Nothing short of amazing was my experience in search of the perfect engagement ring. My journey in trying to find this flawless diamond encompassed 2 countries, 5 states, and 43 stores. Needless to say, I was a bit exhaustive in finding the perfect fit. Dave was absolutely amazing. During this endeavor I was fed many sales lines and false information by the other vendors. Dave was the only one who was truly straight forward with me. At no time did I felt like he was trying to upsale or diseave me. Dave guided me with the right information and helped me to find a ring that left my fiancé completely speechless. I didn’t feel like i was buying from a salesman, but rather an old friend who wanted to see the best for me. Now we’re about ready to get married this September and we already picking out wedding rings, and there is no doubt I will be buying them here.
Also let’s not forget that the ring appraised for 65% more than I bought it for. I needed that appraisal for insurance purposes, and this just tells me that Dave is completely upfront and spot on with his recommendations.

Just bought my fiancé’s engagement ring from Dave Hall at Seattle Diamonds. Dave was incredibly helpful and accommodating throughout the several months we worked together. He spent a ton of time understanding what I was looking for, which was a somewhat uncommon stone, and gave me great advice on which stone and setting was the best value for my budget. Additionally, I live in California, so Dave only had phone calls and emails to go on as he hunted down the perfect stone, which my fiancé loves!
Dave earned a lifetime customer in me, will definitely work with him again for future jewelry purchases. Cannot recommend highly enough!

The amount and quality of diamonds found here are unreal. The only other place you will find prices even close to Seattle Diamonds on loose diamonds is Costco or Blue Nile, but you wont get the customer service, the ability to see and feel and touch the diamond and talk your way through your purchase with a diamond professional.
Just received our appraisal from ring and wedding band back from 3^rd party and it wasn’t quite double but SUBSTANTIALLY above what I paid.
Diamonds are complicated, get help. Had the pleasure of working with Toni and Dave through the purchase of the diamond, designing the ring and wedding band. They are professional, knowledgeable and have more resources than 99.9% of other jewelers. Through each step I knew exactly what I was getting and when I would get it.

I recently purchased an engagement ring from these folks and I don’t think I could say enough good things about my experience with Gemological Trading Cop. First and foremost I want to talk about Mary. She was nothing short of amazing. I was not working with a huge budget but she always made me feel like I was the most important person client she had. She also never pushed to move me out of that budget, which was really nice. My buying process took a few months and she was very patient with me and by the time we were done she was more involved in the process of proposing as any friend or family member was. Furthermore, she was a rock and sounding board for me while we worked together. And most importantly she was responsible for making the ring of my girlfriend’s dreams become a reality.
Next the ring. This thing is amazing! How Mary made it fit in my budget I really have no idea. My girlfriend and I shopped together and after our first consultation with her my girlfriend was sold on having her do it. We were looking at a totally custom piece (did I mention my small budget), which I could not believe. When I left I was skeptical it could happen but Mary wasn’t and it did not take more then 3 days for Mary to call up and say «I found it!» Less then a week later I was sitting in front of a wonderful diamond that was going to be the center stone of a beautiful ring. When I finally saw the ring I was literally speechless. I got out of my chair and had a pace a bit because I really could not believe it and I needed to make sure this was really happening. How we got to this ring with what I had to work with blew my mind. There was actually another woman who was picking something else up and took a look at it and literally started to tear up. How does that happen? Anyway…
The place. The shop actually took me a bit off guard. Its not your normal jewelry shop. Way more private, way more client focused. It is the kinda place that I imagine high rollers go. With very few pieces on display what happened was I talked and Mary listened. She asked questions and we brainstormed together. When I finally took my girlfriend in Mary was really receptive to someone who was very blunt about their likes and dislikes and never took it personal when one of her ideas was shot down.
The gist of this is that I would send anyone to this place and I would recommend they work with Mary with out a doubt in my mind that she could give them exactly what they wanted.

This is my first review and it was worth signing up for a Unilocal account just for this! I can’t say enough good things about this place. My fiancé and I visited here in the early stages of ring shopping, and Erin was so friendly and helpful that as we walked out the door my fiancé told me he’d be buying the ring from her if/​when the time came. Sure enough, a few months later he gave me the perfect ring… little did I know that Erin had rushed it from New York so it would get there on time for the day he wanted to propose. If you’re in the market for an engagement ring, go see Erin! She’ll take great care of you.

I heart this place. I first found them in 2007 when they were located downtown. Erin helped me design a wedding band to go with my engagement ring. I shopped around to a few other places that would make a platinum diamond wedding band, and this place was the most reasonable. Erin provided excellent customer service, and a year and a half later, I still absolutely love my wedding ring set. They look like a perfect match for each other.
Recently, I wanted to have my prongs and diamonds checked on both e-​ring and wedding band. Apparently, you’re supposed to have this done annually to protect them from wear and tear. Oops. Anywho, a year and a half had gone by since, but Erin remembered me and had the maintenance done on my rings, complimentary! (I was espcially surprised since my husband didn’t buy my engagement ring here.) I guess this service is free for the first few times after you make a purchase here which is super nice. When I picked up my rings, they were super shiny and all sparkly.
Thank you GTC for taking care of my wedding rings! I will definitely come back. Might even pick something else up for myself. (Can I help it if I’m distracted by shiny things??)

Their new offices are located in South Lake Union, a very subtle location with no signage (you won’t be paying for marketing or a fancy store front). We were getting desperate to find the «right» engagement ring for the «right» price and visited them upon a friend’s recommendation. We met with Mary and she was by far the easiest salesperson we encountered during the whole ring shopping process. I told her my style based on what we thought we could afford — she stopped me right there and asked me, «What do you REALLY want?» My fiancé and I were both shocked when she told us what they could make within our budget. Several weeks later, we had the most beautiful custom-​made ring (at half the price we would have paid elsewhere). Mary even sent it to us via Fed-​Ex while we were vacationing in Hawaii!
