I’ve yet to find a good teriyaki place in the SODO area. so I guess this restaurants name isn’t completely wrong just yet. By no means does«Seattle’s Best» give any indication of what the quality of this place is. Sometimes I crave teriyaki. This place is a bit of a walk for me, but I make the walk from time to time. The food here is mediocre at best and the service isn’t that much better. It’s a bit dirty and the tables are a bit sticky. I typically take my food to-go because I don’t trust their plates and the overall sketchiness of this area.

Definitely not Seattle’s Best Teriyaki. Waited in line and was not acknowledged for over three minutes, she continued to clean tables and ignore customers. I asked about the shake sign they had and she said she was too busy to make it. WTF? Not even an option to order it now and get it in the next twenty minutes. Very poor service Not much food, medium quality meat although the sweet teriyaki sauce was good and would have to be the highlight of the experience. While eating she waited at the counter looking at her phone for over five minutes and looked at her phone, too busy indeed. No thank you when I left. One star for decent small portion adequate teriyaki chicken with some watery dressing on the salad. Do yourself a favor a go to a good restaurant like Teriyaki Madness or anywhere else.

Menu quoted online is $ 2 less than everything actually costs in the restaurant. In addition I ordered beef chow mein. The dish I was given had barely any meat in it. And what meat was there was very dry and full of fat. Terrible cuts of «meat». Barely any noodle. Barely any flavor. Most of this dish was sautéed cabbage. Extremely disappointed and I won’t be returning again. They should really change the name of this place as its horridly false advertising. *addendum to original review: I ended up throwing out the whole $ 10 mess as it wasn’t worth eating.

This place is far from being Seattle’s best teriyaki. However, this is the only place in the area to get a decent bowl of phở. I am waiting for someone to open a panera bread.

Little sketchy area but got a LOT for what I paid for. Really good chicken Yakisoba. Kind workers, would really improve the business to have music playing so it doesn’t feel awkward with it being pretty empty. Altogether, a good stop for Teriyaki.

Wonderful and efficient teriyaki place to grab a quick lunch during the week. Service is always friendly, efficient and quick and have always received a consistent product every time with very little deviation ever from what I normally get. Definitely not a place where you have to worry about«Wonder which chef is here today?». Typically order the regular chicken teriyaki which has a large amount of sauce(perfect for me!). Chicken is always very good quality and moist. Have never ordered and received dry or old tasting chicken. I have also ordered some of their sides and other dishes, particularly some of their Chinese dishes, and these have all been a great quality. Location is very accessible and there’s plenty of room inside to eat, or take out if you wish. They are very efficient if you drop in and grab lunch for take out, and I have never sat inside waiting for more than 5 minutes for a to go order. For the times I am working in Seattle during the week I always try and make it here for lunch at least once during the week, recommend others to do the same if you have the opportunity!

This has become my go to place for lunch Teriyaki take-out. Consistently OK and always ready when I call ahead. I would have to agree with other reviews that the phở on the other side is a better option if you are staying to eat there. Still a good lunch option if you are in the 4th Ave South /Lander area and are looking for quick Teriyaki. But definitely not a place to seek out if you are just visiting Seattle.

I come here to get teriyaki here and now but it never cross my mind to get the Phở it just seem like it wouldn’t be right to get phở here since they most specialize in teriyaki. To my surprise their phở is actually pretty good! Plenty of toppings and the broth tasted decent! Now I wouldn’t say that this is the place to go get Phở but if you find yourself here and not knowing what to get just know that their Phở is up to standard. I’ve also notice when it comes to teriyaki their take out portion is a lot more food than if you eat in store and their prices are higher than other places. I would say this place is just average

Super dumpy teriyaki place. They use the standard flakes of beef and precut chicken strips. Portions were average and the sauce wasn’t anything special. «Seattle’s Best» my left toe.

This place is just so-so. The sauces for the various dishes I have tried are overly sweet. The portions are inconsistent: I got a huge pile of chicken while my buddy got a tiny portion of beef surrounded by a jungle of blah salad. I may be the only one who actually looks forward to the salad at teriyaki places but this one was nothing to look forward to. To sum up, this is a great place for a quick and dirty meat snack but don’t take your friends, don’t take your family. Get in, get out.

Looking @ these reviews and some of you dudes need to stay home and just order your food from Amazon LOL. The Spicey Chicken is the bomb! We will be ordering again soon. BTW it’s located in the«Industrial» area so i figured it’s a good place for lunch. For the unhappy, grump, picky critics, kill yourself!

Our regular go-to place for teriyaki. It is the best in town. Our usual orders are the spicy chicken and chicken katsu combo. Too bad they are close on Sundays.

I used to be a regular patron of SBT until about a year ago when they changed their Teriyaki Sauce and it became really inedible. I even casually mentioned this to two friends of mine and I was shocked when they both independently concurred. I finally returned to SBT and ordered the Spicey Lemon Grass chicken with vermicelli Noodles. I was still wary of ordering the teriyaki. I’m happy to report that the Lemon Grass Chicken, which actually is part of Phở City, attached to SBT, and run by the same people, was very tasty and I would come back again. Of course though, now there is a new obstacle to overcome; Sue, the Korean woman who is always there at the counter, apparently doesn’t like me anymore. Her vibe was quite hostile! Either she is mad because I haven’t been there for a year, or maybe she read my last bad review and figured out it was me, which seems unlikely, I don’t know? I’ll give Seattle’s Best Teriyaki one more shot and report back. As of, 8÷1÷14, I still haven’t been back. As much as I occassionally crave some chicken teriyaki I just can’t bring myself to waste another $ 7.95. I don’t know if I’ll ever go back.

No. Never again. I got the daily lunch special, chicken and gyoza with no rice. Make it spicy chicken? Sure. This was lunch at work and i didn’t realize the error they’d made until i’d gotten back to work. $ 9 for all salad in the big portion of the to go plate, 4 gyoza in the top left small compartment and what I’m guessing was chicken in the top right small compartment. Salad was totally average. Gyoza was hot and crunchy and ok on flavor. The chicken was not hot enough in temperature and i even encountered a cold spot near the bottom. This did not suprise me as through a little window between the dining room and the kitchen I watched the chef tong their spicy chicken out of a rice cooker and into the container. It’s basically been on warming all morning. and the sauce was gravy thick and not tasty. Super fail, SBT. Price, portions, quality… all really out of whack. Never again.

It was ok(just ok), but WAY too high of a price for the tiny portion of Mongolian Beef I got. Homemade hot sauce tasted like Heinz 57 cocktail sauce with some chili sauce mixed in. Not great.

So this is Seattle’s Best Teriyaki, huh? You know, just don’t take that name too literally and you might enjoy a casual meal here. Of course, the only real reason to come here is that restaurants in SODO are few and far between, let alone good ones. Without taking the scarcity of restaurants in the district into consideration, I can still safely say that this is an all right teriyaki joint. It’s a very modest little place, probably family-run, and right next to a phở restaurant. I bet most of the customers have the misfortune of working in the area. I ordered a chicken and tonkatsu for lunch, and the dish arrived in under five minutes. Service was fast, perhaps even a bit too fast, hmm… but anyway, the girl behind the counter was very helpful and polite, which is a nice contrast to how dark and depressing the rest of the area tends to be with all the industrial stuff going on. Yes, the chicken and tonkatsu were very good. The chicken was nice and crispy, while the tonkatsu was tender and covered in teriyaki sauce even though there was already a separate cup of it included. Overall, I’d say the tonkatsu was probably better. Also on the dish were a light salad and a scoop of rice. They did a nice job of rounding out the meal, but I kind of would have liked a little more in terms of quantity. I can get greedy like that, and I never complain when I get too much! Other than that, it is pretty good and cheap teriyaki in an area sorely lacking in food to begin with.

Seattle’s Best Teriyaki? Not only is the name flat-out lazy, it’s a lie! If you are going to call something the«Best,» it’s gotta live up to the hype. This place falls WAY short of that. I’ve been to this Teriyaki joint far too many times, but my visits have only been out convenience and my own laziness. I work right next door to this restaurant and sometimes it is just so quick and easy that I cannot turn it down. I have ordered something different every time(3 – 4 visits), but each time I have been disappointed. Their portions are small, the quality is lacking, and the«salad» they serve with most dishes is simply a pile of shredded lettuce served with a cup of dressing. That’s horrible! If I have any will power after writing this review, I’ll never go here again. There are so many better Teriyaki options in Seattle that I should not waste my time here out of mere convenience.(and neither should you)

When I used to work in the area, this was one of my favorite places to eat and if I had the Unilocal app on my phone back then, I would have many check-ins…many…check-ins. My go-to dish is always a combo featuring beef and chicken or beef and pork with both items spicy. The portions are very good sized and even with my appetite, I have taken leftovers home on occasion. Everything else I have tried is very good and have never once had a bad experience here. I have brought friends and groups and everyone has loved the food. Typing about it now is making me want to head down there for dinner! If you decide to go during lunch time be prepared for a long line as this is a very popular place although they do get through the line pretty fast. The dining area is fairly small so grab a table if you’re lucky or get your food to go and head somewhere else to eat. There is a small TV overhead and during the day, you are likely to catch up on a soap opera or some other basic cable daytime show. The service has always been really good here and they are quick to recognize regulars which is nice because there are an awful lot of them.
