WHOOOOOOOAAAAA!!! This place is a pay-at-the-counter, die-of-joy-at-the-table kind of establishment. I came here recently and had the Reuben Sandwich for the first time. My entire body was melting for the next 2 hours. The taste stuck with me for the rest of the afternoon. I have been back twice since and they were just as good as the first time. The staff are consummate professionals. The sandwich takes a little bit of time, so give yourself 20 minutes-ish from the time you pay to the time they bring your sandwich to your table. It is WELL worth the wait. The meat is perfect, the bread(from Grand Central Bakery, I believe) is toasted to perfection, and the sauce oozes from the holes in the bread. It’s slightly messy in a very satisfying lick-your-fingers way. I have rarely eaten food that provides a transcendent experience. This Reuben sandwich does just that every time. I close my eyes with every bite and contemplate with unfettered joy what a privilege it is to be able to be a human at this time in the history of the universe at the same time as this sandwich exists, and the odds of having found it. Do yourself a favor.

We live in the neighborhood but only learned about this place from Unilocal. It is amazing! Stopped by for takeout and tried the pulled chicken sandwich, meatloaf, pot roast, peanut butter cookies, and bread pudding. All so good… this is going to be added to my heavy rotation list for takeout! The store itself is totally charming too.

Take 5 catered our morning after wedding brunch and it was AMAZING. Seriously. We kept it simple with breakfast sandwiches for a 10am pick up. Take 5 was prompt and everyone raved at how tasty the sandwiches were. Our friends now request Take 5 breakfast sandwiches anytime they’re over for a morning Seahawks game.

Went for lunch on a Saturday. The soup was fresh and amazing, as were the sandwiches! The employees are friendly and proud of their product! My family will definitely be back… esp if they ever have that soup again!

Everything here is awesome. Breakfast sandwiches are straightforward but astonishingly good. All their sandwiches and salads are killer — the veggie sandwich will blow your mind. The Mac & Cheese is decadent. Good coffee, great beer selection, and plenty of solid essentials to save you a trip to the grocery store. On top of all that, the folks who work there are all great people. Love Take 5!

Stopped in and was greeted along with getting some of my favorite dishes like the grilled chicken Italian. Girl at front really helpful(I think she said he name was Erin). She suggested the Full Tilt Ice Cream Bars for dessert. There were salted Carmel, peanut butter and banana and a few other flavors but who cares; the aforementioned are amazing !!! Love this place, employees are always helpful and chill. See you at Take 5!

BLATT, BLATT, BLATT. Enough said. Amazing food(eat in or carry out). Lot’s to choose from for bfast and sandwiches as well as picking up something on your way home(wine, beer, pasta, cold cuts, etc).

This place is basically the epitome of a neighborhood convenience shoppe. In a heavily residential neighborhood is this unassuming corner store, complete with a small floor section for seating because you can order fresh sandwiches right from the counter! They come out quickly and use the best stuff, you can taste the difference. The people there are really friendly too! Which really makes it feel like a neighborhood shop. Which it is. I mean, it’s Seattle, but it still feels like it’s off the grid. Here comes the conundrum; if you’re not in the neighborhood, you’re likely not to make a special trip out. But if you are in the neighborhood, you already know how fly this place is and no Unilocal review is necessary. I might actually be back to try other sandwiches.

Love this place! All of their sandwiches are super tasty, from the meatloaf burger to the vegetarian sandwich(so flavorful — and the slaw that goes on top is like icing on the cake!). Everyone who works there is friendly — and I love that they have food items like milk, sour cream, lemons, etc if I need to pick something up on my way home. Call ahead — it will be ready when you get there.

I wanted to love the meatloaf sandwich but man, it was salty. I couldn’t finish it. But the soup and chocolate mousse were pretty good.

Good food. Little hard to get to and not on a main path. Mac and Cheese is very big. Wish it came in a size other than large would be a great side. Good sandwiches. Worth going to if you are in the neighborhood.

Came here for a bacon and egg sandwich. Probably the best I’ve ever had. My wife’s egg sandwich with eggplant and roasted peppers was delish! Can’t wait to have the meatloaf dinner one night.

My husband and I go there weekly because: 1. Their cobb salads are huge and every single ingredient is very fresh. I don’t get salads for dinner anywhere except here because I have very high dinner salad expectations. 2. The staff is always very fast and friendly. 3. Their homemade peanut butter cookies are off the chain! Please don’t go there though. We don’t want our takeout orders to take longer because of increased demand.

My favorite Seattle secret. I used to live just a block up the street and I ate here every week. You must try their bread pudding. It’s magical. I mean, we’re talking mind-blowingly-amazingly-incredibly magical. They’ve got this caramel sauce they put over it and dear god, it’s good. Whenever I’m in Ballard, I can’t resist dropping by. They’ve got a nice selection of local groceries and a decent wine selection. Their Reuben & pulled chicken sandwich are also very good. They do different dinners every night and every single one I’ve ever had has been incredible. Plan on picking your stuff up and taking it out. They’ve got seating, but it’s not really a great hangout place. Great little market. I will die a thousand deaths if they ever decide to close their doors.

Yummy yummy comfort food and a mini upscale convenience store all in one! We love their mac n cheese, but also can’t get enough of their desserts(ohmygosh, their desserts). You can’t go wrong with any of their choices, I think(as we are a vegetarian family, not sure about the meat products, but if they are as good as they smell, then you’re in for a treat). They are great with kids, and have a very mom-n-pop feel abot themselves while creating a fantastic menu. I’m glad they moved in a few years back. I’ve been around long enough to remember the old sketchy convenience store that was there, and I’ve been extraordinarily happy with the change!
