Though it was not the best of terms that I had to get my window fixed, I must say I am glad I came to the downtown location. Having my car broken in to on NYE16 the team here got me in super quick and in a few days I was set to go on my way! Unfortunately two days and a week to the day my truck was once again broken in to, quite a rough start to the new year! I walked in the next day and Christine greeted me again, with a bit of a confused look, and immediately helped me out. She really went far above any expectations I had and really put me at ease. She worked with the manager Jake and technician JT, who both blew me away moving my repair date from the following week to same-​day. The team here has really made me feel so much better and I would highly recommend that if you have any glass repair issues, come to the downtown Seattle location! I stand by this review whole heartedly!

Fuck this place this guy name Matthew rude as fuck! Can’t google the map. Had to pick him and showed attitude like he doesn’t want to do his job and by the time he check out the glass he said he can’t fix it. Fuck you

I’m sorry I’m a little late posting this review. About a month ago my rental car was the victim of a smash and grab out in front of my apts. The passenger side window had been broken out on a Friday night. The weather was crappy so I covered it with plastic. I requested quotes from several auto glass businesses and Safelite was the only one to give me an online quote and secure me a date and time to install it. The appointment wasn’t until Tues morning so the people at Safelite put a temporary filler in at no charge. I could actually see out of this temporary glass. Some sort of computer snafu had occured when I showed up for my apt and I was not on the schedule. The scheduler let me use their computer so I could pull up my confirmation email. I went for a walk to get a bite to eat (they have free coffee, tea, etc). In less that 30 min they were calling me to tell the car was ready. These people were awesome. As far as price, I couldn’t say, I never got the chance to compare. Service was what I needed and these people provided me with outstanding, quality service. Thanks Safelite on 6^th ave Seattle.

I was told to be there at 11am and with anyluck id have my vehicle back by 5pm the same day– as it be I show up and they tell me I’m late that I had an 10:30am appointment, that now I’d have to wait till Monday. Thanks SafeLight for another glorious start to my day,

I needed my windshield replaced and my insurance preferred this company. Took them over a month to get it in stock because it was on back order? I was emailed when it came it (not even a phone call). Scheduled an appointment in their shop and asked if I could bring it in earlier that day. I was told I can, but they can’t promise to get to my car earlier.
Waiting room feels like a slightly classier DMV where you have to knock on a window for service. I dropped my car off 1.5 hours early and told them I’d wait because there was only 2 people ahead of me. Fast forward to my appointment time where I’m the only person waiting and my car hasn’t moved.
I thought they must be busy so I give them another 15 minutes. Another customer walks in for an appointment 30 minutes after me and his car gets moved immediately. At this point I knew they just forgot about me. I asked the lady at the desk what was going on and she scrambled and tried to say they got busy and proceeded to call a tech to work on my car. No apology or acknowledgement that they forgot and wasted my time. It makes me think they forgot to order my part and that’s why it took a month to get it fixed. Only reason why I’m giving them 2 stars is because it looks like the job they did on the windshield was ok.

Catchy jingle, but rotten customer service. I have a crack in my windshield. When I called my insurance company they recommended safelite to do a replacement. I scheduled an appointment with them 3 weeks ago, and I was pretty excited that they were going to come out to my house. I got several reminder emails that they’d be out between 8 – 12 on Saturday. On Saturday the tech calls me and basically says he can’t make it out and wants to reschedule during the week.
Complete waste of time.

The Safelite experience blew me away. I was referred by my State Farm agent after needing to replace my driver’s side window. Not only was the cost nearly half what the other companies were quoting, the service was exceptional. Justin was incredibly friendly and professional. He first listened to my concerns and addressed them in terms I could understand. He finished early but took time to invite me back and walk me through what he did. I left knowing that I had made the right choice and would gladly refer anyone to these auto glass experts.

The technician came out to fix my windshield. Apparently it was a difficult job as he called in a supervisor. I’m not surprised as my vehicle is a 15 year old Mercedes. They had to remove a panel on the door that was not reinstalled properly the last time the windshield was replaced. The supervisor showed me what was wrong with the panel, and then ended up putting it back on better than it was when they got to it. Amazing customer service.

I would never even think of using any other quick-​repair service or taking my car to a dealership again! Safelite was extremely efficient, affordable, and professional! Great job! I used the mobile repair for my windshield.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I took my vehicle in for a small rock chip in the windshield. They «repaired» it, but then the next morning when I looked at the vehicle there was a huge crack emanating from the repair location. almost a foot long. When I called to have them now replace my windshield – since they ruined it during the «repair» process – they told me they would nto replace the windshield, even though it was due to their own incompetence that the windshield became further damaged to the point of requiring it to be replaced. If I could give a zero star review I would. They have terrible customer service. Again, I cannot stress enough – DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Made an appt a couple weeks ago. 8am-​Noon. Took a vacation day to be home (car was undrivable due to being rear-​ended). Received multiple confirmations from Safelite. And then got a text that they won’t be here till 12:30 now. Had my entire day planned around an appt from 8-​noon. Really… you can’t work within a 4 hour window? Awful customer service. Now my car is in for repairs for 2 weeks. So when I get it back, I have to take another vacation day to take care of this. Only using Safelite due to insurance. This post will be sent out to everyone I work with. Terrible experience.

I had the unfortunate experience of having my car broken into, and was directed here by my insurance company. I didn’t really know what to expect about this process but I definitely got more than I thought I would.
I was told it would take a little over an hour for the window to be replaced but I was in and out of there in 30 minutes. They vacuumed all of the glass out of my car as well. The waiting room was wonderful. Free soda, coffee, water, and best of all free wifi!
They made an awful situation much better.

I’ve used Safelite AutoGlass multiple times living in Seattle (thank you construction trucks) but this was my first time using this location. They came to my work in SLU in the morning (which is a traffic nightmare) to repair my windshield. Unfortunately, due to the giant crack on my windshield, they weren’t able to repair my latest rock chip since they guarantee the structural integrity of your windshield post repair (which I completely understand). The technician was totally cool about it, and gave me some insight as to info about the importance of windshield integrity. She called the office about a quote for the windshield replacement for info purposes, and gave me more info on their guarantees, which are pretty great.
When I can drop $ 300 on a new windshield, I will definitely call them back. They have convenient locations, AND even better, they will come to your house or work to fix your windshield (even in traffic cluster f&*(SLU!). I’ve always had a great experience with them, and recommend them.

Best prices I could find anywhere in town, about $ 100 cheaper than Cascade Auto Glass *with* their Groupon! Safelite was recommended to me when I asked Toyota Auto about getting my windshield replaced since they do a quality job with quality glass and charge the lowest prices around. Scheduling an appointment online was easy (mobile service would have cost an extra $ 25, which is a good deal, but the shop was on my way to work). The shop waiting area is clean and they have decent WiFi and coffee/​tea. Service was quick, about an hour, and the glass looked great! Only complaint was that, unlike other reviewers who found their car cleaner than when they left it, there was a layer of weird dirt/​sand on my dashboard after service, but it was easy enough to wipe off. I’d definitely go back if I ever have glass issues again and would recommend them to anyone.

I’ve had my windows repaired here twice and it is a hit and miss. The first time it was my full front window and they drove out to work and did it. They also put in new windshield wipers and the dude vacuumed my entire car! Even under the seats. He was top-​notch.
This second dude, well, yuck– my driver’s side window was shattered. Supposedly the console where the cords for the electric locks and window buttons was broken (or so they said) so when they replaced the window, somehow they managed to make it WORSE and the dang console came completely out of the box, which means the wires get loose where they plug into the console. I don’t know how anyone could ruin that– but it’s obvious they did. I reported it back to my insurance company, they sent out a second dude who glued down the console (fun, huh?) which is super tacky. It didn’t stay. So now I have to buy a new console. The manager called, said he was sorry and that «there was damage before», which gee, I didn’t notice because the console never landed in my lap while driving, and I could still use the window. He offered absolutely nothing to solve the situation.
Now the window doesn’t work so great. Ok, it squeaks and sounds awful as it rubs against the door frame. But that’s when it’s working… the wires have come loose twice.
Go to another shop. What a pain.

The new window works! At first I thought I was hearing noises, but I think it was just from the rain. It took over 90 minutes to get done, but they gave me a discount for the long wait. The waiting room is great though — Wifi, phone chargers/​outlets, coffee/​water/​snacks… Not a bad place to be stuck fixing a window!

My car got broken, leaving my driver side window smashed with glass all over the inside of my car, door crevices, and all over the sidewalk and street. Although I’ve had stuff stolen from me before, this experience still shook me up and I haven’t been able to sleep peacefully since it happened. I also felt incredibly sad for my car since he’s been through so many years with me. In the years I’ve had my trusty little Corolla I named Rainen, there hasn’t been anything severe except for my own issues such as driving over curbs, hitting curbs, etc. What a trooper though, even going to Canada a couple of times considering I’m not the best driver haha.
Safelight is closed on Sundays, so for you people who have issues Saturday night/​Sunday evening… Good luck waiting. I was lucky enough to have this happen Sunday morning, so Sunday my car sat idle in our garage ALL of Sunday. We tried to get as much glass out of the car as possible but there was definitely a ton of glass INSIDE my door and areas where I couldn’t get. We called Safelight and talked to a rep who got my appointment set up in a timely manner. She was super cool, and we got to pick a time slot for Monday. You can also have them come to your house for about $ 30 but considering my iPhone charger got stolen I’m going to utilize my savings here LOL
Drop off and pick up was painless. The dude helping us out was chill and attentive. He explained what he thought might have happened and reassured us that the damage wasn’t as bad as other cars he’s seen. Also he explained how the glass inside the door was going to come out and that they would try their best to get all of it out. It only took an hour for them to finish and I was so happy to see my car in a better condition! They even got the tint to match :)
There’s a lifetime warranty with the glass they replace which is awesome. The service is great and I think it’s awesome that you can be in and out in about an hour. Also they have an array of candies that have a pretty good selection LOL, who can say no to whoppers? KUDOS!

My State Farm agent recommended Safelite to replace the front windshield on my Toyota Prius 2010 which had a cracked front windshield. I called on a Wednesday late in the afternoon and after getting a good quote ($ 315 — I had googled prices and was expecting $ 500+) the scheduler offered me an appointment at 8am on Thursday which I promptly accepted.
They told me it would be 90 minutes to 2 hours. The waiting room was a bit stuffy for my taste so I walked over to the Starbucks on 4^th Avenue and had a cup of tea and caught up on my email. (By the way, I should note here that the address Unilocal has is wrong by a few blocks — current address is: 4005 6^th Ave. South — very easy to find).
After finishing my tea, I walked back. Another incident worth sharing — I had misplaced a bunch of bank deposit envelopes containing several hundred dollars worth of cash. Turns out I had left in the car. They were sitting right where I left them on the back seat. The car was ready to go in about an hour and a quarter, and I was happily on my way with a new windshield. They even cleaned the rest of the windows and vacuumed the floor mats.
Hope I don’t get another cracked windshield, but if I do, they told me to come in and they might be able to fix it with resin before the windshield needed replacing. I’ll know where to go if it happens.

My car was broken into 2 days before the new year. The crooks broke in through my front passenger window and luckily it didn’t shatter too much because of the tint I had in place.
I called Safelite as recommended by my roommate. They originally quoted us $ 282 for the window repair and $ 25 for service for them coming to the house. Given that the crooks didn’t take much, I was unable to meet my deductible for my insurance to cover the repair. Knowing that I would have to pay out of pocket, I called around and received lower quotes. Safelite was unable to match the quote but did lower their original price to $ 230. I went ahead and scheduled with them for the convenience that someone could come to me for the repair.
It was a long 7 days before my window came in and someone was able to come to repair it. The repair tech came right on time and did a great job cleaning out the glass from the break-​in. The window was put in and he was done in 30 minutes. I haven’t noticed any loose broken glass since the window was replaced.
Overall: long wait for parts, bit on the pricier side, good service and clean job

I’m guessing this is the Safelite location that serviced me (they came to me in Capitol Hill). Overall, no complaints – scheduling by phone was easy; service was excellent, and the results look good (windshield rock chip repair). Convenience is paramount.
My only gripe (minus 1-​star) would be cost: $ 50 for injectable resin? I’ve had rock-​chips repaired before for less than $ 30, and I thought that was pricey. Unfortunately, StateFarm doesn’t cover windshield repairs – but that’s another matter.
