I used to work here, soooooo, yeah I like it. Just reviewing to suggest that it’s not inexpensive. It’s moderately costly to pricey, depending on what you get. Some things on the menu worth noting are Espresso or Chai milkshakes, awesome spicy Chai(ask for«Maya»), and of course the grail-esque white coffee(not really my thing personally, but man, how do they who love it love it). There’s also some of the best pinball in north seattle(at a great price), and lots and lots of vegan baked goods. This place is a melting pot of U District culture, so expect variety. Obviously, there are the standard drinks too: drip, Americanos, Lattes, etc… Go here instead of anywhere else in the hood. Do it. There are also 3 house computers for internet access; the first 15 minutes are free with purchase. Free wifi for customers as well. Get a stamp card, too.

Had a hemp milk latte at Sureshot today. The coffee was tasty. The amotsphere was very laid back and the décor was eclectic albeit a little shabby in the best possible way– you can tell the place is loved by many. They have some vintage video games in the back of the café and vegan treats. This is the kind of place where one can spend an afternoon reading and drinking coffee. There’s no pretension whatsoever.

The white coffee was what drove our group to visit this place. It’s a pretty cool spot right in the middle of everything. The white coffee gave a great amount of jitters without the heartburn and was sweet. The music was pretty loud and the selection was great. However, the two downsides were the unhappy barista/cashier who lost her patience with me when I asked her a simple question and rudely jumped to the person behind me to take their order AND the guy who sat next to us and scoffed in disbelief at the volume of our conversation as he struggled to read his book in an otherwise loud coffee house. I wouldn’t mind coming back here at all. I guess the timing sucked for us.

Came in by 10pm and the barista was high. Gave me a cup of hot water despite I asked for Americano and take 10 dollar. Wouldn’t ever came again.

Amazing menu, gf scones, ave rats(and thier dogs or cats on leashes) adorn this place. It’s an Ave crassic…(Did he just mention Crass?). Don’t get corporate coffee, keep it indie and go to Sureshot.

Came in with my one year old son to get some coffee. The coffee was great, by the way. Had no cash so used my card and was told it was $ 5 min so I added a couple bananas to make the total above $ 5. Then I tipped the barista a dollar. Spotted a pacman videogame machine and thought it would be fun to play with my son so I asked the barista if I could borrow a quarter(she knew I had no cash) and, even though I had been forced to buy extra bananas and had still tipped her, she said, «no, why don’t you go ask one of the other customers for a quarter». Place went, quite quickly, from a hip and funky coffee shop to totally lame.

I am a regular customer on Sunday evenings. I enjoy the atmosphere, variety of coffee drinks and there is always a very dreamy music. I was debating on giving 4 or 5 stars, but the only thing that I dream about when I come to the place is to see more people who care about personal hygiene. But what is your chance to keep the place pefrectly clean and tidy when you work on University district? I guess I am just a Russian hygiene freak and it is not really management’s fault. Also sandwiches are decent quality, I tried the East Cost sandwich and it is got a lot of delicious meats, spices and lots of onion.Yaaammmm.

This review is based on their scones alone, as I have not had their coffee yet. Its hard to find parking in the U district unless already in the area, but I was craving a scone while visiting the ebbing cherry blossoms and reviews led me here. Perhaps it was because I came in the early afternoon but the scones they had(which sounded unique and delicious. They even have vegan options) were stale and very dense, even after being warmed up. I couldn’t finish either I had bought since it was soo heavy. :(Service was very friendly though and seems like an eclectic place to study !

Sureshot. So forever funky. There is room to chill, newspapers to read, computers to use. But I wonder if the people in the chairs dont live there and I am intruding on their home :( The #1 reason to come is their white coffee that is a type of bean(???) which doesnt upset your stomach. Its a smoother buzz if you will. There are punch cards. And ice cream.

Tasty, hazelnutty, rich, espresso you won’t find anywhere else. Kind of stuff that gives you a vibrant and happy buzz, better than booze. Baristas are experienced and take all the care to make sure the coffee is consistent and tasty. Don’t come here if you want a clean cut chain experience. Do come here if you want excellent coffee in an interesting and fun atmosphere, unique to Seattle. Support local business and try the great coffee and pinball at Sureshot.

This is my favorite coffee shop in the University District. Sureshot has been around for a long time, lots of locals come here, and the management really knows how to keep things real. If you can’t handle the realness, then go somewhere else. Although it may be rough around the edges, Sureshot reflects the soul of the neighborhood. I highly recommend the chai milkshake! And another plus — they are open late!

Every time I ask for a mystery latte at a café in Seattle, the barista gives me a look reminiscent of ‘Go eat some dirt’. Not here though, the friendly barista at Sureshot has surprised me with some of the best drinks I have ever had.

Great service and good coffee at a great price. A 12oz café au lait runs about $ 3.10 now that the prices have gone up. But there’s pinball in the back and some old tabletop videogames out front, as well as free wifi and a cozy space. Yes it’s dark and a bit grungy, just like the dive bar you love so much(except this place is pretty clean). The baked goods they offer aren’t stellar, but that’s not what I come here for. The scones are vegan and they’ll heat them up for you if you ask. I like it. Not sure I’d come here to lounge and read for long hours, but good place to pick up coffee or meet a friend for a cozy chat. Louis is the best!

This place is really random. It seems like they get a lot of regulars though. + nice service + has AC + Italian soda is good, but hey, how can you mess up Italian soda? — has a smokey smell — not a good place to study /work as the tables are old and chairs uncomfortable

I love this coffee shop to death, they have great drinks, pinball, board games, free wifi, all in a leisurely setting. This is the only coffee shop in Seattle(that I can find) to offer white coffee drinks as well as white coffee to brew at home. If you have never had white coffee, I can’t recommend it enough. It’s mellow and milky tasting yet somehow packs a bigger caffeine punch than traditional coffee, even gives espresso a run for the money. My favorite drink here is the Purple Rain(white chocolate and lavender). This place is a must try if you like coffee drinks.

The best coffee I’ve ever had! I love how this place looks too. It’s cozy, it’s cool, it’s relaxing! The guy at the register was awesome and friendly, there was a pinball machine, I also love that it stays open late! I shared some kind of dessert and I can’t remember the name of it, but it was delicious! I’m sure everything here is!

If I had to describe this place with one word, I’d say«grungy.» The inside is really dirty and dark. The music is pretty loud… I think they play punk music but I’m not sure. When I was there, heavy metal was playing with a guy screaming. I definitely could not hear myself think in this café, let alone read a book. The barista was pretty friendly and nice though and my cup of coffee was reasonably priced. I overheard the barista offer to get this woman who is probably a regular a glass of water even though she wasn’t planning on buying anything. I thought that was really nice of him to get to know his customers. I’d say that they’re located in a pretty good spot, right next to the university. If you sit by the window, you can people watch. There are a lot of funny characters who walk by and many street peddlers. Overall, this place has a lot of character.

I love love the white coffee here! I don’t know any where else in Seattle that Serves white coffee like here. I recommend the White Delight, especially iced on these hot days. I know also love the Pink lady is another good choice for the white coffee. Basically the while coffee is roasted at a higher temperature so its sweeter and more caffeine. Soooooooo good!

After spending a month in the Bay Area where apparently nobody drinks flavored lattes, I was looking forward to getting a vanilla latte in Seattle again. I didn’t have a lot of time to go exploring in the weekend but I happened to be on the Ave near UW, so this was the spot I picked. Sureshot feels really grunge/punk rock with its décor and music. Very chill and relaxed. No Starbucks atmosphere here(aka sterile). The vanilla latte I had was great. There wasn’t any latte art but the foam was not bad. The espresso that they used was very smooth and not acidic at all. The guy at the counter thanked me for choosing independent coffee shops and said I was a hero. What an awesome compliment! Not all independent coffee shops are good, but I like this one.
