Poor service. So they are open today but they said due to the street fair their restrooms are closed. FYI when I buy something at Starbucks and want to use the restroom it should be the right thing to let me use your facilities. Also remember Starbucks the fair is bringing lots of customers. Unless your restroom is broken it should be open to your patrons. Really sad. Won’t be a customer at this branch in the future.

Spacious seating, great lighting. It’s the perfect place to study or go on a coffee date with someone just to catch up. The window counter seating has some nice natural lighting, and the best part — the glare from the glass makes the window look like a mirror from the outside so you can see tons of people checking themselves out — great spot for people watching(not creepy). The drinks are as good as any other Starbucks(better than the ones on UW campus). I have no complaints. If the line gets a little long, use mobile order and skip the line altogether as well as rack up some bonus points!

Single handedly the WORST coffee I’ve ever had before. Usually an Americano is lightly sweet but super strong and smooth. The«coffee» that I received from this Starbucks was worse than the week old coffee I forgot in the fridge. It was so burnt and bitter I actually dumped it out as soon as I got home. Never going back to this shop.

Why am I writing another review for Starbucks, you might ask? Yeah Starbucks is pretty much on every corner of the city, but I prefer this location over the one further up on The Ave. Why you might ask? * Later hours(11 pm M-F, 10 pm on Sat-Sun) * Spacious * Polite staff Ever since the bus re-routes(thanks to the UW Light Rail Station), its even more convenient for me to get a cup of coffee here before work. I love that I don’t have to try to sprint with a hot cup of coffee to catch my bus.

Eh, it’s a Starbucks. It gets crazy busy during school hours but lines move quick and efficiently. It’s convenient for me to come here on my way home to and from school but this place just keeps disappointing me sometimes. Three stars for nice employees but srsly take a look at my London fog…

Line was long. I waited for 6.74 min before ordering. Only 3 people were working, great things happen in 3’s but not here. Service was slow. Certainly a lack of stars here but I spent pretty of bucks nonetheless. Took another 4.31 min to get my drink which is 26% longer than comparable starbucks nationwide.

First off, let me say I was just here to offload old gift cards. Unless you’re in similar straights, get your coffee across the street, and support local small business. Now, I rant: Predictably mediocre/corporate, predictably overrun and trashed by students, you have to dodge a gauntlet of panhandlers to get in the cattle feeding line at this location. Moo. Their priorities remain unchanged; they have two people taking money, two gophers cleaning and fetching food, even a manager-type looking busy and avoiding eye contact, but only one overwhelmed albeit cheerful big, blonde, bearded barista with a cracking pubescent voice cranking out coffee far too fast to maintain quality. His fine example of grace and persistent effort under pressure earned the extra star you see– good on ya, man! But that’s the jolly green giant for you: SO eager to take your money… but not so quick to serve you good product. And it’s not that they can’t. They can. They just don’t. My Flat White, a drink I got because it was originally made with a palatable South American blend instead of that disgusting over-roasted, gritty espresso blend they’ve been choking us with for years, was instead made with their seasonal Holiday Blend, a nasty, bitter, almost robusto-flavored muck. The milk was over-heated as well. Complete swill. Dumped it out. Starbucks remains a mystery. They have vast amounts of money, access to all the best of everything; beans, equipment, personnel, and information(one assumes). Whatever corporate culture or leadership failing causes them to just occasionally approach mediocrity at this juncture is a head-shaker. It’s almost like some vast sick joke, like someone back in the nineties set out to prove Americans and indeed people the world over have no idea what good coffee tastes like, and will drink bilge water happily if it is shoved in their face and available everywhere they look.

My favorite Starbucks in UW. Very convenient and quick. There is no drive thru. Great for group studying and meetings. This Starbucks is generally the latest one open late. I love studying here at night! There is one open later in UVillage. If you want to come here to study I would avoid the peak hours: 6−8am and 1−3pm.They have a lot of open tables to study or even catch up with friends. However, there is tends to be a lot of homeless people at night but most of the time they are friendly and mind their own business. It is in the heart of the University way(the ave).

You would want to specify you want an iced drink otherwise they would give you a hot one even though it’s 90° outside.

Its a Starbucks. They are all pretty much the same, but I like to come study here in the mornings before class because they have super friendly baristas that work through the long lines really fast, and now that they remodeled there is always some seating available(even though it can get cramped).

There are flies chilling on their cookies and other foods so I told them there’s a fly in the food compartment and they said ok and doesn’t do anything about it. Health violation much?

WOW. It’s been a while since I’ve been here but since my days back as a student, boy has this place changed so much! The remodel definitely opened up the space and makes it seem like you are stuck around an awkward counter. There is so much more seating and feels like there is better lighting. Nice and clean and the baristas were very friendly! Before the remodel, it seemed like it was understaffed with long lines. Now I’m happy to say that I was able to get my drink much more quickly than before, which is great news for all of us!

Ehhh it’s Starbucks. I come here when I’m heading to class at UW because, well, it’s familiar to me. Isn’t reliability what people love about Starbucks? There’s always a line and they always move through it relatively quickly, but my usual order — venti soy chai, no water, no foam, is never that good from this location. But why?! I mean it’s chai concentrate and soy milk… why does the taste vary between locations? I’ll keep coming back because I’m predictable, not because I’m particularly loving this spot. Too honest? Oh well.

This is «my» starbucks, in that I come here at least 4 – 5 times a week while class is in session. I love the baristas here. They are super efficient, patient, and hard-working. They never mess up my order and the drinks taste consistent, even between different baristas. The interior is spacious and there’s plenty of places to sit and either get work done, or just enjoy your coffee while people-watching. I only knocked off a star because the Wifi situation is bad. It is incredibly slow, even when there’s not 40 people inside the shop using it.

How I heard of this place: This does not need to be answered. When it comes to Seattle. When It comes to Starbucks. You would have to be a newborn to not know of it. I cannot even remember the first time I came to this particular café… and know that any trip to it, will not be the last. Type of cuisine: Coffee shop fare with espresso beverages, teas and blended concoctions, pastries, breakfast sandwiches, packaged sandwiches and granola/yogurt, etc. Ambiance: This is one of the newly remodeled establishments with many brown tones, rustic with modern, industrial feel. Trying to establish a more cozy atmosphere, the large space with windows along two sides, individual, leather sofas and tables/chairs set up throughout the space and outdoors for those seeking glimpses of daylight(sun) in the chilly winter months. The order counter extends across the length of the other two walls, where a line is constantly streaming in and patrons placing orders. What I ordered: My go to in the winter, holiday season is the Starbucks peppermint hot chocolate, one of the only things I ever order and really the only of time of year that I frequent the establishment. On this visit, I ordered an eight ounce non-fat peppermint hot chocolate($ 3) with no whipped cream… bring on the dark chocolate sprinkles! My dining companion ordered a 20-ounce clover brew with steamed whole milk and simple syrup. What I loved: The sweet and festive peppermint in my warm, red cup! Why I loved it: It is a reminder of the comforts and pleasantries of the holiday season… And the taste consistent from store to store. Cost: Average($ 3-$ 5 per beverage)

I come here probably 2 – 4 times during the week, usually around 10am. Although lines can get very long, this is actually one of the Starbucks that I frequent that can get orders through more quickly and efficiently. I can’t say the same for some downtown Starbucks and the one on Rainier in Renton. Everyone who works here is also super friendly(usually) which is really nice since they’re probably dealing with grumpy college kids who make giant messes all the time. My coffee from here always tastes the same also, which I appreciate. Other locations sometimes vary and I have to have them remake my drink, but I’ve never had that issue here.

Growing weary of weak wifi and cold baristas I thought I’d give starbucks a try. Letdown! Internet was sloooooooow, baristas were cooooooooold when I ordered. Shortly after, the guy making drinks aggressively ensured that I’d ordered a drink before giving me the bathroom code. Bathroom wasn’t super clean either. Coffee was starbucks coffee and inexpensive, but mainly because you don’t get the option to tip via credit card anymore. Not my scene, not going back.

Thank goodness for expansion! This is a Starbucks I frequent before work, but don’t really spend in time in because it’s so small. FINALLY, they have expanded! They recently took over the shop next door and upgraded the entire experience. I look forward to seeing the finished product! Beyond the space issues, I find that this Starbucks is pretty good. They generally move pretty quickly and don’t often make mistakes. This location is constantly filled with college students, so fair warning on that! I’ve always found the service to be earnest and generally friendly. Not one of the most exciting reviews I’ve written, but I’m a fan!
