Wow! The lighting here is amazing. That great, dramatic chandelier itself is worth a visit. I love antiques but often I find that the organization, or lack thereof, is quite distracting and makes finding a great item quite difficult. Here at Rook there are such perfectly curated settings and wonderful organization of goodies that it is almost impossible not to find something perfect that you didn’t even know you needed. What a gem.

If you are decorating your home — or a cool restaurant or shop — this is the place to go! The Rook antiques collection is displayed in groupings throughout the 7500 sq ft space. There are things here that you won’t find anywhere else. How about a giant statue of Neptune? A wonderful French 5 ft. red pig statue that looks like it could have been a display for a Paris café. A collection of modern Blenko decanters and vases. I want all the Modernism furniture — sofas, tables, lamps, chairs, wall units. There is a bright green modern lounge chair(don’t know the designer) that looks like it came out of the magazine, Dwell. Huge mirrors, wall hangings, Victorian bird cages, desks, artwork, all kinds of eclectic display items. And ladies, check out the cool jewelry! I wish I could add photos. You have to see it. Great place to wander around(it’s huge) on a rainy Seattle afternoon.

I regret not taking photos of this stunning store and all the incredible finds I found. I swear it’s pretty — come here and see for yourself! It’s actually so pretty I was too busy looking and gawking and oohing ahhhing at the various pieces of furniture that I didn’t manage to get my phone out and snap photos. This is basically an absolute dream come true for anyone looking for vintage finds. And more specifically lots of gorgeous mid century pieces. Sofas, coffee tables, even accessories like vases, glassware, and more. Easily about a 8,000 sq ft(or more?!) it’s really expansive and there are a lot of pieces to look at. It looks like pretty much the most incredible place to host a party in.

I attended the July 16th Grand Opening for ROOK. The antique furniture and eclectic«found» objects are displayed in a stunning manner! Nothing like this in Seattle! You have to see it. The building is an old auction house transformed into a magical world of design groupings. There is a huge floor-to-ceiling«chandelier» that has that«Wow» factor. The 7500 sq. ft. space is part antiques shop and part furniture gallery. It was fun to walk around exploring. All price ranges, interesting jewelry too. Location is right next to Pacific Galleries, arguably the best antiques mall in the Seattle area. If you like looking for unusual antiques and dramatic pieces to decorate your home — this is the place to go!
