Beauty Lounge in Ballard, Bang on Capitol Hill or Bella Marie on Roosevelt and 65th nearby.

I have followed Lana from her previous location to Ritual. I like the atmosphere in Ritual and enjoy my visits with Lana and having my hair done(balayage/cut). I find that my hair grows out better and doesn’t have that colored look to it. My only tip is Lana is busy, so pre-planning is needed so book in advance. Lana manages her own bookings; Lana has her own online booking( ) or call(425) 449‑0148.

Lana is awesome! It was my first time coloring my hair and she nailed my full balayage/cut. It came out even better than the picture I showed her. She is super sweet and easy to talk to. I love my hair! Ritual is a cute hip salon, free parking on Sundays!

Recently I went in for a a haircut and balayage highlights… I showed a picture of Balayage and let Lana know thats what i want. What I ended up getting is an all over color on top of my head and a darker toner for my existing highlights… This was my first time getting«balayage» so I didn’t know better, after she blow dried my hair I asked her if thats balayage and she said its all over color but my existing highlights would show through nicely! omg!!! really??? i pointed out the blond coming trough in a few spots of my now dark auburn and asked if thats what it supposed to look like? she said it looks fine and changed subject. My haircut looks terrible too, its longer on one side and theres a visible dip on the other side. Overall I would have probably done a better job with a box color from drugstore. I’m extremely disappointed and DONOTRECOMMEND going there. Oh and after contacting Lana to see if she’s willing to fix it she said that I would have to pay for the whole thing again!!! ridiculous.

I just finished my first experience at Rituel and wowowow does my hair look HOT. My gracious husband said it’s giving off a Beyonce vibe(bless his heart), but let’s be real here: no one can equal to Queen Bey. Rituel is a cute salon with a chic, clean interior. My experience was amped by Lana’s vibrant and lovely personality. She was sweet to look up pictures on her iPad along with me to find the right look I was aiming for. I am very happy with my cut and balayage! Some deets for ya’ll: Women’s cuts: ~$ 50+ Men’s cuts: ~$ 35+ Free 2-hr parking on 9th Ave The only thing not self-explanatory is how to book an appointment. Lana has her own online booking( ) or call(425) 449‑0148.

Great new store in the Roosevelt, Seattle area. One of a kind mid-century modern products that make the perfect gifts.
