Tamara the Trapeze Lady presents The Columbia City Cabaret

Sexy show! Not for the feint of heart though, so don’t bring the mother in law without warning her first. ;)

Her shows are as good as it gets! This woman is amazing at everything she does. I only hope that you get to go to one of her shows… I will forever follow her!

Ah Tamara, my dreams of late are filled with sexy and sassy ladies cavorting on a trapeze. I blame you.
This was my first real burlesque show (the «Forty Deuce» in Vegas does not count – in case you ever go, see my review for that sad establishment). There were several performers who each did a couple of burlesque routines. Each of the ladies was very talented, although I think my favorite was Jessibelle (sp?). I loved her homeless burlesque, which included a newspaper fan dance. Sexy and apropos!
Tamara was a witty and charming emcee, in addition to performing a couple of sexy routines on her trapeze. Local columnist/​comedian Cathy Sorbo kept the audience laughing between acts. The efficient, wonderful staff at the Columbia City Theater kept us liquored up (see my separate review of the venue for some useful suggestions).
An excellent evening was had by all.

I did not see this infamous dildo fisting bunny scene that Prema J. speaks of but I did get to see some hot, hot stuff.
First of all, Tamara is a sexy lady. What makes her sexy is not that she is beautiful (she is) or half naked (she so is). Her brand of sexy is difficult to quantify in a Cosmo and Vogue world. She’s funny and approachable and downright bawdy.
The rest of the ensemble is entertaining but really pales in comparison. With the exception of Michelle. She is also an aerialist (there were three during this show) and is cute as a button. She also does a «balloon act» that will get you outta your seat.
Leslie Rosen was on hand to belly dance with fire. (Told you it was hot!) She’s a cutie and I can understand the appeal of a daredevil chic but her act seemed a little contrived and overdone.
Miss Indigo Blue showed up during intermission to peddle her very own line of hand made pasties. The line is called Twirly Girl and they are just gorgeous little trinkets.
The highlight of the night had to be the look on my hunny’s face when Tamara sat on his knee. He’s not easily undone. Thank you, Tamara.

This Little Lady pulls in every kind of talent Seattle has to offer! I am always impressed with the variety she brings to the table reminiscent of the true Vaudeville that was once offered on Columbia City Theatre’s Stage. (It is Seattle’s Oldest Theatre!) The venue is great for Date Night, Bachelor and Bachelorette Parties and especially Birthday Parties! You haven’t lived until Tamara sings you her favorite Dutch Birthday Song!
Oct.19^th’s show was packed and Stellar! Starring– «Aerialist» she performed a Feat on Aerial Tissu that left every other Professional Aerialists in the room Speechless! (Not to mention the audience)
The fabulous Pin Up Angel, Kitty Baby (Pin Ups Angels sends much needed supplies to our troops along with adorable Pin Up Photos) performed the most unusual act of a ZOMBIE Hula Girl! TOOO CUTE!
The Gorgeous MamaLou blew our minds with her «Strong Woman» act! She brought a gentleman up from the audience up on stage, sat him in a chair, placed a board between his legs and suddenly drove a huge nail into the board with her fist! He was unscathed, but the audience suffered a stroke! Yikes!
Burlesque of Seattle’s Own «Queen Of Shame» Trixie Lane, she is the Real Deal for Bawdy Bump N Grind!
Miss Indigo Blue, head school Mistress for the Academy of Burlesque delighted the audience with her striptease out of a Jack-​o-​Latern suit that actually lit up and later, killed em with her fan dance.
Tamara, not only collects talent, she is Talent! Her Parrot act on the Trapeze is beautiful and colorful! Her Poise and Grace are mesmerizing!
Columbia City Cabaret consistantly offers a fun night for anyone with an open mind towards eclectic entertainment! As with all Cabaret Shows you’re going to love some acts and not so much others but remember, Variety is hard to find these days and here at Tamra’s show– Quality is the name of the game!

Oh good lord, why oh why did noone warn me!
I saw this event on the Unilocal Event calendar, read the description and thought it sounded like a interesting twist on a can can show. Unfortunately, I should of paid more attention to the description of «We’re naughty, but nice!» which sounded fairly innocence at first glance. Let me warn you though… NOT innocence! KEY WORD: NAUGHTY! And they aren’t kidding.
Not knowing that the show had a naughty alternative exotic lesbian dildo fisting bunny theme I proposed the show to Ian’s parents on their first night visiting us in Seattle. Can anyone say «awkward»? I wanted to hide in a corner when the step by step lesbian fisting dancing montage came on after the girl in a bunny outfit masturbated her strap on that shot silly string on the crowd.
If it was just Ian and me– this show would of definitely been just fine. I mean we are both down with the alternative and being open minded but if I knew that this show was going to test the boundaries of exotic sex I would of not taking his parents there for a taste of Seattle. To me this was not clear in the description of the show– so hopefully I am saving anyone else from making the same mistake.
Beyond me being totally mortified watching Ian’s parents flinch for a two hour show of unexpected raw cabaret we actually had a good time. Thank God Ian’s parents were cool about it and laughed and made jokes with us after the show was done. I was completely thankful that Ian’s mother made the comment «Well you either have a good time or a good story».
Overall, the show pushed the boundaries of entertainment but I have to say that there were some very talented acts. There was an aerial acrobat from Microsoft that danced with red ropes that was amazing. Celebrating alternative lifestyles makes Seattle great and this show would definitely make a fun bachelorette party destination. However some acts were close to tasteless and the singing with banjos and penis drums were horribly off key. I must say I was impressed with the guy who stripped down to his boxers on a unicycle. Now that is a very specific talent!
