Slab Art

These folks are nothing short of fantastic! We started out with one of their table tops, Eric worked with our ideas to create the perfect legs and benches. Wonderful product and great experience.
Now we’re hooked. Gudrun created a pair of custom bedside tables for a hard-​to-​fit spot that combine exceptional beauty as well as practical function.
They just delivered a custom commissioned sideboard/​hutch piece that is absolutely stunning. They worked with us to understand our needs and crazy ideas to create a concept, and executed it above and beyond our dreams.
Exceptional people, exceptional craftsmanship and amazing products. They were easy to work with and priced appropriately for the outstanding product and customization. Certainly not inexpensive, but a very good value.

1. For potential buyers: You’re here to purchase custom furniture and create a vision, please do not expect this to be a ‘cheap’ experience.
2. If you’re willing to partner with the artists, you can really influence the design as they both want the piece (shelf, coffee table, desk, etc) to be a lifetime piece within your home. They will also create something beautiful if you give them free reign, just look at the pieces posted to their website.
3. Gudrun and Eric are excellent artists and provide a lot of flexibility for the purchaser. They want to get to know you, understand why you’ve thought about Slab Art and help you make a good decision about the slab you select.
4. Their expertise is unmatched and prices are comparable to ‘out of the box’ slab style furniture. For the involvement in the creation, we had a much better experience than walking into a showroom and ordering one of the ‘existing’ styles. We have a truly unique piece as compared to something that sat in a warehouse for the same price.
5. Our piece was delivered 3 weeks early! While this is not the norm, it was a huge benefit to the overall experience.
6. Gudrun and Eric run a smart small business! They use very up to date technology and only the amount needed to enhance the customer’s experience without investing too much in ‘systems’. The focus is their art and customers while operating in today’s technology.
