We also love Connie and her class. She is fun and engaging. The children love her. At the end of every class my daughter jumps into her lap and gives her a big hug. We have been going for about a year now and we have been to both locations. My daughter sings all day long and makes up her own songs. This is the 3rd music class we have been to in Seattle and this is the one I plan to bring my next daughter too, as well.

Our son has been loving Music Together classes with Connie, and a great group of other children and adults, since he was 2 months old, at the Columbia City Church of Hope classes. He is almost a year now, and he uses rhythm, dance, patterns and singing throughout his day! The class is always a highlight of our week. And then we have the CD loaded to the phone etc to enjoy at other points during the days between.

Music Together is a great program! I started taking my daughter when she was 4 months old, and it has been a pleasure watching her develop musically, both in and out of the classroom. She is now a year old, and incredibly interested in instruments of all kinds, but mostly percussion :). We knew we wanted music to be a big part of our daughters’ life, and getting her started as an infant has been exactly what we had hoped — it’s fostered such a natural interest for her! There have also been a few articles coming out recently(the most recent in the New York Times) about how early music education helps with brain development, language development, and organization/memory. BONUS! :) Connie Coffman, the teacher of Songbird, is FANTASTIC. She’s a wonderful leader, enthusiastic, and engaging. Her love of children of all ages is apparent in every class. We plan on continuing to attend this class until my daughter ages out :).
