Big monsters, small monsters, scary monsters, cute monsters, sad monsters… Aww, the sad monsters are the saddest ever. I just want to snuggle them and tell them they are super scary to make them happy again. I love it!

Very cute art gallery/retail shop of artists’ monsterific creations! It’s hidden inside of Bluebird(go up the stairs). Don’t worry, they are«ice cream friendly» so you can buy your ice cream and tromp on up! They have both larger art pieces and smaller cute monsters to take home with you. Even if you don’t have a ton of cash to spend, you could walk away with a cool card for $ 7 or a cute mini tadpole figurine for 50 cents. The guy said they feature about 12 or so different artists, and they have a rotating ‘feature’ artist exibit.

I want to dash in here, plunk down my credit card, scoop up all the merchandise and run away screaming, «It’s mine!!! It’s all mine!!! You can’t have any of it!!!» A place called Snowmonkey’s House of Monsters is bound to do that to the best of us, but add in the fact that you enter through Bluebird Coffee & Ice Cream and I basically devolve into gimmee gimmee toddler. Nothing in here is saccharinely sweet and very few things cross over into scary. They seem to have struck the exact right balance between cute and creepy(which Lord knows I’ve been trying to perfect for years) to end up with a selection of merchandise that is oh-so covetable. If you have a monster need of any kind; plush, painted or plasticized they’ve pretty much got you covered. The elusive Alliteration Monster was spotted here once.
