Starbucks is always a great way to get a kick start to your day. I’ve been coming to this Starbucks frequently. I’ve started to use the App to order ahead and it’s great when the lines are long. I can personally say that what makes me come to this particular location more and more is the customer service. I feel that the workers are genuine, sincere and want you to have a great day. I don’t enjoy waiting for my drink for more than 15 minutes… Thats just unacceptable. I once had the wrong order and it was partly my fault because I didn’t realize the drink came as hot or cold. The barista helped me no questions asked and even gave me a free drink coupon. Pastry case is always clean. I also love the fact that they offer free wifi here! They even can spell my name right which is amazing since other coffee shops always mis-spell my name! This Little Starbucks is the one inside the Safeway Grocery Store. They have a small coffee shop here, with friendly baristas. Usually only one barista on at a time so the service is slow, but the drinks are good. There is a little area with tables and chairs near by where customers can sit and eat lunch or drink their coffee. It’s kind of hard to find a good seat here it’s mostly crowded by students that are mostly on facebook, adults catching up on life and people relaxing on a tough day. The staff are always friendly and fast. Thanks Starbucks for an enjoyable experience! TIP: *If you sign up for the Starbucks reward program(registration is free), you’re entitled to a free drink when your birthday comes around. Keep in mind that you’ll have to redeem it in the 30 days after your birthday. *You don’t have to reach for bottled water in Starbucks, as the water at Starbucks may even be cleaner. The ice and water used in Starbucks is triple-filtered! *Need a smaller drink? Order a «Short». The short is 8-ounces and is priced significantly lower than a tall. *Dog treats? Order a «Puppy Latte»(aka«Puppicinno»). It is whipped cream in a sample cup. They are free.

I’m a first time customer at this Safeway Starbucks Rainier Beach. Veronica and Lacey are doing their job with gusto and a lot of smiles. I give them both an A+. They deserve a pay raise! Kudos to both of them.

safeway starbucks at rainier beach. they are all nice, but sometimes they’re always short handed. so don’t expect them to be really fast. duh??? look at the regular stabucks they always have 5 people to work at the same time but still they can’t say have a nice day after they hand your drink and can’t even smile. also they have 3 espresso machines to use. and the one at rainier beach they only have one… so think before you say say something«slow and lazy» starbucks inside rainier beach safeway is not a fastfood ok if you want some quick coffee then you better go to mcdonalds and act ghetto as your comment. obviously you’re from rainier beach ericka just saying.

I needed me some Starbucks and even though the reviews were meh, I searched this locale via my app on the way to my hair appt. I passed it a few times before I realized it was inside the Rainier Safeway, sheesh!!! I had to wait in line for almost 10 minutes to order and also to remind my barista it was decaf that I requested. The barista was short of friendly:(

Wow, Erica really doesn’t like this place. I on the otherhand, think it’s exactly the description of 3 stars A-OK. The staff can be a bit flustered and not every one of them makes a good cup but this is your most barebones Starbucks. They have a few items in the bakery case, they make most of the basic drinks but try and get tricky and they just can’t get there with you. You can check out a few items if you want, they don’t allow tipping and these are Safeway, not Starbuck employees so these folks are way less motivated than your regular SB baristas.

This is for the starbucks inside of the Rainier Beach safeway. If you’ve ever had the misfortune of visiting this location you already know how terrible it is. The salted hot chocolate is back in season so i ordered it. Cashier goes, «the salt is only seasonal and we don’t have it.»…well you have the signs up and it is holiday season so… what season is it coming back then? Annoyed, I just tell him to take down the signs, its misleading. After a quick staredown because he can’t think of what to say, I tell him just give it to me with no salt on top then. And of course, he doesn’t know how to ring it up nor make the drink. the workers here are lazy, they can’t multitask worth squat, no one can make a drink correctly, and the service is severely lacking. I can’t even recommend going to this starbucks to waste your time, you’d be better off grabbing some coffee from mcdonalds or 711(yes its that bad)
