We were staying the the Hampton right across the street. Our rental was dangerously low on gas, so we dropped by to fill up. It was Tuesday, January 19th around 9:30pm. I honestly have no idea the average price of gas nowadays as I almost never drive. But we got regular gas at $ 2.759 per gallon. Filling up 10.253 gallons, our total was $ 28.29. The next day, we got gas closer to the car rental company and it was priced cheaper, so I’m not sure how competitive their pricing is in this area. After filling up, I requested a printed receipt, but one never came out of the machine, so I went inside the store to ask for my copy. I gave the cashier my pump number and he seemed confused. He asked me if I wanted to put money on the pump. I said no, I want the receipt I requested. He then asked me when I got gas and I told him just now.(As if I would have gotten gas earlier in the day and came back for a receipt?!) After more back and forth, he still seemed confused and just printed out a receipt saying I think this one is yours. Luckily it was, but why was it such a confusing endeavor to get a copy of a receipt?! So weird! Convenient if you’re in the area, but weird customer service.
