ShutterSpeed Photobooth Photo Booth Rental

Complete incompetence meets zero desire to follow through for us as their paying customers. Photobooth equipment broke down multiple times, attendant, who has since been fired (we have that documented in email) was no where to be found during the wedding when equipment broke down.
Owners, Woody and Jasmine admit the terrible service during the wedding and also mirror the the level of service of the fired attendant, they promised to follow through on sending us a thumb drive of our pictures (that is also documented in email), that deadline has passed and we are now being ignored. We have already reported them to the BBB in addition to hiring an attorney so we can get our thumb drive of pictures WHICH WE PAID FOR.
I would never recommend doing business with this loosely called «business» They literally just took our hard earned money and did not honor what they promised us.

I regret hiring them for my wedding a few weeks ago. They don’t deserve any stars for the lack of customer service and responsiveness. They are disorganized. Buyer beware!
Their attendant that they sent sat on a chair most of the evening and wasn’t helpful. He ate and drank food that were for my guests. I had to ask him to attend the booth several times when it wasn’t working.
For some reason Jasmine and Woody cannot agree on the number of photos that were taken at my wedding which has caused me heart ache. At first some photos are lost and then found but then they realized that the number of photos they gave that night was in fact correct.
While they agree their service was bad they offered me 4 copies of each photo taken and about a ¹⁄₃ cost of what I paid as refund for their poor customer service which I didn’t agree to. I wanted to be compensated for the attendant’s meal and snacks I saw him eat, a phone call (on my honeymoon for the international fees) emotional distress and sadness this whole nightmare has caused, which was a $ 100 more.
I threatened legal action because they were not responding to any of my phone calls or emails as to what happened to the photos from our photo booth a week after of our wedding. By the way Jasmine says they don’t answer emails or phone calls Mondays or Tuesdays as it is their days off.
I emailed them 11 months prior to coordinate to avoid issues and to be prepared and ask questions about my own backdrop that was made of paper that I wanted to use, she didn’t respond until I emailed again by 3 or 4 months prior to my wedding.
They are full of excuses and poor customer service. I have email proof. And while I know Jasmine has and will dispute this with me, anyone who may have questions about my review can contact me and I can forward you emails from Woody and Jasmine and you can read for yourself about my awful experience.
I have filed a claim with the Washington State Attorney General’s office to settle this matter. I will be filing a claim with the Better Business Bureau as well.
Update: Jasmine emailed and stated that she was going to send my photos that «were found» on a memory stick certified mail to me by 8÷31÷2015. That has not happened. They cannot be trusted.”

Fantastic experience! The box of props was really fun and almost everyone (young and old) got into the booth at some point during my wedding. Everyone kept talking about how much fun it was!
Jasmine and Woody were great to work with and the set up and tear down at the venue was nearly invisible. I highly recommend these guys for your next event!

Jasmine was super helpful on answering all the questions. But the problem was the attending staff during the wedding. He came and set up the equipment, then disappeared somewhere. I later found out that our wedding coordinator, maid of honor, and some other guests were looking everywhere for him as the ceremony has ended and people were wondering why the photo booth is off. They later found him in his car! HE claimed that his boss told him that there will be an hour BREAK between the ceremony and the reception, so he didn’t have to come back for another hour. Who has a BREAK during wedding? When I was communicating with Jasmine before the wedding, I mentioned that we will have an hour of refreshment hour right before the official reception begins, so that we can go off and take some pictures. So by the time they brought him back, the refreshment hour was half way over, which was the most crucial part where we needed the photo booth the most. He also forgot the guest book in his car, so our coordinator had to remind him. During the time when he WAS there with the photo booth, he was on his phone the entire time. I’d admit that the price was great and the contact person was great as well, but the person who actually showed up could care less about anything and it made me very uncomfortable that we paid for such service.

my partner and i are very big into photos. i am a «capture the moment» person — the photos are the most important part of anything. when our wedding date started rolling around, on top of disposable cameras and a photographer, we wanted a photo booth for sure.
i shopped around for a while before finding one in my price range. the first one was booked, and they recommended shutterspeed to me. we’re on vashon island, and a lot of places wouldn’t get on the ferry for us – and if they did, there was a big fee. shutterspeed wasn’t like that at all and only asked for the ferry passes to be covered.
jasmine communicated with me the entire time through. she sent me samples only a few days after talking to her and had me decide on their services only after i saw i was satisfied with the strips and their quality. i opted to design my own graphic for the photo strips, and their designer worked with me on what would look best on the strip. it worked out perfectly, and the quality wasn’t lowered at all.
they came out a few hours early and set up a very fun, accessible streamline of costumes, a guestbook and the booth itself. a lot of people didn’t use the photo booth until the reception, and they were trying to squeeze in right up until 6 p.m. (when our booth expired). in no way were they rushed. the attendants were very accommodating.
the attendants were younger adorable boys who were very respectful of what was going on but were very helpful and friendly. i walked by once and asked them if they had anything to eat. «yeah, we got something. thank you!»
oh, blub. such cute boys.
the photos are priceless. it is exactly what i wanted. everyone absolutely loved it and i would do it again at another large function, no doubt. the best part is that they are available online, so no one has to scan anything and seeing the pictures you didn’t see before is kind of like reliving the moment.

ShutterSpeed came to my wedding reception in May and it was such a hit! I decided that I wanted a photobooth barely two weeks prior to my wedding and Jasmine was so flexible and willing to work with my request, she helped make it happen. She gave me very competitive pricing and great service. I didn’t have to worry about a thing and my guests just loved it. There were plenty of silly props for guests to use that they took full advantage of and made for hilarious pictures. I got a copy of all the photos too. I would definitely hire her again if I could find another excuse to get a photobooth!

I am in the process of planning my wedding and one of my wishes is to have a photo booth at the reception, so I look to Unilocal for help to choose vendors. Shutter speed’s ratings are great but I didn’t realize the person to reserve this service with would be so inconsiderate and a liar, jasmine is her name. We were communicating back and forth via emails, we set up a time to meet a few days after our initial email at my work. The day finally arrived to meet with her and I made sure that she had my cell phone just in case if she got lost or anything. I got an email about 5 minutes before 12 saying that she will be at the my office at 12:15ish, ok that’s fine, mind you I’m at at work and and don’t have much time to work with. Finally 12:35 rolls around and she hasn’t shown up nor called, finally she calls to tell me that she’s lost and couldn’t find the parking garage that I told her that she can park in so I can validate her parking, so she decided to drive around and around to save a few bucks when she could’ve parked anywhere else, downtown has plenty of garages. Being prompt and having good communication are the number one thing you need to sell to all brides because that lets us know that we dont have to worry about anything on the day of the wedding. So instead of aplogizing she gave me excuses, by that time I was too busy to meet, so I told her that I would contact her to reschedule. 2 days later I get an email stating that the date I want to reserve has been already been taken when she told me on the phone that they can have almost four events on the same date. I’m sure their service is great but the beginning process obviously sucks. My event is not until June 2013 so I have some time to find a better vendor.

We won a free photo booth rental from ShutterSpeed through a drawing at a Macy’s registry event. Since everything was free, I wasn’t too worried if they showed up or not, but the fact that we paid no attention to them and everything went smoothly, I would have to give them full stars for quality of service! They coordinated the technicalities with our venue, so we didn’t have to worry about then at all. I loved that their prints weren’t strips because they made AWESOME thank you cards! Despite being out of town and extremely busy, they communicated relatively quick and were very straight-​to-​the point. Our guests absolutely loved them, and I really recommend SS Photobooths!

Had my event on March 3, 2012 for a baby shower in Southern California. They showed up on time, set up was done before my guest arrived. Guest LOVED IT! it was such a great hit. The best part was that our guest got to keep a copy of their photos and we got to keep a copy for our scrapbook. The scrapbook idea was great, since I never would have though about that. All in all, service was great, staff was professional and guest loved it.
